Received two rattan poufs for first Houzz purchase. One has a stitching defect but too time consuming and big to ship back and replace. Had trouble using promotion code so had to call for help. That purchase allowed a 25.00 off promotion code which promoted me to search for lighting. Hopefully this is packed with care and works fine in my dining room. The product assortments are good.
Bought a full dining set from them. Everything was okay, until one, then two, then three of the chairs started to come apart. The company REFUSED to do anything about it because it was a little over a year. The 10% coupon they offered on future purchases added insult to injury. Probably moving this year and we know where we won't be getting our new furniture.
I've been using Houzz for many years and have been very please up until the most recent order. The website misrepresents the actual cabinet color. It is described as black oak grain however it is actually brown. Now I'm told I will have to pay for the shipping cost ($350.00) to return an item that is incorrectly marketed on their website. Very frustrating and I will no longer be using Houzz in the future.
I ordered a faucet from Houzz and they were not the ones sending it. It was a company called AffordableVariety.com. They have a terrible policy that you cannot return or get a refund for a defective product if you don't tell them within 3 days of getting it. I purchased my faucet over the holidays and didn't even get a plumber over until mid January. It worked 6 weeks. Neither Houzz nor this fly by night company AffordableVariety will stand behind it. I am just out the money. I saved the condescending and rude email from Affordable for the BBB who has a number of complaints on Houzz as well.

I'm a small business owner and paying Houzz a monthly fee for advertising.
Since we lost our income now, we asked Houzz to hold our billing until after this crisis is over and we can get back to people homes and work.
Their respond was only one month free or 4 months penalty if we canceled now.
I don't think that a big company like Houzz should take advantage of small businesses these days.
I will not continue using them in the future and will not Recommend them to our clients anymore.
My pillows were great quality. I am familiar with this designer products. Could not use them inside due to shades of green and busy designs in small condo. I dealt completely with Houzz on everything including shipping and possible return. Did not see return cost until I tried to. Decided to keep and give away or after redo of small balcony see if they work.

Website does not allow me to purchase listed item. Spoke to customer service. They confirmed that there is a problem with the listing. I feel they should have set to follow up to let me know when product listing problem was remedied. I have been checking a few times a day. This problem is discouraging me from puchasing this item, which is not in Houzz' interests

I need 4 chairs and ordered one to make sure they'd work. By the time I got the chair, the chairs were out of stock with no estimate for when they might be back in stock available.
I had to return the chair and took over a 30% hit on the return fee. I ended up ordering similar chairs direct from Poly & Bark with a discount which at least covered the return fee.
My fault for not confirming inventory but would have hated to order 4 and have them not work and be unable to return all of them.

We received the items ordered, but the imitation brick wall we wished to install came with no directions and are warped! My husband requested someone to please call us and make recommendations for the install. We never were contacted. I received a $25 dollar discount so thought I would order the pair of chairs, however while checking out there was nowhere to input the discount so I reached out to customer service only by text. They were unable to help me and I never received the discount. Now with one broken chair problem I am still waiting a week later to find out if they will replace it.

I had previously purchased these same chairs for my dining room set and needed two more.
Received the light fixture fast enough-but had to return it. Still haven't received refund or message regarding receipt-going on 1 week. Also-still waiting on a mirror that I ordered about a week ago.
Didn't know the origin of the light fixtures I ordered. If I had known these were not US made I would not have ordered. They come up under search for US made items.

I ordered online a vanity which was over $1,000 and during the ordering process was offered a 10 percent discount for first time buyer. At the end of ordering, I assumed they would put the discount on but NO! I called and they said they couldn't help me since that has to be when you order it, not later! THEN, the middle drawer is missing the drawer rollers and some of the wood is dinged! Needless to say, will NOT ORDER from this company again!

We bought a shower fixture that, by all indications, was brushed gold in finish. When we received it, it was more like a light brown than anything else. Nice fixture, terrible color. To add insult to injury, we had to pay for return shipping. Not cool. Will opt for sites where returns are free.

Don't buy from these guys. I ordered a heater from them, and it never arrived. However, they refused to give a refund.
Update- I subsequently was contacted by someone from Houzz, who was very helpful, and wound up getting a full refund.

I purchased a rug for $460 (not including tax). The colors in the picture on the website did not match what I got and did not look good in my space. I wanted to return, but the return postage was going to be $415. I chatted with customer service and they said it would actually be $386 or so. I said that was too much and they said they would "review it" and get back to me. Then they said they would split the cost and it would be $190 postage to return. The amount kept changing and I was afraid if I sent it back I would get tagged for the full original $415. Luckily I had a friend looking for a rug and she loved it, so I sold it to her for $400 and only lost $60. I think the return shipping cost is a scam...how could they sell me a rug for $460 and spend $400+ to send it to me in the first place? I would recommend not ordering something large and/or heavy from HOUZZ or you might be paying the price whether you like the item or not!

They wanted to deduct $415 for shipping a $460 item back, so a minimal refund is how I would describe it.

Used paypal express and it overwrote my shipping information (without notifying me), leading to a large product being shipped to the wrong location. Cannot return it because customer must pay for shipping for returns. Could not contact Houzz to change the delivery location. Horrible customer service. DO NOT BUY FROM HOUZZ.
The chest ordered from Houzz was made India and took months to arrive, a delay that could be excused given covid and the disruptions to the supply chain. However, the color of the chest did not match the photo, which showed a more uniform color. The chest that arrived was made of a multi-colored wood and looks blotchy, and the middle drawer won't open. I'd be very hesitant to buy another product made in India.

We bought an entranceway fixture for our daughter for Christmas. As this was a major undertaking to install, my husband began the process after the 30 day return policy. The entranceway is two stories up so not something you can quickly install. As he began the process of assembling, he noticed one of the pieces of wood was cracked. He contacted Houzz and received a reply that unfortunately it was passed the 30 day policy. All he wanted was a replacement piece, not to return the whole fixture. For the price we paid, we are disappointed since there was obviously a defect in their product.

We've always like what we've seen on this site. Didn't know if we wanted to spend as much as we did with this company but they had a return policy that looked good. Until we received our $800 bathroom cabinet. We open ONE box and that's it. To see that it's not the right color we really wanted. Now we try to return it, just to find out that now we have to pay $288 to return it. Also they're going to refund our return MINUS the delivery charge back to them. So I'm not even getting my full money back to order something else from them. Not good!
So unexceptionable! This Was the first and last time we ever order from this company. I'm seeing why this company his only getting 2-2.5 star ratings.

Very thin and gave me wrong item. They wanted photos, paper work, code, when they made the error. Took month to finally get a retun frow towels. Worse most complicated web ever made. Don't buy from them. It wont happen and you'll be disappointed. Only reason give 2 stars finally after month getting return.

After 10 days, 10 emails back and forth, and almost 3 hours on the phone in 5 different times, still have not been able to return a bathroom vanity. Lack of response from their customer service and being able to resolve the issue is disgrace.
This would have never happened if purchased from AMAZON.

I ordered an item and was very excited about it, it was just what I had been looking for. After ordering it confirmed my order went through and I was given my order/confirmation number with a delivery date of June 18th thru June 22nd. The screen then said I would receive an email when my ordered shipped. Well, June 22nd has come and gone. I've kept checking my order status and it continues to show ready to ship. It has never left a warehouse! I've clicked on the contact us option three times and asked for information/update on shipping since this was to be a fathers day gift and i ordered it 3 weeks in advance and it was in stock and to this day i still have not even been given the courtesy of a response email back. This is poor business, poor customer service, and since this is my first dealing with Houzz I'm about to think Scam site. I am contacting my credit card company and customer service.
I am still awaiting instruction on how to resolve my damaged delivery item. I promptly reported (report was acknowledged) then provided requested pictures. 4 days later I have not heard a response.
