I had been wanting a simple update to my expungement process which the contract began 1/2019. By 7/2019 the court record was still not requested after I was told it would be and had been. Several months went by where Nothing was done at all about it, in which a Supervisor Melanie Dahl replied 4/2019 that the employees involved as she said in taking "no action" were no longer employed there. She stated that I should have been getting updates all along. One particular person threatened me after I contacted the BBB only to request contact from a Supervisor 6/2019. There had clearly been another 2 month sending request delay until June I was then told it was requested 6/2019 but now Lost. I then requested a Supervisor a few times without a response after being told one time, only by my asking that after it was another several month delay that the record request was now lost. I did not even know for some time after being harassed about the BBB case that I was going to get any of my money back. It was not possible to trust the business as the first issue of even a Supervisor confirming that no action was taken for several months but then to have a Second major few month delay with no updates provided etc. was ridiculous. My previous review was removed because it mentioned Mr. Johnson's full name. He was the only person to call me after his disturbing message to me about the BBB complaint. Due to his tone as he sounded disturbed and very upset but out of control, I did have no choice but to terminate the call July 3,2019. A previous review response stated I hung up on several people. I can assure that I would have not done so because I would not have known about my $595. Also many employees were not specific to my case. It seemed after it was realized a Second delay of no request from April to June prior to it Lost, they did not want a Supervisor to be aware. Cook Cty or myself has nothing to do with the almost 6 month delay in even the request of the record. It is highly unusual for them to lose it June 2019, after it not being requested from January to June. It is odd, that it seems certain the court lost it but not the post office. The actual expungement can take a while in Cook Cty. But the info of what to even expunge was not even obtained for close to 6 months, for no apparent reason. Possible staffing issues at the time, etc. I did communicate via my account with Supervisor Melanie Dahl after the first several month delay(see photo) and have provided the email from her about the employees involved no longer working there etc. The BBB complaint was initiating contact with a Supervisor 6/2019 since I was not getting a response through my account at all by June. I assure you that I would want to know about my case and would have wished to have been contacted about it. I am sorry that no steps at all even began in gathering the info on my very small case. Possibly it was set aside and forgotten by mistake. Close to 6 months is just a very long time to not even have the court record attempted to even be requested from Cook Cty. Again, it would have been appreciated if a Supervisor would have reached out to me but I guess since it was a second no action for several months, what would they have said? I know that the BBB request to communicate about that and assist was very upsetting as Mr. Johnson's unstable and unprofessional behavior indicated. I was not made aware of what you were doing with my $595 in the disturbing communication from him. I am glad after what transpired especially with him but everything thus far, I was refunded my $595. It would especially make sense to myself and people reading this that if I or Cook Cty, played a role in the non-productivity etc. and work had even started at all, a portion of the $595 would have been no refunded. Clearly your business does realize that per the contract, reasonable behavior, and communication was not provided to me from the beginning and was even worse by July 2019. Responses from this business to reviews are typically worded in a harassing manner. I have seen other reviews of a similar nature. Although a person can expunge a minor record of something on their own, of course a person would not wish to have a such a ridiculous and harassing experience. It appears maybe the business is not stable as there are some positive reviews but then such negative. It did seem on my account there was always a change in the name of the paralegal. This alone would be confusing to the business and hard to track what is not happening. I did appreciate the message provided from Ms. Dahl explaining herself the employees involved were fired but by June, and the record was still no requested and updates were not provided, it even appeared she was no longer there and there was not a Supervisor at all. I sincerely hope the business does become more stable, then people would not have such a ridiculous experience and would get something in the slightest for their money. Take Care.

Such obvious high employee turnover here. I signed up January 2019 for expungement of a very simple case. I am first told that my Illinois State Police report was requested. This seemed fine but then later I find out this report type only shows a persons convictions. Mine came back with no information because convictions can not be expunged lol and I have no convictions. Nothing heard after this, as I check back in April, someone new of course as there were repeatedly different "case managers" claiming to be working on my case, emails me only after I ask, that typically they request court records next. It is then a struggle to find out "when" they will be doing this. I then get a message after several inquiries form a Melanie Dahl Supervising Paralegal. She says that the employees involved as she said in "taking no action on my case for 2 months are no longer working there." She said that I should have been getting updates all along and was not. This of course I could tell but oddly 2 months is a major delay since it was just still in the stage of gathering the case info(minor detail etc.) not even the beginning of the process which can take awhile. She then says court records were requested April 15,2019. How difficult is it to request court records? They obviously just were not doing anything at all? Then it gets worse of course. Another 2 months later June 18,2019, I am the one once again to ask if they heard anything about the court records they requested 4/15. ONLY AFTER ASKING, I get a message from someone new, I never heard of Blake Perez. He says that they had to re submit the request because the court said they did not have it. He says nothing about when they resubmitted it. I then ask and he said that they "tried to contact the clerk the end of May but could not speak to one." Then he says that "early June they were told the court did not have it, so they resent the request." Of course, I am wondering WAS IT EVER SENT? LOL. Now it is from supposed 4/15 to 6/18 another 2 months delay still then having to wait another endless amount of time to just gather the info as the process is no where near beginning, yet I signed up January 2019. Then only as I asked for the exact date the re-request was submitted to the court. I catch him in a documented lie, because Blake Perez stated that the re request was mailed June 19,2019 yet this was the very next day after I had messaged with a follow up to see what was going on with what was sent 4/15. OBVIOUSLY they did not even re submit or "DO" anything until I inquired. Even as far as to re submit something they supposedly had found out "early June" by the clerk that they did not have the request. WHAT A BUNCH OF NUTS! I then simply request to speak to the supervising paralegal that emailed me in April about the employees taking no action for the first 2 months. I get no response. I had no choice to contact the BBB and then I get a creepy message from someone named Kelton Johnson who I never heard of. He "tells me" to remove the BBB complaint if I want them to work on the case. Yet they could have just responded appropriately to the BBB. He then says that "he can see that I have been contacted appropriately throughout." The email chain as everything is uploaded, clearly shows that I only was told things after I was the one to even alert them to the problem of them not taking action ON ANYTHING. After getting his creepy message as he was rambling about that they do not bother the court, which made no sense, as who cares? They do not bother the court with requests of records because they do not even request the records they say they need lol. They do not do anything! I contacted them through the online chat and asked for Melanie Dahl to call me that afternoon 7/2/19. I was told that she was in a meeting but she would be calling. I get a call from creepy Kelton Johnson. I only asked him why Melanie Dahl is not calling and he said "she is not going to be calling you." I said that I was told that she would and he in a very strange voice, with a different tone, as if his voice changed hesitates and then says "actually that is not true." His voice got very loud and he began rambling uncontrollably as he sounded like he was having a breakdown of some sort. I had to terminate the call. I then get a creepy message from him saying only that my services have been terminated. I then got a few more odd messages only saying "we are not your attorneys anymore" I was not even asking anything at this point. "attorneys" Lol, for what? They are a bunch of paralegals, and attorney rejects who can not even expunge a record. Yet THIS IS WHAT THEY DO HERE." They obviously even have ones that are suffering from mental issues as Mr. Johnson obviously is. He never mentioned anything about the first 2 month delay in which Melanie Dahl emailed about the employees no longer being there that took no action. Honestly how useless and out of it can a person be? I then of course had to ask about my money as I was never told that I would get a refund when I get the creeper message that my services have been terminated. WHAT SERVICES? LOL. I let the BBB know and a few days later I had a full refund to my account. Obviously they knew they did nothing January 2019 to July 2019. CRAZY!
