I bought a Platinum membership for 3 months at about 60US$. But after 2 days a canceled already any automized prolongation after the 3 months. From the fisrt day I received each day like 15-20 messages from Ukrainian Asian and African accounts which sometimes not even have their own account with a foto or may be just one foto but not any information in their profile. Those scammers are ignoring everything you write in your profile, sending standard texts and are only up to collect data. They are asking for your E-Mail or whatsapp in the first message to continue conversation outside Cupid. If you step into this trap, they will start to scam you by asking for money soon with adventures stories in 9 out of 10 cases. I allways reportet and complaint those cases to Internationalcupid - may be too often because I became an unliked member, complaining too often. Then I put in the headline of my profile: "No Africans" But nothing changed all the $#*! up continued. Finaly I received after only TWO weeks membership the message from internationalcupid that my profile was blocked and can not be reopend again. I received no warning before! I got no chance to comment any wrongdoing or behavior. I mean even in the worst Dictatorship and military state like North Korea you get the chance to defend a denunciation or indictment. But Internationalcupid plays god to rip customers off themselves. Customers who complain too much and too often seem undesirable. Save your money, this site, like Badoo, is not worth purchasing a Gold or Platinum membership. And Badoo is even the worst app. You could better spend the money on a good dinner. Then you will at least get a serious service. If you don't want to believe all the negative reviews here, then make your own disappointing experience
Don't waste your money in Internationalcupid unless you want to be scammed either by FAKE members from Africa, Ukraina or China
I signed up for fun just to check it out and I must say this site got to be one of the worst sites around.
99% of the profiles are fake, bots and scammers.
I am pretty sure that the owners of the site are also in on the scams to get people to sign up.
First I signed up for a free account after a day or 2 i logged in and I was upgraded to a platinum account.
Then a lot of attractive ladies contacted me and after chatting with a few my credits were up and I had to pay to see the messages.
I thought why not just take a test month to see what all the fuzz was about and I noticed that the ladies that contacted me stopped to reply as soon as the subscription was upgraded.
100% sure this where the fake profiles of the people that own/controls the site.
In the coming days, I was spammed with 50+ messages each day with scammers. Fakes and hackers.
Since I signed up for fun and know how the scammers and hackers worked I thought I would check how many were actually real people and out of 50+ not a single one.
I talked with a few on email and WhatsApp but I was careful on what information to share and for sure not open anything that was sent to me such as files etc.
The images of the persons did not match the profiles and each time I got send different images.
So to see how many were real I asked them to take a photo and hold a not with my name on it.
This was something they could not do ofc since they all are fake so it's easy to unmask them.
I kept playing the game and check out more and more profiles and each time the same thing happened.
After unmasking a lot of fakes my profile photo got deleted and I could not re-upload a new one.
That's was just less than a week paying and there is no use to be on a dating site without an image.
So I guess the owners where afraid that I would unmask more scammers.
I see that they reply a lot on the reviews about contacting the support but the fact is you guys are just a bunch of fake scammers and there is no need to report scammers because a lot of them are your accounts (owners of the site).
I can see a lot of desperate men looking to find love will fall for the trick they play on this site but i do warn you to stay away from this site everything is fake so signup for a reputable site.
I will try out a couple of more sites and see how bad it really is or if there are actual sites where you can meet real people.
But this site it an absolute no go.
Stay away from this site and don't listen to the so-called support/staff of this site they are just as bad as the users.
Tried this ca. For 3 weeks. You will get likes and automated bot messages daily. Mostly you will be showered with messages by women from African countries (avoid those like the plague, Africa is very well known for online scams), S. E Asian countries and sometimes by hot women from Eastern Europe. Either they write a s***** automated message, ask you (or send you) for your WhatsApp or write in s***** English. The site operates with full knowledge that they got scammers yet do nothing to stop them in their tracks. The whole thing feels like an op.
Also, they have a feature where you can verify yourself by showing them your own country's ID (in this case a passport, but I sent them a heavily edited version of my ID and they have neither confirmed nor denied that this was okay). In other reviews, I have seen some poor souls actually sending them pics with full ID's and their SS number which is absolutely bonkers. Poor bastards.
The app looks cheap and trashy to the eye. Once you upload a photo they depixel your original to a s****** quality because they slap on a watermark with their logo on it; which makes it hell for people who actually wants to use the site (like me) to run a simple reverse image search on a photo (to find out if the person i am talking to is INDEED real) but now the code is shredded so now the photo is "one of a kind" and you'll never know if the pic is actually used on any other sites or social media - easy to cover up identity fraud. Clever move, IntCupid.
Price is about 40 USD a month and don't get hustled as this follows an auto-renew function. Go into settings and select to not auto-renew.
- Seems to be targeting elder gentlemen, the not so net-savvy people plus the thirsty and the desperate. It is easy enough to spot a fake profile if you stay there long enough.
- An entire SEA of fake profiles. Can't even guess the percentage. You will be sent likes/favorites daily and messages as well. Just think about how unsuccessful you are in your local area and then there's a website where a horde of hot models rush to your profile wanting to talk to you lol. The creators have a full knowledge that it's full of scammers, yet they do little to nothing to combat them. If you have a contact with a girl with a non-existing 1 pic profile and it takes hours or days for her to respond, it's probably a scam.
- Never under any circumstance send them your money or any personal info that may be used against you in blackmailing or a monetary scam. Always back up all your accounts with safety measures, use burner mails, put in fake name, etc. Matter of fact, stay away with any site that ends with "Cupid". Matter of fact, stay away from any services by Cupid Media.
- Last message for the site representative. Go **** yourself, corpodrone lol. Y'all know what you're doing. Well played.
Im not a native english speaker so pardon my french
Don't send your money to anyone, don't share your personal info, don't give out your phone number or anything in general that could be used in a blackmail/ ID theft or online scam against you and your closest ones.
I have used this site on and off for a couple of years and wanted to give an account of my own experiences, as I've noticed quite a few reviewers who have come away feeling confused and distressed.
It is a basically genuine site, so long as you also accept that not all the profiles are real. One problem is that signing up is very easy - you can create a near blank profile if you like - and so scammers do turn up and will make contact with you. Perhaps the site administrators could make ID verification compulsory (at the moment it is optional), although of course they would lose a lot of their members who might not want to upload a photo of their passport or driving license into the site.
So my advice is, if you want to get the best out of the site (and there are real jewels within to be found), then you just have to learn to deal with the scammers. For example, be instantly suspicious of any profile which shows a beautiful, model looking girl with a single photo and almost nothing written on her profile. And not least when she writes you a generic email, having obviously not looked at your profile, and tells you she wants your email address so she can continue correspondence elsewhere.
In general, if a woman's first response to you is monosyllabic, or she is immediately asking for further contact details in some ways, through other social media, then don't bother. Someone who is really interested in your profile will make the effort to write in the normal way and get to know you a bit better.
And in relation to that, accept that while some beautiful women who seem interested will be fake, others will be completely genuine. You just have to be able to judge it. You don't have to walk away straight away if you're suspicious, take time to check out the person, as you would in a normal face to face situation. Just don't part with any personal information (or money) until you are sure. If they are honestly interested, they will accept that from you. And in relation to that, don't fall in love with the first beautiful woman who comes along and flatters you, as if you'll suddenly do anything for her. Avoid getting carried away with your emotions until you actually meet this person and see them in the flesh.
Keep it real: think about how you expect to communicate with people in normal life. If a woman seems a bit strange, or disinterested, or there are obvious contradictions in what she tells you, then be suspicious as you would if you had met her face to face in a bar.
If you can exercise a little judgement and not get carried away, then I can tell you that the site is otherwise a little treasure trove. I have been on hot dates with women from South Africa, Germany and Denmark over a period of 12 months, and I was not even a regular user of the site. I am now engaged to the third women I met - we corresponded for a month online before first meeting, and we just clicked. I just knew she was for real quite early on.
So to sum up, I would say that at least 80% of the profiles are completely genuine. Over time, you do get better at spotting the bad apples. So don't give up hope! There is someone out there for all of you. Good luck!
