HGTV IS WONDERFUL. I HAVE BEEN WATCHING IT FOR YEARS. DAVE AND JENNY MARRS DO THE MOST BEAUTIFUL REMODELS AND I LOVE DAVID BROMSTEAD'S "MY LOTTERY DREAM HOME". KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! YOU ARE GREAT!

ENOUGH with the COMMERCIALS RERUN! Who do you pay to run your commercials? Current one is Unsellable Houses and SOO TIRED OF IT! You run it about 10 times an hour or more. It's not going to make me want to see whatever you think you're promoting. Get creative! With that rant over- I might renew my subscription. We like the Chip & Joan/Property Brothers/Beach homes/Love it or List it is entertaining to see the hosts banter more than anything else. Definitely do not care for HGTV so called "Star" competitions. But really, get rid of those marathon commercials!

Does HGTV have a ton of reruns... Yes. Have you seen them so many times you could actually recite every word? Probably. Here's a question for all the complainers. "If you're watching so much HGTV re-runs, you must not have anything else to do or you're too short sighted to maybe read a book, take a walk, pull some weeds, clean out a closet, etc." Everybody has an opinion as it should be however, until you can produce a network, renovate a home, be creative; either shut up, change the channel or stop paying for HGTV. It's always easier to complain than it is to be positive. Perhaps HGTV is not the network for you!

I work at home and watch this HGTV endlessly. Re: Fixer to Fabulous, orig date 11-15-19, But, there's been a real rash of reno's whereby decorators take down useful upper cabinets & replace with relatively useless "open shelving". Sure, it's great for cool staging appearances - but ridiculously absurd for a functional kitchen. Come on, some of these decorators must actually use kitchens & realize the NEED for cabinets to store dry goods, etc. Most cans, boxes are not attractive. And, what's this BS of tearing out perfectly good cabinets and trashing them - disgustingly wasteful. Overall, I like Fixer to Fabulous. But check out photos - there's no storage in after.

This used to be a reliable channel to watch. Lately though the programming has really gone down hill. Where is house hunters-all these flipper shows and endless reruns of Chip and Joanna Gains-are just not entertaining. All the flips look alike and they are all done for unreasonably low amounts of money. The Gaines time is over and done. Lottery Dream Home is thinking outside the box and is enjoyable. Surly you can come up with something different than the same formula for professional flippers. Look to the likes of Brett Waterman for inspiration

When David's program first began, I loved it. But with each new season, his tats have been creping up his arms and now his neck! Gross! And with every new clients, when he greets them outside the house they are viewing his comment is always "you look so cute" and it also by his actions thinks he is too!

Time for a new host. One who has more comments than " you're so cute!"

I recorded all of the Home Town episodes and finally got the chance to see all of them! Didn't immediately love the show, but as I watched more episodes, I now have a better perspective of the show and of Ben and Erin. I love the colors Erin uses in the houses and the handcrafted custom furniture pieces Ben makes for the houses. I think that I may have expected the show to be like the other shows, but it is not. It has it's own unique personality and I love the fact that the show is in Mississippi, my home state!

My husband & I love to watch Chip & Joanna & I made him watch Home Town with me for the 1st time. I love how they focus only on old homes and give a historical snippet of each house. But my husband started critiquing the couple from the start. I have to admit that it was annoying when he was talking finances and said "so your all in for $$$$" just like Chip says. And they both do seem to try to emulate Fixer Upper.
But I started reading these reviews to my husband and he said "Get a life, they weren't that bad!"
I love the old houses but they need to find their own niche.

I love this show. It's so real and down to earth. It's not extremely overdone design but just comfortable living. Ben is a good craftsman and he always repurposes something cool for the new owners. They love each other! I just wish they would let Erin say "Oh my Word" sometimes. They censured her and it's too bad. They are both the real deal!

I watch HGTV quite a bit and I've read through quite a few of the reviews here. I don't understand why people complain so much about Home Town and Christina On The Coast. Both are good programs. Yes, Christina's voice is a bit grading, but so is Tamara Day (Bargain Mansions). My objections are when furniture appears to be included but is not (Fixer Upper). At least on Flip or Flop, they mention that they're paying for staging, so all of the furniture is clearly not included, but they're honest. Bring back Restored and move it from the dying DIY to HGTV.

We get it. You want us to buy Discovery+, but frankly, you're overselling it, and it's a turn off. We already pay for cable so we can see HGTV, and now you want us to pay more? In addition, the Flag advertisement for Discovery+ is constantly interfering with the show. For instance, on the show "One of a Kind", interesting facts are often shown in the top right corner, but are covered by the flag. It's frustrating and resulting in us changing the channel.

I was very disappointed that HGTV, in a recent ad for Flip or Flop, hints that they might argue during the episodes. I find it unforgivable of HGTV to try to capitalize on the co-stars personal problems!

HGTV - it's time to stop spreading such horrendous design to the masses. From Property Brothers, Flip or Flop, Good Bones, the design is so sub-standard, the staging particularly atrocious, and you should be ashamed for not rising to a higher standard. You are teaching a whole generation to accept mediocrity instead of elevating design to a higher level. You push cheap, temporary product, made overseas instead of well crafted, quality furnishings. There is no attempt to educate on re-use, recycle, and environmental issues pertaining to landfill. Why not have a show that highlights homes being built with LEED certification? I'm finding I'm watching less and less HGTV every day...

I love the show and my wife and I watch every show the one concerns
I have is watching the craft an that they use to build there kitchen cabinets is going loose a finger or two he is pushing small boards through the table saw without a PUSH STICK. His fingers are less an inch from the rotating blade. This is not away to increase your ratings. David McCaulder

Even before the negative press about her and Donavan's work in Chicago, Alison's personality, arrogant attitude, and rudeness to her partner have rankled. She is in a partnership and always says "I" and never we, when referring to her partnership. Humility or admitting to any type of mistake is not in her wheelhouse.

I am a quilter and have HGTV on all day. I must admitted I have to turn the TV off when she comes on. Even when she was competing with the other women she was ego centric and arrogant so that it was embarrassing. I think she should be taken off the air.

I love this couple because they are so real and so non-urban. And I love their relationship. Small town Mississippi is not Austin or San Diego and these folks capture that earnest southern small town feel. No artifice. If you don't like it, don't watch it. I am happy to let LA and Toronto go for a while, and to immerse myself in the south.

I like the show. No, Ben and Erin are not Chip and Joanna, but they have their own style. I like Ben, (not the beard) and think he is really a good problem solver. I also really like the new show Flip or Flop Vegas. I love that the woman is a bargain hunter. I think her designs are much nicer than Tarik and Christina. They seem like real people and actually do the work themselves instead of have the crew do everything.

Down home... and what a breath of fresh air. Erin and Ben are truly down home folks who love what they do and do it well. There is nothing pretentious about them. No showing off with ridiculous high jinks ( the one thing I had against Chip Gaines)
For the naysayers... most have probably never lived in the south or lived in a small town so ignore them.
Thank you HGTV for a new show that is a joy to watch.
Please HGTV keep enough episodes made ahead so we don't have to watch reruns constantly. That's a sure way to lose viewers.

I think HGTV didn't do Home Town any favors by running that weird "get up and do it" commercial ad nauseam. Having watched the show, I'm surprised to find I actually like it.

I love HGTV and I do enjoy the reveal on Fixer Upper, but one thing I noticed, the dialogue is always the same on every damn show! "Y'all wanna see yer Fixer Upper"? Also Joanna always has to comment about her "special" time with the kids each and every episode. She's also always saying "It's going to be a late night" when she's styling the house. Chip always acts like a little kid when he exclaims "Its demo day!" I also get annoyed at the fake banter between them. It gets a little tiresome. While I appreciate the designs, the dialogue needs work... although from what I've read, this is the last season... oh well.

Flea market flip is the best it should be on every weekend. Real people reinventing is the best and Laura is a great hostess and the shop workers show real ways to complete the project. Just wanted to share.
I am from Iowa and work everyday so this show shows such imagination and creativity.
I wish ther was a show to show women how to use power tools my husband has no patience and works all the time and I have so many projects that need to get done that I believe I could do if I knew how.
Chip and Joanna are the next best show in my opinion.
Just wanted to share. Thank you

We LOVE Fixer Upper and Tiny Houses - we did like Flip or Flop but have quit watching it because it's just not the same the way this young couple has done, especially to their children - it all seems phony now. We enjoyed a lot of the older shows that used to be on such as Sandra Rinomato, Curb Appeal, and others. Still love HGTV but too many repeats - too many island shows & beach front expensive homes that lots of your viewers couldn't begin to afford!
