I wanted to take the time to write to you and let you know that perseverance and listening to experience (like interviewsuccessformula.com), finally does pay off. I was in semiconductors for over 35 years (all I knew since finishing my service in the US Navy), and after leading and completing a series of massive globalization projects (fancy term for moving production to Asia), I came to realize that I had worked myself out of a job (29 years with my now ex-employer). I found myself stupefied and in a fog (realizing it had been decades since I found myself looking for employment), and also being just shy of 57 years old. I started utilizing resources I found on-line, and quickly realized how unpolished and outdated my skills were. I was scheduled for my first interview just days before I found their course (Interview for Success). I glanced over it and tried to pick up some quick pointers. Afterwards, realizing I interviewed terribly (I used to be the interviewer), I dived deeper into your course. Over time, I have continued to read their newsletters loyally, have attended their colleagues seminars and classes (utilizing several), and all the time "crafting" my story to tell. Now 2 1/2 years later (with all of this training and help), I have accepted an offer as a Plant Manager in a technical company. I am now 59, surviving COVID, and what a great way to start off the new year.
Stick with it... I almost gave up several times. Their newsletter helps with tips and other folk's stories (like mine)... It took me over two years, but I got a really good job offer.
Interviewing For Success
I have been with the same company and industry for years. In an effort to diversify my portfolio I went out of my comfort zone to create additional growth in my career. I found that things had changed a little since the last time I interviewed.
Taking the advice to research the company helped weed out jobs that were not in line with my goals. Learning why an interviewer asked a question helped give me the confidence to provide a meaningful response. Taking the InterviewSuccessFormula quiz provided an introspective about myself to paint a picture that was reflective of my motivations and values.
Each step provided resulted in a successful interview for my dream job.
InterviewSuccessFormula delivers very logical, detailed and practical wisdom.
The large ideas are broken down into smaller steps to help you analyze yourself in order to be more prepared for your interview.
So many aspects of this important process are addressed. More than that the owner reaches out and offers support. It is so worth every cent of the purchase. I have recommended it to friends at my recent conference.
I signed up and eagerly read all emails, however did not complete any activities - inlcuding the main online questionaire. I was dissatisfied with various aspects of my role, but the time wasn't right for me to begin job hunting.
However reading all the emails ensured I was aware of the strategies that work in job hunting, even though I wasn't applying them.
Fast forward 10 months or so, and my employer announced the business had been sold, half the positions would be made redundant (mine was one of them), and I had four weeks of employment with them prior to receiving my package.
Naturally this prompted me to complete all online activites, revamp my resume and become active on LinkedIn! All the tips from the emails were part of my Knowlege Bank already, I just needed to complete the practical exercises - which I did.
I applied for one job and had the interview while still employed (I work part time so attended the interview on one of my non-work days).
The day before the interview I was solidly preparing my responses to the interview questions with this specific role in mind.
Interestingly, most of my day was spent reading, drafting, editing - it was very late in the evening when I read over the final versions and decided I needed to get a good night sleep if I was to be at my best for the interview. On the train commute in the morring I was reading over my prepared research. I remember thinking - I'll never rember all of this!
But guess what? I didn't need to 'remember' it, as success is not about rote responses. As advocated by Alan, and experienced firsthand by me, the most important thing was the preparation - actually doing the research on the company, job role, and how my experience fit what they were likely after. I was able to answer their questions concisely because I'd put in the effort.
Also - their first question threw me as they didn't follow the usual flow of questions to expect. However it didn't matter because I was familiar with how my experience fit what they were asking for, I had practiced formulating my responses in Situation - Action - Result format and had analysed how my strengths and development areas related to the role. This meant that my responses had a natural element that rote responses lack. Leaving the interview, I remember being satisfied, knowing my performance reflected my capability acurately.
I got the job! There was a two week gap between the last day of my outgoing role and the first day of my new role; this pleased my husband although I would have preferred 4 weeks between roles but never mind!
That was an 'initial 3 month contract' three days per week - it was not only exactly what I was after, 14 months later I'm still there, and am likely to be there another 10 months at least, and I'm using Salesforce on this project which is going to increase my employability once the project finishes up. It's truly been an 'interview success' for me.
I still read all the emails, and know that eventually I'll need to revisit the activities when this role ends.
I highly recommend the program, resources, online tools, and emails - they were and continue to be invaluable to me and have more than paid for the initial investment of time and money.

Returns are rally n/a - why would you return something that works brilliantly? However from memory there is a money back guarantee if anyone is dissatisfied.... You won't be dissatisfied!
If you're at the stage where you're reading reviews, you're probably wondering whether or not you should do this, if it's worth it, or if it's just a waste of time. You should do it, it's worth it, and it's not a waste of time. And, although it will take some time to go through, even if you have an interview tomorrow, you can still get through enough of it tonight that it will definitely put you more at ease. You will definitely do better than you would have done without it. Interviews are not so easy to get; you cant afford to blow the ones you do get.
My story: I am terrible at interviewing. I hate it. I'm not good at selling myself. I'm not a good talker... I'm much better on paper. I'd rather under-promise and over-deliver and anytime anyone would ask me a question like, "what are your strengths?" or "tell me about yourself," I'd freeze like Cindy Brady on the quiz show whenever the little red light came on. I'd blabble on about something, and circle back and make a mess of it.
This course gave me the confidence - and the tools - I needed to go in and do extremely well in the interview process. It's not just a bunch of: "chin up, you can do it, think positive" ideological crap. There are real, concrete steps to take to prepare you for an actual interview, real stuff that will help you. The self-assessment is awesome... just answer the questions as honestly as you can, and you'll be surprised by how helpful and accurate the custom-tailored answers they give you actually are. You'll probably find yourself adding to them, or tweaking them a bit depending on the job you're interviewing for, but it's an invaluable starting point, and well worth the money. Actually, its worth the money and THEN some.
The first interview of my job search was with 8 people, one right after the other, from 12 noon to 1 PM. Frightening? It was actually fun, says the person who formerly couldnt answer an interview question to save her life. Interview Success Formula enabled me to do extremely well, and it was a very positive experience all around. Unfortunately, I lacked experience with their particular ERP system, which ended up being a non-negotiable: they needed a super-user who could whip all the old-schoolers into shape, and I couldnt overcome that, not even with my really great how I learned to snowboard really snowboard, not just sliding down the mountain in a week flat by going into my overcompensation mode story. And honestly, it wasnt a right fit. I was sad though, because I truly liked all the people I talked with and we had some great conversations (I am not a great conversationalist by nature.) I didnt get the job, but I got a very nice email from the HR person saying that on the plus side, I made a great impression on the entire interview team and that they would be happy to consider me and speak to me whenever another opportunity arose in the Supply Chain division.
I was depressed about this. I thought this was the only company I could possibly work for or want to work for, and stared at the phone, waiting for them to call me about another opportunity, waiting for someone in their Supply Chain division to move away, or worse.
But then, out of the blue, a stroke of luck probably akin to winning the lottery: I saw a listing for a very recently posted job. I know applying to jobs online is a really bad way to get a job, but I had a goal to apply to one company on line every day, just in case. The wording of the description appealed to me, as it was free from the technical gobbledygook that doesnt even make any sense. Taking what I learned from Interview Success Formula, I researched the company, liked them even more, knew I had to work for them, and wrote a different type of cover letter, one that didnt make me sound like the typical results-oriented boiler plate professional. The next day they called me for an interview the next day, saying I sounded like a "uniquely qualified candidate." Fortunately, with everything I learned from Interview Success, I was now prepared. I did even more research, tailored some great stories to this particular job and company, which was very easy to do, because Id already had a bit of practice, and because it already felt like such a good fit for me, even better than the first company had felt.
The interview started at 10:30. I had an intent of an offer by the time I left at noon, and a firm offer emailed to me by 1 PM, that same day, for more than Im making in my current job, which is not trivial. I didnt even have to negotiate, not one item. I would have settled for less because I know Im well paid for what I do now, and kind of intimated that in the discussion (stupidly, I know, but whatever. See? Im really bad at selling myself). I was STUNNED when they offered me more. They said they couldnt believe their luck in finding such a well-suited candidate. I cant believe MY luck in finding them. Yes, theres a lot of luck involved, being in the right place at the right time, but I KNOW without a doubt that this WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED if I hadn't done the Interview Success Formula. Not in a million years. Even if I had gotten to the interview, I would have blown it. I know this.
Dont second guess whether you should buy the course or not. You should. It will help you at least have more confidence in your ability to talk about yourself and that is super important. The job search is hard, and not being able to interview is one worry you can reduce from the start. Good luck, all the best, and buy this course now!
I accidentally purchased the $47 add on for a virtual coach. I called them about this, and they didn't even make a fuss about it. They said they'd refund the $47 immediately but it would take about 5 days to process. I was shocked and pleasantly surprised they didn't take the money and run.Great experience from start to finish. The webinars they hold, too, are excellent. I cancelled out of the last one I signed up for, because I had just accepted a dream-job offer that day. That was surreal.
When I came across the online ad for this, it piqued my interest because of the "Superman" pose. So I continued to watch the infomercial. Somehow it convinced me and I made the investment. It's been helpful to me during the time I was looking for job. I was out of work for 5 mos and happy to say I will be starting my new role mid-March.
The tools interviewsuccessformula.com provide are "common sense, yet not so common." When you go through them, you'd be thinking "I know these things" yet you've not applied them. These tools will help you focus your job search and provide you with the confidence you need to go through the rigorous interview process.
Good luck to anyone still in transition and those who are wanting and needing a career change.
I was very nervous about going for for my first interview after so many years of working when I came across the InterviewSuccessFormula. At first I was skeptical about paying for a program that teaches you how to be confident and ready for an interview, but after going through the program and having a successful interview I realized the money spent was well worth it. All my answers to the questions asked during the interview, I had learned from going through the program. I would refer this program to all my family and friends
