Initially I was worried/annoyed—What's annoying is you see your order sit there, not dispatched. I think they basically don't have stock; they just make to order. But after sending an email & getting a form reply that didn't make sense, I resent with a further question and got a real answer. They then explained how long it would take roughly and by which courier I could expect it. I waited. It came around the time they suggested, and was even better made than I'd hoped. This isn't cheap, falling-apart stuff. It's properly cut and finished, true to size and fit; proper hemming and length. The embroidery is finer and nicer than expected. Well done! Very happy with it. So much that I ordered a second!

DON'T PURCHASE! It never looks like the picture. Asked to return & they said it's too expensive to return to China. No refund. & they were offering me a 25% discount on the next thing I purchased. So I'm pretty much stuck with the dress that doesn't fit and looks like a child made it. Unhappy!

Cheap material and sizes are ridiculously small. They don't state on their return policy that you have to pay your own shipping to China! They offer you a coupon and send you an email stating that's it's not worth the return. I will be calling my credit card company as this is fraudulent and they won't grant me a return nor refund.

Tip for consumers:
You have to pay your own shipping to return the product. Their products are cheap and thin. So ridiculous! Save your money!

They never answer your question they just keep emailing. We’re sorry that you’re unhappy. Will give you 25% off.

There are some beautiful garments on this website but buyers please be careful. I ordered a dress and the sizing was bigger than the measurements posted on their sizing chart. They actually pulled the product from their line to work resizing and then reposted. I had to return the dress for a smaller size and holy clothing refused to waive return shipping, even though it was their error. I tried to reason with them but they do not care.

I will never buy on your website again.

Waiting 3 month for that...

There are some defects in the fiber on the dress.
Then on the embroideries, there are defects too and the color do not correspond to the photo on your website (It's champagne on your photo but we received cooper embroideries)
It's like buying on wish or ali express, i'm really desapointed

To finish, the dress have many damages and we have to pay for return for me it's like a scam.

Just. Awful. And the amount of :) faces in their customer service responses now seem more condescending more than anything.
I placed an order from HolyClothing almost 4 months ago. They inform you 4-8 weeks of processing before shipping- great! I ordered extra early so I could have my pieces for a work event. Hundreds of dollars worth of their product.
4 weeks later. No updates.
8 weeks later. No updates.
I email them asking about my order, and a rep says "orders take an average of 33 days! They're well worth the wait!" It had already been 8 weeks! 56 DAYS!
I still have time, so I wait.
My job literally comes and goes and I had to scramble to get together a new set in time from somewhere else.
It has now been 16 weeks. I emailed them again, a bit upset. They give me no update on where in processing my order is- so now I'm assuming they never started it. The response, instead: "Orders for the items you purchased take 10-12 weeks. Well worth it!" It has been 4 MONTHS. And suddenly my items take longer to make?
I am so disappointed at this point. I was so excited for their pieces but it just seems like a scam now. I requested a refund because I have received *nothing* from them, and of course they denied me and tried to placate me with a $10 gift card after spending HUNDREDS on this order. (Like what the h*ll)
Thankfully my bank is not putting up with it so I am being refunded anyways!
So- buyer beware! They will take your money and expect you to just be okay with never receiving the products you paid for!

TL; DR: I placed an order 4 mo ago worth hundreds of $$ and they have no intention of fulfilling my order and refuse to give me my money back.

Don’t. Go somewhere else.

I placed an order and considered the 6-8 week lead time. After 14 weeks the company was unable to provide to an update on my order, after requesting several updates I was forced to reach out to my bank and declare the charge fraudulent.

The company refused to provide me with proof of purchase, as well as an order number.

I was truly disappointed about I needed the outfits for a job, which I sadly lost due to the company not fulfilling my order.

Id rather not even have 1 star. The delay in shipping has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. The item is for a wedding and ordered 2 months ago. I reached out and was respond to quickly, but nothing was changed. Now it won't be shipped till a week after the wedding. We'll beyond the already ridiculous wait. I won't be coming back.

This shop is more of a scam than anything. Placed my order 4 months ago with a 4-6 week lead time. Reached out after 6 weeks and got so many :) in the email it was ridiculous and they told me nothing about my order. Reached out again a few weeks later and got the same EXACT response copy/pasted. This continued for another 2 months of the same responses and 'we'll do our very best to ship it by the end of next week.' I tried on multiple occasions to actually have a conversation about MY order but never got anything other than robot responses. Finally canceled my order after 4 months of nothing. Buyer beware, you'll never get anything you ordered.

I have been waiting for my order for over 6 months now. It finally shipped and has taken over 2 weeks for it to even make it to the states, now it's stuck in customs with no idea when it's going to make it to me. They refused to cancel my order after asking multiple times, I've reported them to the FTC and the better business bureau, and will be filling a chargeback if they don't refund me my shipping. Passive aggressive customer service to boot, don't order from this company.

I had my bridesmaids order a dress from Holy Clothing. I was excited because the designs were so cute and the ethics seemed on point. Its been two months and still the only way to get updates from them is to message them on social, we are not getting any kind of notification via email to explain the delay. When I email them I get the same copy and paste response that cites a "dye" issue. If this is the case, why has it happened more than once for the same order? I wish the company would send the defective dress along just to have something to wear, I'm a week from the wedding and I still can't expect the dress to arrive as it hasn't shipped.

Tip for consumers:
Its really heart breaking that customer service seems to be automated. I normally have a lot of empathy for folks on the other end of the line- I have worked CS before and its not fun. But when all of the responses are straight up copy-paste, and negative reviews mysteriously disappear on your socials I get worried that I'm looking at a scam. It's not a good look.

I ordered two items. Once was cotton, one was rayon. Both of them were awful.

The Brigid tunic was made out of cotton so thin you could see through it - even if you added one of the overdresses, it would be unwearable unless you wore something underneath.

I ordered the petticoat (was going to be used as a skirt under a tunic) and it was made out of rough fabric, and again so thin you could see through it.

It's been a long time since I ordered, but the last time the quality was amazing. This time? Returned them right away. At MY expense - which they don't say ANYWHERE.

Tip for consumers:
Returns are paid for by you, and they don't answer emails.

I went to purchase a skirt for my stepdaughter for Christmas. I purchased in mid November not realizing that it was to take 4-6 weeks to make. That part of fine. Well after 6 weeks I messaged them to see what's up with my order. I was told it was in the Dying process and should ship any day! 3 1/2 weeks later I emailed again to get the same answer. Told them to cancel my order seeing I did not get my order in a timing manner. I never heard back from them so I had to call my credit card company to dispute the charges. This company has no phone number to contact them. They are TERRIBLE I will be facebooking and anywhere else I can to make sure people know that this company is GARBAGE! I would give a 0 star if that was possible. Horrible customer service

Lies and Deceit, these cheats steal your money and lead you on a never ending wait for product that will never arrive. They placate you with promises of delivery that increase the delivery time every time.

I placed my order on March 14th, it is now July 21st and still nothing, I have reached out to the company 3 times and all 3 times I was told a different delivery date.

"Happy to help :) I've checked and your Make Me One order HC******* is scheduled to ship within 4-8 weeks of ordering, via Priority Courier (delivered in about 5 days).

Kindly note, we make these by hand, as one offs, so they take a little longer. That said, I'm going ahead and asking our production team to expedite as much as possible :) Thanks for being part of the HolyClothing family"

So I've here of them thought look great. But never had money finally I bought one I was so excited for this. I bought a dress for my graduation celebration witch is coming up in September (I bought in May). I waited the 6-8 week before ask. I only sent out a email once a month to ask about status of the dress. Nothing but same response "Happy to help :) I've checked and your Make Me One order HC******* is scheduled to ship within 6-8 weeks of ordering, via Priority Courier (delivered in about 5 days). I ordered the Tauriel dress about a month after it came out, in a limited edition color in March 2022. The initial quote was for 4-8 weeks turn around. After some time, I enquired about my order and was told 10-12 weeks due to the embroidery work. After 14 weeks, I checked in again and was told 1-2 weeks. Checked again, was again told an additional 1-2 weeks. I've been told this same crappy line for 5 months now. This dress was meant to be for my wedding in October, and I ordered 7 months ahead of time to prepare for it, but now with less than 2 months till the date, I have to go shop for a NEW dress. They couldn't even tell me if I would have my dress within the next MONTH. I have to go hope I find some dress that fits the bill 100% off the rack. OR now I have to go make something that WILL work along with everything else I have to do to prepare for this.

I did get a refund on it this morning so I can at least pitch that money towards whatever dress I find. Thanks for nothing but the runaround HolyClothing. Y'all need to take Tauriel off site until you get through your 6 month backlog instead of false promises to complete the project in 10-12 weeks.

On a positive note, the customer service reps do reply within 1-2 business days.

Tip for consumers:
Don't plan on actually using the item for an event. It better be just because you like it so much.

Actually no stars but thats not an option

I placed an order over 11 weeks ago & was told it would take 5-6 weeks. The company has not once reached out to me to let me know what's going on. Inquires I have made have been answered by what seems like automated responses. The first 2 inquiries were answered with word for word responses, 2 weeks apart, telling me it was in the dying process. The first time was 7 weeks ago. I have now asked to cancel my order & to refund me. I have not found a working phone number to speak to anyone. This was the first & now last time I've ordered from them. One last thing... after my second inquiry they sent me a coupon for a future order like thats supposed make up for their failure in all this.

I placed my order July 10 2022 for my daughter. She wanted to go to a renaissance festival with a friend in costume in October. Red flag #1 my CC was charged full price July 10. By week 8-no product. Lots of emails siting COVID as excuse. Red Flad #2-no contact phone #, just email.
1 item finally arrived October 17... no word on the other half of outfit. Packaging states shipped from India! So much for this being a CA company!
Still no word on second item Oct 24. I attempted to push by stating I would have CC dispute the purchase. No luck. Probably will not have any b/c I did receive part of my order.
Lack of good disclosures = plenty of suckerers like me! Buyers be warned.

Not made in the US. There is no phone number to speak with a person.

Disappointed greatly with their customer service. I bought one of their full length long lace up overdresses and discovered that it was too small so reached out to exchange it but was told I could not because it was a sale price. No exchange or refund. So I completely wasted my money on this. I really don't understand how they can justify this policy and so I expressed my views on it... They didn't even bother to reply. I don't care how nice their products are, I will not do business with them again when they don't care about their customers.

I've been ordering Holyclothing for years now. I own several of their dresses and tops, which are part of my everyday wardrobe. I am aware that it takes a few weeks to get your order.

I am now on week 26 without my most recent order arriving and customer service will no longer reply to me.

I made an order for the Taurel dress, which is their most prominently advertised dress. At time of writing this review they are still releasing limited edition colours of it and ads still surface on facebok / tiktok for the dress. Several friends of mine also ordered the dress, excited for its design. I had purchased it for my birthday trip in June. It is now nearly August and I have no dress. Every time I email their customer service they move the shipping date. I have been told SEVEN TIMES now that my order will ship 'in one to two weeks.' The shipping estimate started as 4-6 weeks, then they told me it was closer to 12-14, and now the estimate is THIRTY WEEKS. More than HALF a year. And they are STILL releasing new colours of the same dress they claim they cannot make in under seven and a half months.

My entire local community has sworn off holyclothing. Every one of them is waiting just as long for their orders. They've permanently lost a ton of customers who spent thousands with them yearly.

I purchased a dress as a Christmas present early in November. The site did not say anything about the item being "made-to-order," all it said was 5-7 business days in shipping. Given the supply chain shortages I thought I would definitely get the item for Christmas. Come mid- December I wrote to ask about my item and then was told the item is "made-to-order," and it takes 4-6 weeks before it would ship. It is now December 30... my item apparently shipped on December 24... it is currently in Dubai, so I sincerely doubt it will get here before the person I bought this for leaves in the new year. I have not been offered anything after two emails, and if I hadn't written I would have received no updates. To say I'm royally pissed is an understatement. I had bought from Holy Clothing in the past, never again. (Id show images of my product but I haven't received it)

I ordered from this company a few years ago and I was so happy with the product and service. I have no idea what has changed but the customer service is TERRIBLE!

My first order was a special color offer. It's been over two months and it's not even shipped yet! Then I put in a second order 4 weeks ago. I didn't hear anything so I wrote them and they said the dyeing process is delayed. I asked for an eta and they said it takes 4 to 6 weeks which is fine. But it's been 4 weeks for my second order and I can't even get a straight answer about my first order.

She said she spoke to production about my order so why can't she give me an eta when it will be shipped? I love their clothes but after this I won't be buying from them again. For the money I paid for these clothes I should be able to get a truthful answer.

So if you plan on waiting 3 months for your dress then I would recommend, otherwise HolyClothing is now a hard pass for me.

Tip for consumers:
If you need your clothing in a certain time frame dont use this company. They basically send a form letter and that's their idea of customer service.

I tried tor return some items and we kept going back and forth for 10 emails on the details of the items. They are obviously do not know English well since one of their emails said, "Difference items made by difference batches may cause difference.

The size is just for reference, there maybe exist a measurement error of 2-3cm.

Would you mind reselling or presenting this item to person who need and accept a discount to reorder the item with a fit size, no bother to return?" What in the world does that mean?

I am out a lot of money and I am stuck with poorly made, and ill-fitting clothes.

Don't buy here! The clothes are shipped from Inida, New Delhi, therefore you have to pay 43,00 at deliveriy next to the price of your product. They do not mention this in their order. When you complain about it, holyclothing is going to threat with all kinds of measures that are costing you even more money. Customer service: zero!
