IXL

I have to do this every day except Friday, and I hate it. The SmartScore sucks. It should be called the StressScore. It actually starts out fine, giving you 14 points when you first get a question right and taking away 2 points. The Challenge zone. Ugh, dont get me started. If you get a question right, you only get 1-2 points. If you get a question wrong, kiss 8 of your points goodbye. That's right, they take away QUADRUPLE to 8 times of your points to points you earn when getting a question correct. The SmartScore claims that doesn't penalize students. It is like slavery. Even Adolf Hitler was better than this monstrosity. I would rather get arrested than do IXL. Plus, when I do IXL, I feel stupid when I get a question wrong. So, please do me a favor, go to IXL's headquarters and shut it down. Same for Iready's headquarters.

It costs too much by the way. If you want an actual good site that has a good cost, try Prodigy.
If you like this site, I can see where you're coming from, but I despise this with a passion.

IXL $#*!ing sucks. It's stressful painful and sounds like a whore this $#*! should be shut down. Ok ok

This site sucks, first the points are rigged you do 25 minutes of work than get one question wrong boom 15 more minutes of pratice for you. The timer doesn't help either its just more stress to get it quick but also not getting a question wrong probably. Only 4 or maybe 5 years old might like it but it destroys your mental well being. Second you have to do around 20-40 questions and they are extremly cunfusing and wears your brain out they give the worst examples and mark you wrong if you write it a certain way. Third ITS AUCATUALLY ASIGNED AS HOMEWORK AND SOME PEOPLE HAVE TO DO 3-15 A DAY THIS IS ANNOYING AND TAKES UP SO MUCH TIME FOR A SCORE THIS IS LIKE DOING 3-15 PAGES OF HOMEWORK EVERYDAY. I don't have images but one time I had to do 130 something questions.

I am a student in IXL i am 10 years old, i can say that Ixl is helpful SOMETIMES, when i do a quiz if i miss by a number or if i am dealing with a how to tell time lesson if i miss by a minute or if i click a letter like r h j k f or try to put pm or am it atomatically says your wrong it will take off more pionts then it gives and when you get in the challenge zone i am not kidding when i tell you GET EVRY WORD PROBLEM CORRECT, or you won't survive a lesson in IXL, but it can help you expand your thinking and help you think about different ways to think about that math problem, overall i would give them a 3 in a half rating, thank you bye-bye! Think if you want this for your children, don't mean to scare you, but its true.

It makes babies cry and makes the suicide rate increase by lot. My brother fell of a cliff into the marijuana trench after he did this.

Disappointed I literally never looked math as the fun same way it used to when I did this I would never do it again if I had a choice its bad for teaching

IXL is terrible it makes my kid so mad when he gets something wrong and goes back 7 and goes up 2 or 3 it is a terrible site! Do not Recommend!

Never get the app it the worst i would recemend iready because you dont lose you score and it just better you get to play stakm aka a cat game it just sucks

IXL IS THE WORST IT SHOULD BE A TORTURE METHOD TO MAKE PEOPLES ANXIETY GO THROUGH THE ROOF AND MAKE THEM WANT TTO INFINITELY COMPLETE A SKILL WHEN YOU CANT

Every time I click an answer it takes away only 1 I have to rate one star because of losing points on it

IXL is the worst piece of crap ever. I know that I'm just a teen but listen to me. If you are a parent or teacher, NEVER USE IT. Firstly, you will just be wasting your money on a bunch of $#*! that don't help your child learn anything. It creates stress on them. Out of the 10 hours a day I am on IXL, I spend at least 8 of them silently crying or screaming out of anger. It is so frustrating when you get 1 question wrong because there is something called a smart score and your goal is to get it to 100. However, for example, when you are at 90 and get 1 question wrong, your score will go down to 75 and it will take at least 20 questions in a row to get back to 90. IXL was an awful idea and only make your kids mad. My parents, having the Asian genes in them, forced me to do IXL every day to become the top of the class and ahead of everyone. I am not sorry to say that I broke multiple devices/electronics because I was so upset and frustrated that I kept getting the questions wrong. Once I ended up having to miss 3 days of school because I punched my iPad and got glass stuck in my hand really deep. In fact, I think that IXL will cause your child to think that all learning is like IXL and make them hate learning and become a bad/not willing to learn student. Every night, I cry myself to sleep because I still haven't finished and dread waking up the next day. It takes hours or even days to finish just one skill. Although there are explanations, they don't help, are too long to read at 3am in the morning, and sometimes aren't even related to the question. IXL drives me crazy. If I could, I would have put -******* stars. I have proof for you that I spend at least 1 hour on every skill and answer at least 200 questions. IXL is torture to every single person that even try's to answer 1 question. It really questions your child's will to live. NEVER USE IT. You can probably tell how much I hate this crap because I am writing a whole 10 page essay on how bad this piece of $#*! is.

Horrible garbage. Destroys your mental health. One smartscore point for a correct question and if yu get it wrong you lose about 20. Bull

Why does ixl exist.This is probably the worst thing to exist by far because of it's $#*! design as well as it's cruel punishments.

Ixl sucks dont waste your money on this i trigerrs kids dont even think about it i am being honest if you get right 1 point wrong -10 points
