I've been on here for less than a year. In spite of running into a few $#*!s, I have met a lot of genuinely nice people from all across the globe. Some I have become very close with. They made me feel welcome from the beginning and brought me up to speed on how things work. The chat room is a little hit or miss, but that's ok. There are a few threads that I follow. We exchange thoughts, ideas, local customs and we share a lot of laughs.
I think the mods do as good of a job as can be expected controling spam and trouble makers. I feel free to present my opinions without the fear of sensorship like you find on Facebook. Drama exists here, just like any social media site, but I think it's minimal.
Hell, even my dog is famous on here! Hahaha!

I use to post a lot on Hip Forums. Still do a bit. I came back not to long ago to a crowd much different than before. I wasnt back for a week or so when I got banned. I didnt remember what Id said but I thought maybe this was a mistake. I managed to get the help of one the moderator to get me back in. Wasnt soon after that. Felt like I was being stalked. And when Id comment back to him he/she would report me as harassing. Ive never harassed anyone. It was this person harassing me. I guess because they gave some money to have feature there its ok. Theys a troll. I use to enjoy Hipforms. Im not perfect, but I dont chase posters around the site stalking them. How they get away with it? Ever was like that before. Id tell a moderator but I dont want banning me again. Because now I dont trust them either I feel like I cant even post there under any name. Im gong to save 50$ and then but dont have much may I can have th e feature to ignore that person egnland that keeps chasing me around. I really thougt my weed was getting me parinaod but its true and them poof my post vanished again just as I was making this thanks girls for showing me this page i think we all should make a rewveiw

Another social media pit, full of an in-crowd who jumps newbies. A lot of what seem to be the usual pack of either Russian or USA white-right disruptors who pounce on anyone opposed to racism or Trump. The façade of "hippies" is not reflected in the pool of posters, who are nearly all too young to have been hippies, and engaged in all the usual social-media pathologies.

The premise of this forum is fake, and it is being run by misfits. I in fact am notifying the appropriate Congressional offices who are investigating white-right and Russki presence on social media.

I found this forum years ago and thought it a bit of fun, especially when single. But it wasn't long until I realised that free speech didn't come free.

You CANNOT delete a thread you've created. Once a thread exists, it exists forever. And, more worryingly, you CANNOT delete your account. Once they have you and your data, you're in for LIFE. Do NOT sign up.

The whole forum is full of trolls who ultimately just make you feel terrible about yourself. But because it's "free speech" the trolls are not reprimanded and much of the forum is a cesspit of human diatribe. You're better off making an anon Twitter account, frankly.

Owner puts up fake reviews. Check out the ones below. They all read like the work of a failed Marketing Studies student. Not reviews, they are adverts of course! The negative reviews are accurate. I can't comment on any recent suicide, but there have been lots of suicidal users there over the years. Its a den of mental defectives, drug addicts and dealers, alcoholics, trailer trash hillbillies, racial supremacists, sexual perverts, trannies and child groomers ie pedophiles. The lame $#*! phrase they use is "rainbow family". Normal people just use the word "weirdos". I know people who checked by near eniough 20 years or so (God knows why). The biggest wackos tend to be the owners and the so called "super mods", who'll basically let anything in... until it exposes them! Example, one of many, Soaring Eagle a pedo who promised to make kids into pop stars. 70% of the forum regulars said he should be banned. Owners response? Bans 70% of the regulars Lame $#*! site never really recovered from that. Smallish number of people there who are ok, but tend to leave quite soon. But the culture of the place is real creepy. Free speech? LMAO! Anyone who even asks why someone is banned gets automatically banned. The most noticeable feature of the place is how many people there seem to be plagued with mental and physical illlness. Just ask the right regulars by pm or check the site.

Key members of the forums bullied this poor guy until he killed himself, then to avoid any responsibility for facilitating this bullying they simply cleaned the site of everything he posted and pretended that it never happened.

There is still a pedophile who is a key member.

Beachbum86 and EloiseAtThePlaza had been stalking this guy in real life and then used the forum to bully him.

The site should be shut down and it's owners out in prison!

Hipforums is well know as d-bag land. The pedo scandal was well known as are the others. Jo J, Bill B, FB and others are bang on the moneys. It used to be really popular even if users just kinda tolerated pyscho owner Skipper. But he got even further up his own $#*! and now the place is a slow trickle. Of diarrhea! Message to tha kiddies - stay away! Especially from someone called Soaring Eagles.

If you want to scream into an echo chamber, this place isn't for you. If you don't want people challenging your small-mindedness, this place isn't for you. If you think free speech applies to you, and to you alone, this place is not for you.

If you're a logical, rational, adult with something to contribute, you are welcome. It's like interacting with people in any situation: if you're a jerk you will be found out and ostricized. If you're cool, everyone else will be too. Thanks people complaining about this site broke the rules and then felt mistreated when they were held accountable for that.

It's incomprehensible that people find enough time to write indecencies about a website that IS the last free speech forum on earth. I've been a consistent member since the late 90's when the forum was just getting started.

Today, as a moderator of that forum, I can attest that NO paedophilia or "illegal" activity happens. In fact, while we DO allow conversation to occur without interference (unless that conversation breaks laws), we are judicious about removing content that is unsuitable for minors.

Several reviews we've found on SJ are from "temporary" members who like to use our forum for link building. They are baseless, without merit and lack any formal evidence.

... the actual site owner has lost interest and upper management has zero clue about day to day discussions about how the site has become candy-assed... btw ''candy-assed'' is the term that got me banned and my 1000 family and life photo collection stored on the site was deleted... some photos of my dead father that I don't have copies of because of a house fire... unfortunately even if they restore me I wouldn't go back except to copy my photos...

Openly allowed a paedophile to operate as a key member (promised little girls music careers). Owner banned about 4 DOZEN of the main users who objected to this. Racist abuse allowed if you are a mod. Current moderators are extreme feminist SJWs who ban anyone who disagrees with their politics/LGBT miltancy. Private messages are spied on. If this place allows "free speech" then I am a tin opener! Yes paedophilia and the promotion of suicide are allowed. The promotion of hard drugs like heroin is allowed. It also allows a Nazi lesbian (yeah you read right!) to promote Nazism and holocaust denial. Add in some cool people (who unsurprisingly usually give up sooner rather than later) and a variety of drug addicts, perverts, scammers, nutjobs and weirdos and thats the creepy world of Hipforums.
