This site changed my life and I wish that I had found it years ago when I first had my babies (who are now 7 and 4) but I wouldn't change the journey that we've been on and I'm just so grateful to have found it now. In the six months since I discovered the site, I've landed three of my four clients and while each of them very different, they are all legitimate and great to work with. I also have told many of my friends about the site, it's a game changer. Thank you for creating this amazing resource for moms and others looking for legitimate remote work.
I signed up for Hire My Mom after reading the reviews on this site. I was disappointed to discover a very limited amount of job listings. If the good reviews pique your curiosity, I would suggest going with the lowest package which includes a 3-day free trial (hopefully, you do not get charged, please read the fine print). You can check out the listings for yourself before you purchase the subscription. On a couple of positive notes, canceling my subscription was very easy. Most subscription sites make it very difficult to cancel your subscription; this site was simple and straightforward. Also, I had a great experience with customer service; they offered a full refund and the owner seemed genuinely interested in helping job seekers find jobs in their particular niche. It just was not a good fit for me.
I chose to post an job listing with this company because as someone who once was a stay-at-home mom I loved the idea of being able to hire a mom. I own a small mental health clinical practice and was in need of an assistant who could work part-time and from home so I thought I might try to post on Hire My Mom. Not only does the company charge a rather large fee just to post a job an ad (while reputable sites such as indeed.com allow free ad job postings), but, after I crafted my ad to post, I received an email saying they would not post my job unless I created a lnked-in page and linked to them through my linked-in profile (i. E. free promotion). As a psychologist I do not have a Linked-in page. (I don't want patients seeking contact info for other patients.) However, t even if I did have a Linked-in page I do not think I would link to them as the tactic struck me as coercive. I wound up asking the company to take down my listing. What a shame. All I wanted to do was help a stay-at-home mom by giving them a resume building experience while, it seems, all the company really wants is profit.
Couldn't be worse. Spoke with Woman once, spent a full weekend prepareding video and email instructions. She wanted to be paid up front, and I never heard from her again. Called to complain and no help. HATE THIS GROUP. Do not use them. 65$ an hour and did zero work, stole all my money and laughed about it.
Andrew. I am so sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with one of the Mom Professionals on our site. We make every effort to only allow professionals with integrity and professionalism to post and find jobs on HireMyMom.com. It is disappointing that our website gets a poor review without us even being made aware of the situation or trying to help rectify it. We take complaints very seriously and wish you had contacted us to let us know about this. Please do email me at lesley@hiremymom.com so that we can take action and hopefully prevent this from happening again. Once again, our sincere apologies and we hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Monique. I just noticed my response did not populate here back in September when I originally responded so I am responding again. We do not require a LinkedIn connection but it is one of the ways we verify the person posting the job is actually that person. Unfortunately we've had scammers pose as someone to post a job as a way to scam unsuspecting users. We do our best to prevent that from happening by verifying in a variety of ways and LinkedIn is just one of those. If someone prefers not to connect or does not have LinkedIn, we do have other ways to verify them before approving the posting. We are a niche website and tailor to small businesses and moms (women) and do not have the mega users or budget of the mega job sites. We hope that you have found a site that works well for your needs. If we can be of help in the future, please don't hesitate to reach out!
Sincerely,
Lesley
