Shame on IndianEagle
Separated from families and visiting loved ones, once in a year for vacation need good memories. But Indian Eagle has turned it sour for me and lot of other customers. I had booked my tickets with them for CLT to MAA. One of the connecting flights was cancelled from CLT which was operated by United and the rest was AI.
No notification that my flight was canceled, when I enquired with United - they confirmed it was canceled. On repeated calls to IndianEagle almost 7-8 times for almost like 5 hours - I was told it still shows as confirmed in their systems and flight is operational. They cannot help until it gets updated in system, I was told to contact United directly and check for rebooking, if it was canceled. Since tickets were booked by IndianEagle - United cannot re issue the tickets. Before IndianEagle could agree flight was indeed canceled, all flight options were exhausted. Then I was told by IEagle to approach Air India and they were clear to - that only IEagle can make any changes to record, as the booking was done by them.
I was told, since its weekend, AirIndia offices are not operational and they will try to check for options. But nothing changed, only what was changed is their terms and polices and lies depending on situation. As nothing was worked out, I asked for refund.
Guess what?
Then I was told - I had to cancel my itinerary and accept for partial refund - ONLY then out will be processed. Since connecting flight was canceled by United, Air India flights are still confirmed. So I had to do this voluntarily and only I will be eligible for atleast partial refund or else my whole money is lost. This is what I heard for first time from them.
How will I even get into my connecting flight? When my first flight is canceled - the whole itinerary stands canceled by default. They are well trained with bundle of lies and no fair practices. Be cautious!
It doesnt stops here - At this moment, I was okay and canceled it on their portal, since getting a partial refund also is nightmare with these guys, after studying other reviews. I haven't received even this refund even after 3 months, nor any specific date is being shared.
And what's more atrocious and awful at this moment is - I was charged USD 125 in addition after a month as cancelation service charges by Indian Eagle.
I dont get a full/ partial refund and in addition to their services provided - where flight was canceled - Instead of them compensating me, I was charged USD125. They indeed have to train and research their representatives how to cheat and charge fradulent/ hidden fees, so levying service charges - might be justifiable for them.
