Fought tooth and nail to keep your refund The second much higher charge for a service that I didn't use, going to their customer service, PayPal, my bank, and these fellas took the money and run. Make sure not to use this service at all, but if you do, make sure you cancel the """subscription""" after you use the $1 search, otherwise you're not going to have a fun time getting your refund. All in all, didn't help with my dispute, fought my bank and PayPal mercilessly to keep the money and left me with the bill! Dishonest, stressful, and shady.- the Intelius way!

I did not intend to sign up for monthly account and billing. I didn't notice until after I had been billed for 3 months. I called and got through to customer service immediately. And then received a full refund for all 3 months that posted within minutes. No drama. Very impressive.

Let me begin by saying that both of us are completely ignorant as to how your process of gathering and filtering all of the available information out there and narrowing it down to one single person is mind boggling. (yes, I'm old) I found myself in a situation where I needed specifics regarding my sisters affairs and some of her friends that I've never met to inform them of her passing. Some of the reports I got back I knew were bogus and some seemed just wrong. Then Nikkole answered our phone call and our questions. She was so helpful it's silly. I wrote this already. The 2 ladies at Intelius did a great job getting me hooked-up, but signing up should be way easier on your website. It only took a dumb phone, laptop and baby tablet to get the job done and a good - plus hour at that. I tried a trial membership with this company and couldn't find out the information I needed which was probably information no one could find out. I do respect the facts that they gave me no problems canceling and they didn't make it complicated and they refunded the small amount of money I put down for the trial membership. I will admit that the Intelius website is fairly tricky. If you plan to use their paid services I would advise you to be observant, cautious and to male sure you read the fine print. The next sketchy thing that this website does is they try to target your wallet. What I found was that regardless of what I clicked on, for example, it always triggered an offer for paid services even if I was purposely trying to avoid any sort of paid services. Another example is, I needed to do a reverse phone number search for a number that continually called and texted me. Yes, you need to create a login username and password to use paid services, so I literally only paid less than $1 for one reverse phone number search. I was disappointed when the results of that search were absolutely zero results. Later, like a couple days later, I got an email from them saying that yes their were no search results for the number and they were refunding my money. At that point I decided it would be a good idea to contact them to make sure and verify that I had not signed up for any service that would bill my card on file. I even made them delete my payment method on file with them.Then, 9 whole days passed by and BOOM a $39.48 charge popped up on my PayPal account! WHAT! Oh no they didn't! Obviously, I called immediately. This is where I was definitely impressed! The kind, polite and courteous woman I spoke with listened to what I had to say and quickly responded with an apology and offer to be refunded right then and there. She assured me that, if I wanted, she would delete my account. Which of course I did. And even then she offered me to use their paid services for 30 days free of charge for the inconvenience. Very impressed with the customer service and support she provided me. That much I definitely appreciate!

I was angry because I was charged a fee without consent also this felt like catfishing because it kept wanting more money, so deceiving. I canceled after an hour and it was surprisingly extremely easy. I called and it was canceled. The next day I received call from a kind person who wanted to discuss my review so I told him about my experience and was shocked when he not only refunded the 3.99 Not approved by me but the whole fee 29.00. Wow! That is honest. So I do recommend this service wholeheartedly. I do wish There were more information available for me though but I didn't keep paying more fees as it went deeper. I didn't lose any money so I am very grateful.
