At this point, I wouldn't watch Hometown just out of principle. The commercial is played non-stop - nearly - and Erin is so annoying with her "Just do it!". I have watched the show twice to give it a chance. The designs are so choppy and lack luster. Erin, once again, is so immature with her hanging on Ben, sitting on his lap (weird on a make over show) and her fake enthusiasm. Ben has some charm but Erin's lack of talent is overpowering. Loose the show!

Please stop running the commercial so many times or redo it. I am so sick of hearing Erin say Just Do It... Grrr. So aggravating. She need to stop with the child like water color pictures. It's ashame. Some people are not made for TV.
Ben has talent with the wood but that is the only I intesting thing about the show. I am not a mean person but I love watching the Fixer Upper Reruns and the Hometown commercial is driving me to be mean.

What the hell are doing?
February 5, 2018

I remember when this was the " home and gardening TV " it is just hour after hour of decorating at price's that most people can't afford. "Our home town" as cute as it is, once a week please. Not enough quality for a marathon. There used to be gardening info and gardening design. Now there is nothing. Buyers boot camp, I have to stream, really, just air it and delete an episode of house hunters international. Get something new please. Dear god, help this channel. I used to be a junkie, now I hardly watch. Dam, another good thing gone bad.

Home Town is terrible
February 5, 2018

I tried to watch this show the first time it was on. It did not work. This show is boring and Dan is so uncomfortable it is funny. Now, I cannot believe you are bringing this show back. Horrible choice. They are awful and you are shoving this show down our throats with all the advertising. These people are so boring and Dan is really bad. They put the B in boring. Please get rid if this nightmare of a show. They are not likable the show just stinks.

Please take this show off the air. The show and the advertisements for it are just embarrassing. The "just do it" comment in the advertising is tacky.

Hometown is not the show to replace Chip and Joanna. They are not relatable to the general population.

Also, HGTV is ready for a gay couple to host a show. PJ and Thomas are great!

I love this couple because they are so real and so non-urban. And I love their relationship. Small town Mississippi is not Austin or San Diego and these folks capture that earnest southern small town feel. No artifice. If you don't like it, don't watch it. I am happy to let LA and Toronto go for a while, and to immerse myself in the south.

Get rid of these shows and their over the top relegious tones and discusting lovey dovey garbage.
Both of the husbands are total annoying shmucks.
Fat guy with a beard and a church boy who thinks he is funny.
Bye bye to both and to top it off quite always having people on the shows with their growing families. Pass the birth control please.

Do not like Home Town
January 15, 2018

Home Town and their people are not appealing to me or my Family. We LOVE Chip & Joanna and are truly sad to see their show end. Home Town seems to be trying to fill their shoes but unfortunately, they don't even come close. I turn them off as soon as I see the show coming on. I truly enjoy Property Brothers & Love It or List It! Love HGTV - just not Home Town.

I have a love/hate relationship with Hgtv.

Hosts that are top notch, like Love It or List It, Income Property, Buying and Selling by Property Brothers, and NOW Home Town! Im an armchair architect, so love to watch the good or bad designs, but it is the Hosts that make the show for sure! Hosts like David of Lottery Winners, Lana of Flea Market Flip, and the Mom on Good Bones are too much. Nicey nice, short on fill in comments and personality to keep the time going, and sometimes SO boring. I cant believe these shows are still being watched by anyone!

Since it seems that my Hilary and David dont have new shows (why not?), Im very happy to now have Ben and Erin, of Home Town! They are so knowledgeable, engage with we viewers in a Real way, and are born hosts.

Im surprised by any negative reviews, because I feel Im in sync with most people. I love them both, and love the idea of home town. Five stars, what fun, and Thank You!

Done with the kids
January 10, 2018

I am so over the kids on Property Brothers! I don't understand the appeal. The show has nothing to do with children why have them on? The kids speak over others and much of the time I couldn't hear Jonathan or Drew due to talking in the background.

By far the worst show ever on hgtv - child's crayon drawings do not take the place of computer renderings - neither of the presenters seems to have a clue.

I like HGTV. I watch for ideas, insight, or just to see what's new design wise. I watched my first Flip or Flop Atlanta today. As the Corsini's progressed through the purchase, and reno they were working on gutting and kitchen design, had progressed to painting the exterior brick façade and adding clapboard siding when they discover that the crawlspace has serious water infiltration and erosion issues, degraded footings, and a support columns in excess of 10' high. What got me was that they bought a house gutted and started remodeling and never assessed the underlying structure? Really. So there incompetent, disengaged, both or just the bright white smiles for Non Reality TV. Mark said at least three Xs he had not looked at the crawlspace. Cut to commercial and they're picking out tile. Whoa! Hey Buddy... You are a "licensed" contractor right? At least pretend to do your due diligence. Will not watch this disingenuous show again. No credibility at all.

Contrived Cornballs

The Christmas King? Really? And the woman shown painting on the commercial looks like she's never had a paint brush in her hand before
Clearly the most unattractive couple on HGTV.
Stay away from filthy beard and Bucky beaver!

Rip off of southerners
December 29, 2017

I watched a number of these shows and next to fixer upper Home Town rips off the people. For 50 grand fixer upper would give you wonderful upgrades and home town gives you so much less. The people actually act impressed, whereas I would be pissed off. I believe it is in their designs. No where near the class if Fixer Upper. Both Home Town people dress sloppy and even their house isn't that great considering what they try to portray. Sorry guys, your work doesn't have the flair of Fixer Upper and you are a lot more expensive.

Good Bones negative
December 12, 2017

I do like the show but the stars dont break down the costs the work they do like other shows
They just say
We bought it fo a sum
Put in 100,000
And sold it for sum

They do go into detail of the work and items but never the individual costs of the work or items

Flip or Flop Atlanta is the most absolute worst show they have produced. I'll stick with Tarek and Christina. Love them. Even Texas has just premiered, and they've already beat Atlanta out of the gate. The wife is dry and monotone and he's no better. Maybe if he was matched up with someone other than Anita, it might have potential. Other than that, I can't bear back to back episodes of them!
