Iq-institute took over $60 from me in just two months without my knowledge. It started with a $2 test — I didn't agree to anything more. Feels like a scam hidden in plain sight.

My experience with iq-institute was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. I took the test thinking it would be a one-time thing, only to discover recurring monthly charges I never knowingly agreed to. What's worse is that canceling the subscription is practically impossible. There's no unsubscribe button in the account dashboard, and their support email barely responds. I had to get my bank involved to block future payments. I'm shocked this kind of predatory business model is still allowed to operate.

The test itself was extremely underwhelming — it felt like it was designed more to collect payment than to provide any meaningful assessment of cognitive abilities. The questions were basic, repetitive, and lacked any credible scientific grounding. The "score" I received was incredibly vague and generic. After doing some research, I found numerous complaints online about the same thing. It seems like the purpose of the test is simply to funnel people into a recurring billing trap, not to offer any kind of legitimate IQ measurement.

I was initially intrigued by the idea of taking a quick, affordable IQ test online, especially since it was advertised as only $1.95. However, what followed was far from transparent. Within days, I noticed a recurring charge of $29.95 on my credit card. Nowhere during the process did I see a clear explanation that I'd be signing up for a subscription. I feel tricked. There was no email confirmation, no easy way to cancel, and no way to get a refund.
