“ISwegway! Steal From Autistic children!”

I purchased an iSwegway board for my Autistic sons birthday on the 21st of July 2016 and it developed a fault in July 2017, as the board was within its 12 month warranty and under guarantee, I contacted iSwegway regarding having it repaired, I was told that due to the board being in the last month of its guarantee, I would have to pay them £17:00 for the board to be collected by courier and sent off to be repaired, which I did! The board was collected by their courier, but has never been returned and despite me sending over 80 emails trying to contact them they have failed to reply. The address on their website is listed as a UK Based company situated in London (4th Floor, 90,86 Paul St, London EC2A 4NE). I was in London a couple of days ago on the 1st of February 2018, so decided to look them up, with the hope of getting some answers? I managed to gain access to the building, only to be told that iSwegway.Com were kicked out of the building around 12 months ago, due to many visits from the Police, Trading Standards, Customs & Exercise, and other organisations regarding their business practices. My son is who is Autistic is absolutely devastated that this disgusting company has STOLEN his prized possession. I'm not finished trying to recover the £279.99 we paid for this iSwegway board, and the additional £17:00 that these thieves have stolen from us. I would ask anyone who would be able to offer me any further advice regarding how to proceed on recovering our financial loss, in order that we could purchase a replacement board for our son. I would also advise anyone NOT to have any dealings with this unscrupulous company? Stealing from children, absolutely disgusting?

Great segway. Love it. It's a lovely smooth ride and you can go really fast. The lights are great.

Ladies & Gentlemen, Please note that iswegway.com is an extremely untrustworthy company. This company has completed a multi million pound scam under the trading name of SAVVIBUY at Christmas 2016, Please see the sitejabber reviews https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.savvibuy.com - They will trade very well until it comes to the festive period where they will take your money and close down. Pass onto everybody you know, this will be posted everywhere possible.

Within a day of receiving our hoverboard, it stopped working. We asked for a return and replacement but they said that their policy was to send faulty units of for 14-28 day repair. Even though we had clearly received a faulty unit at the outset. In the end, I chose to return for a refund and that's where the trouble really began.

Over the 3 months that followed, we must have made 30 phone calls to chase up the refund. They acknowledged that they'd received the return and kept telling us that the refund was approved. But it never came. When you ring this company, you get a third party call centre, not the company you've bought from. I am in no doubt after this experience that the call handlers are explicitly briefed to deliver pre-planned lies to any customer calling about refunds. "It'll be in your bank within 3 days" was a lie used well over a dozen times. One person said "I'll pop up to accounts straight after this call to make sure the refund is processed". When we pointed out that they were in a call centre and that the accounts department couldnt possibly be in the same building, the person got flustered and claimed that they had meant they would "pop up the road". The lies went on and on and on.

After 3 months of this, I tried to establish what company was actually behind the trading name 'iSwegway'. This proved really difficult - almost as if they had gone to considerable trouble to disguise themselves. If you look at their address on the website and click on the map, try looking it up on Google Streetview. You won't see any shop of office that looks like it could be this company.

Eventually, I got a stroke of luck and discovered that the company is actually 'Advance Technology Ltd': advancetec.co.uk.

When we rang the number on this website we actually got through to someone who worked for this company (rather than a call centre). He was surprised that we had connected iSwegway with Advance Technology and kept asking how we had found them. Extraordinary.

Anyway, guess what? More phone calls, more promises that our money would be refunded. No refund. Eventually we threatened legal action against them and finally we got our money back.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this whole mess was not caused by inefficiency but by a concerted and deliberate attempt (policy, actually) not to refund customers who return their products.

I would strongly recommend that you do NOT deal with this company. It has been the worst online shopping experience I have ever experienced.
