“Stole my money, refuses to send product”

As a frequent victim of identity theft, I used a prepaid AMEX card on their site. Their site "temporarily" charged my card, then declined the charge as the "billing address" wasn't the same. So, when my card was empty I threw it away (thinking it was a different card) and now irishcampusapparel.com refuses to acknowledge any wrong doing or send the merchandise. I've been on hold with AMEX for 45 minutes, but there's nothing they can do becuase of the "temporary" charge (from 12/27 - 1/3)?! That's not a temporary charge, it's theft. Latest response from the company: Hello Kate, Thank you for your email. If your credit card was declined, the card was unable to be charged on our end. The activity you are seeing on your account is just a pre-authorization made at the time of the purchase. It is not an actual charge. No money has been taken out and that activity will disappear from your account in a few days time. Thank you so much and so sorry for any confusion! Brittany

The activity you are seeing on your account is just a pre-authorization made at the time of the purchase. It is not an actual charge.
