House of Beauty is a haven of all things beauty and wellbeing in Barnsley. I had my nails done by the apprentice Ameleigha and the results are amazing. I have psoriasis which affects my nails, so I am self conscious about them. But the results are fantastic and I am going to get booked in for my next treatment very soon. I highly recommend going there. The staff are wonderful.
This "company" is a joke. Customer service line goes to someone's home phone. It's been A MONTH, and I haven't received my entire order. I've received 3 items and one of them was open and janky! It looked like their products came from the expiring soon, sale bin at Marshalls. They don't send product that says "in stock", And they won't give you a refund either. Go to Cosmetic World! I got all of my products brand new, in a few days time.
I reordered a wig from House of Beauty World in January of 2020. The texture was not the same as the previous one, so I returned it for an in house credit. I've reached out to them via phone, email and Facebook to no resolution. Each time I was told to be patient, someone would get back with me. I am STILL WAITING.
I even ordered another wig and contacted them about my in house credit. Instead of a credit, they billed my credit card. At this point, I want a REFUND.
I will also be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.
Tip for consumers:
Buy at your own risk. Customer service is pretty much non existent. Offers in house credit on returns but you can't reach them to use it. That makes it TOTALLY WORTHLESS.

I ordered 3 Sebastian cellophanes about a year ago. After many weeks, I received only 2. Never got the 3rd one as promised. I called and sent emails, never got an answer since. They might run out of business!
I've bulk purchased from houseofbeauttworld many years. Their customer service has plummeted severely. For the first time, ever, I need to return an unused item and their policy is email them for a return authorization number (RAN). I ordered 36 oz of biosilk shampoo and 36 oz conditioner. The order came as three 12 oz bottles of each. Only ONE 12 oz shampoo and ONE 12 oz conditioner was tried. It took my hair out. The other 4 bottles can be returned. Never opened. Back to their return policy: There's a 21 day window, but they purposefully ignore my emails, draining the time window. I'm having to send all attempted correspondence to my bank for a refund. I forewarned that i would if i can't get an RAN and exchange product. Whomever finally responded flat out DO NOT care. No RAN sent. Also the free shipping within the U.S. for large orders is a lie. They charge, they are slow at filling orders and There's no customer service to call or that will EVER answer nor respond. Save yourself the trouble and find another supplier. I'm having to.
Tip for consumers:
On the Olive Creme, KT Supplygive 10%-15% discount when you purchase large quantities. So while HOBW went up to about $5 a bottle, it's $3.70 for quantities of 12 or more and $3.91 for 6 or more!!!

I want to say, right after I posted this the company reached out to me almost immediately. For that, I applaud them and thank them... but this still doesn't fix their issue of no one staffing the customer service desk. If no one is working customer service, who is keeping an eye on these complaints and replying to them within hours of being posted?
They called me to ask what I would like to do, a refund or to get my order. I chose a refund and pointed out that this was pretty crazy for an online company to have this much trouble with customer service.
If you are going to break up the shipment, communicate that. If there isn't enough stock, communicate that. If you made a mistake and only shipped one item out of a 6 item order, communicate with the customer.
They stood by their statement that they have hardly no one to work customer service and that the warehouse made a mistake.
"Hey, I totally understand. Stuff happens. But when I write you a polite email, call you, fill out your form, and still can't reach someone, that's a problem."
They advised that the refund will be delayed because of the high volume of them going on right now... Again, I said no worries on the time frame. I was just happy to have someone doing something about it.
I am still not sure if I will use them in the future. Perhaps when this pandemic stuff calms down I will give them another chance...
I will reiterate though:
In a pandemic, where people are NEEDING jobs that can be done from home, I feel like you have little to no excuse to not have several people available to answer emails/forms/calls. This is a time where there should be a surplus of customer service for your company.:(
I hope the staffing woes are fixed soon. I would like to purchase from this company in the future.
Initially, they sent an email with confirmation of my order stating that delivery may be delayed due to the National pandemic, understandable. I placed my order on May 3rd. On May 20th the tracking was updated stating that the order was ready for shipment. I received one item out of a 6 item order. I thought perhaps it would come in multiple shipments, so I patiently waited. On June 3rd I sent an email asking for an update on if my order was split into two shipments or what was going on with it. I got no response so I looked through their website for their support form. On June 8th I sent them a request to asking for an update on my order, if it was delayed, if we were waiting for more supplies, still no response. I got a survey to review my experience with them on the 12th, I filled it out and said that I was very displeased with what was going on. It took me to another form to fill out to get them to respond to me, it was the same one that I had filled out a few days before. I filled it out and told them that this has been going on for over a month and I wanted an answer as to where the rest of my $60 order was and to please contact me as soon as possible. Their phone number rings directly to a message machine that does not record customer responses, it's just a open-ended message stating that their office is closed. I feel very frustrated that my emails have fallen on deaf ears, it's like they took my money and only gave me part of my order and now they don't want to talk to me.
Some items I ordered never arrived. That turned out to be just my tough luck. They would not negotiate a replacement, issue a refund, nothing.

I received my item. The hair color on the internet was misleading so I wanted to exchange it, yet they didn't have anything reddish. I wanted send back for a refund, but they won't accept their merchandise back. In the box, unused and unopened merchandise. Beware! If you got wrong color based on the misleading picture, it is yours forever and money is wasted.
I ordered items from this company. Most of the items were delivered except for three items in which they told me by note that the missing items will be shipped later. It also stated that it has to come from another warehouse. It has been since early May when I first received the initial items. It is now late June and I have not heard from or seen any missed items from this company. They will not contact you at all. When you call them, it either hangs up or automatic voice telling you they are closed and it's business hours. What a joke of a business. Order#*******
I made a large order with this company months ago only received one item from the items that I ordered have been trying to get in contact with them use the tracking number and found out my order was delivered on July 18,2020 to somebody in Connecticut I live in New Mexico. Ive been trying to get in hold of them for weeks to get this matter fixed I've left numerous messages there's never been anybody live you can speak to and it says their business hours are from 9 AM to 7 PM I have also sent numerous emails and they say they will return in answer to me within 24 hours which is an automated message and the last time I sent one was last Monday here it is a week later I still haven't heard anything but nobody picks up I do not recommend. UPDATE: After placing this review they Promptly sent me a private message and wanted to rectify the situation. They were very kind and I received my shipment approximately three days after we spoke they made everything right.
I ordered some hair products and when my email order confirmation came through I had been charged more in shipping than when I placed the order and was advised of a delay. I emailed within 24 hours to cancel and received no response. Two email chasers later I was told my order was ready for shipping and could not be cancelled which seems unreasonable considering I requested the cancellation within 24 hours of placing the order and it hadn't even been shipped out yet. They have been really slow in responding to emails and to date I have only had one response. I will not be placing orders with House of Beauty ever again. Really disappointed.

I ordered 2 boxes of Clairol Soy4Plex Cream 12G **************. Upon opening one box, I found the tube to be half used and sold to me as new. What a waste of money! I had to throw out the box. Wish I checked both boxes when the first arrived.

The customer service sucks. I made an order and was questioning why I havent received any email regarding tracking or when it was shipped 3 days after I ordered. Who ever I spoke to from customer service was rude and disrespectful leading me to get out of character and curse her out. I have never dealt with such unethical and poor customer service. The worst part is that in order for u to talk to the manager u have to be put on a waiting list that is 2 months long. I dont know what kind of games this company think they can play with their customers but I am not the one to be played with. I shouldnt have to call for updates on my order. It should automatically be emailed to the customer.
I'm so disappointed with this company. I've ordered from them before and had no issues, but when it comes to doing returns and exchanges, this is where they have the worst service I've ever encountered. The way they handle returns is VERY extra - they had me email photos of a wig I no longer wanted and never wore and they had to send me a return authorization number, which had to be used within 10 days of receiving the number. With a busy lifestyle, this was just very impractical and inconsiderate, especially since they're taking their sweet time to get me my exchange. I've called 3 different numbers associated with the company, including the one they emailed me directly to do the exchange, and there is never anyone working! What kind of business is this? I will never order from them again
Took long to receive this 2 hair treatments they said it was because of the Pandemia. Send 3 emails and in the last one the said the account will be revise. I received both products expired. I can handle the expiration dates. My mistake was that I didn't read the horrible reviews of other customersI didn't check the intervention of BBB with them and I didn't check in Amazon. Amazon have them. Next time Amazon will be my choice.

I love that they have the broad selection of Adore colors. In my first order two items were missing.
I sent an email a couple days later and was requested that I send them a picture of the invoice and the box. I threw them away already.
Then I received an email from them that the remaining items were back ordered and would arrive at the warehouse the next day and would ship from there.
When I enquired again, they sent me the tracking number of the first box.
I responded that is the original shipment that is missing items and was delivered before they sent me an email that said they would ship the remaining products the next day.
They responded to that email by asking for a picture of the box and invoice again.
My response now, is threatening to dispute the charges unless I get a refund for the missing products in $48 hours.
Never received product, wife been waiting over a month she got number from her bank called the person they called back was rude but said would refund the money that they were closed.

I was supposed to get a refund "3-5 business days" but it's been almost two weeks since my order got here and I checked with amazon and my bank account I dont see any refund. You cant lie to people and keep the money.
