“HotelsPro (Metglobal) is bancrupt! Resevations not granted in hotels!”

I worked with this company for many years as a travel agent. Due to the pandemic, no bookings were made in 2020. But in 2021, booked a hotel in Cancun and paid $ 2090 at Hotelspro. When the customer arrived at the hotel, their booking was not found. I urgently tried to call the emergency line - the line is out of service. I have tried to call any number found on the voucher, on the HOTELSPRO website and in our previous emails. ALL telephone lines are out of service. So I had to pay $ 3,500 for a new booking with another partner. Later I found a personal contact of a person who previously worked at HotelsPro, and he gave the contacts of another person who only replied by email. From this person I received information that the work of the whole company was stopped. There are no employees in the office. And, note, as an exception, my USD 2090 will be credited to me as a deposit at HotelsPro! As an exception? What kind of deposit can we talk about in a company that is bankrupt? It looks like the company is currently scamming to raise as much money as possible for non-existent bookings.

hotelspro.com and their owners Metglobal are scammers! They have been taking advantage of travelers who had trips planned before COVID hit. The actual hotels are doing full refunds at no charge to these companies owned by metglobal and Metglobal and hotelspro.com are refusing to give people their money back.
THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK EVEN IF THE ACTUAL HOTEL DID! THEY ARE SCUM BAG LIARS. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!

I have booked with them for many years with no problem. I booked a hotel in April for my client to travel in June which was paid in full. They contacted 10 days before saying the booking was canceled because the supplier said they could not honor the booking. I called the hotel and they have no record of any booking. I am trying to get a refund but no response to any emails. I tried to call and I am put on hold and no one ever answers. I had to find another hotel for my client that was more expensive and not as nice. My client is filing a complaint with his credit card company and hopefully, he can get his money back. It does not look like I will be able to collect from them. If not I will have to reimburse my client.

We worked with them for a year. Due to pandemic hotels we cancelled and we had money with them. All the time they were saying that their office is closed due to lock down and cannot process any refund. Now they have changed their name and scamming companies again.

I deposited my money as Agent, More than one year now I'm asking to withdraw back my money but they are not doing that and no one now is responding to my emails. Please dont deposit your money.

Made a reservation at a hotel and paid in full with hotelspro. Received a confirmation number of room type and rate paid with their system conf number. Amex was instantly charged in full
I called the hotel 24 hours later to verify and here was no record at hotel. This was booked 7 days in advance of travel.
I called Hotelspro each day for next 3 days I was treated unprofessionally as they told me I have to wait until the I am notified of the number.
I won't travel without this important information as I have been burned in the past.
I spoke to a manager 3 days later and he was mean and spoke to me like I was an idiot. I also waited 17 minutes for them to answer.
In this day and age any professional organization that books rooms gets confirmations instantly or shortly thereafter.
I reached out to the Managing director in linked in and by his email- NO replpy-
4 days later I get an email from them with a confirmation number that was not me and not for the correct date.
I am done with them- I fixed the issue myself with the hotel.
I suggest agents stay away from them- no one needs this headache.
I don't trust them and I will never use them again.
