I have tried twice to use heath care.gov marketplace to shop for insurance. Each time I put in my phone number and email and it's almost instantly I start to receive scam emails where they actually trying to steal my bank account info and such and constant robo calls. I thought maybe it was from something else till I tried it again this year and same thing happens… please guys save your self the trouble and go else where. This should be illegal and against the law, especially being a government website…

First you just gave up your phone # to an incessant group of leaches with zero respect. Over 100 phone calls in less than an hour. Crappy people to deal with. I got health insurance on my own and someone from within market place pretended to be me and canceled my policy. No one cares that they harass u and illegals use your information. Worst dealings ever!

Tip for consumers:
No one should have to pay almost $800 a month for health ins when they r healthy!

I found out in October that I was no longer able to get my employer medical coverage. I filled out the application at Healthcare.gov to see what was available. After filling out the entire application I was told I was not eligible because I still have coverage. The application asked if I had coverage until December 31. I answered yes but my coverage ended that day. I called up Customer service who treated me like a child. I stated that the application at NO time asked when my current coverage ends but only asked IF I had coverage until year end. "You don't know what you are doing" he kept telling me. After explaining 4 times the problem he said "Clearly you don't understand. I will walk you through and show you where you went wrong". After 30 minutes of his attempting to show me I was wrong, he apologized and stated that the application was programmed wrong and no longer seemed to have the same questions asking WHEN current coverage ended and when coverage was being requested for. He said, "WOW, no one will qualify for coverage how this is programmed!" Is this a simple programming error or a ploy to avoid new coverage? He did some work on his end and I received a new notice that I not only qualified for 2022 insurance plans but should qualify for the government discount. Without taking an additional hour of my time and refusing to accepting NO for an answer I would not have the pleasure of seeing plans starting at $1300 a month that cover virtually nothing and have ZERO providers within 60 minutes of my home! And this is supposed to be 'good coverage'. So much for making sure all Americans get medical treatment and coverage. If I were not a Citizen I would get better care for ZERO cost to me! Thanks...

Savings are very beneficial but the process of obtaining healthcare with them is excruciating! Every single time I call in, I get completely differing information and have had to spend HOURS following up on their issues. Not only that, they provide a customer service # within the portal that appears to be their # but is actually HealthSherpa (a for profit private sector company) without disclosing it. This whole process has been infuriating!

Got on the website to get a quote and man what a mistake! Calls starting from 7:56am the following morning and over 100 calls the first day! That was last week and I am still waking up to 20 missed calla today! The quote I was given was not even a good deal or affordable so now I have no insurance and am being harrased by calls. Do not waste your time!

This is purely a one person customer service review. After hours on the phone with a sleuth of of people who kept dropping my call and had absolutely NO clue what they were talking about (I was only trying to reset my password and re-enroll for goodness sakes!) finally got someone to help me and answer all my questions. Thanks Delilah! (*one star deducted because the others were so pain stakingly terrible).

I did not have coverage in 2023 and my taxes was rejected because of an error made by them. Now I have to wait up to 45 days for them to fix it. Complete BS.

After calling heathcare.gov was quoted at 180 dollars monthly plus 100 dollar sign on fee. They were begging me for my credit card info. After a while I hung up realizing it's a scam and began to get a barage of spam phone calls. Do not trust this site. It is obviously ran by scammers.

I saw their ad on YouTube and thought what the hey maybe it's worth a shot.

I've only gone through the application process ( well, part of it anyway...) I got told my identity could not be verified. I was given a telephone number to call and some long string of code.

I called the number and was told wait time was greater than 20 minutes. Hung up and decided it wasn't worth my time.

Then I looked them up to see what other people had to say and looks like my suspicions were confirmed. Looks like health care that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and doesn't require a ton of hoops to jump through...If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Now I just hope I don't get deluged with spam calls...

Tip for consumers:
If it sounds too good to be true....it probably is. Be careful. I will probably try to delete my account on there just to be on the safe side.

It is amazing how much the Democrats try to scare Americans to vote their way by giving them information that is not correct.
The lower court has already determined that the Obama healthcare will end. The Supreme court is having a hearing on the lower courts decision and possible overturn the lower courts decision. The problem right now is the Supreme Court currently with 8 justices can have a tied decision. If this happens the decision of the lower court will be up held and the Obama healthcare plan will end.
Also, it has been stated many times by many people in President' Trump's campaign that all pre-existing conditions will be covered also any conditions or treatment dealing with Covid-19 are being paid for by the movement. Please read and do your due diligence before you buy into the democratic lies before it is to late to correct the damage they will inflict on the American people.
Thank you and read reliable sources before you make a decision.

I enrolled because I saw the ad on YouTube and celebs like Steve Harvey and others talking about how great this gov healthcare is. Yet, when I enrolled over the phone in around September 2023, everytime I called to get more info or find out who my provider is, they tell me that the last person didn't enroll me right or they gave me a premium with a high deductible so they had to Re-enroll me or switch insurance companies with better deductible. The re-enrolling happened about 10 times. And the switching insurance companies at least 3 times. First one was Blue-something. Second was AmBetter Sunshine Health and third is Aetna. I have Never been more confused and frustrated in all my life! Last week in Feb 2024, I was sick and had to call out of work and I couldn't even go to a doctor because I was in between insurance companies. I called Marketplace to find out what's going on and also to get my 1095-A tax form and talked to 2 different agents and they both weren't very helpful. The woman was really annoyed by me but it's crazy because I'm not the one making all these changes. And I even told her that I've never had healthcare before so I was clueless about how these things work.
I'm even more annoyed that my tax return got rejected by the IRS because I didn't file the healthcare tax form and I put in that I had no healthcare because it's true. I got No healthcare during the year 2023. The IRS agent told me that Marketplace can send a letter stating that I wasn't actually covered or I couldn't use the healthcare for the year of 2023 but Marketplace is insisting that I WAS covered and that I gave permission to an agent or broker to enroll me. But what good is it for me to be "Covered" or give my permission to on something that I never had access to? And every time I tried to find out how to use it, they would make more changes so nothing was solid. Or consistent. And half the time when I call it's a hit and miss. Like if I'm speaking to a real American person and NOT someone from India or wherever faking an American accent. Or someone from Asia who can barely speak English that's great! But the trouble is when I call a lot of places and I can barely communicate with the agent because of their thick accent or broken English. I'm gonna try to use this Aetna as much as I can but if I get little to nothing out of this, I'm never applying for gov healthcare ever again. The whole thing is honestly just BS if you ask me. Hopefully I'm just mistaken and I'm able to figure it out or find someone who understands gov healthcare and how it works. But if not, It's really not worth the trouble.

Based I. Your commercials I'm reminded that the government constantly gives blacks free and cheap services while white people work and pay the highest rates! I'm sick of this bull$#*!! Make blacks pay their share and if they can't afford it get a job.! If too lazy no health care! Sick of paying more so lazy blacks can get the same health care for free or cheap!

I was told the plan would cost $12.40/m, we agreed and were issued an insurance card and paid the first month. One month later we were billed $740/m and issued a new card saying our deductible was $6000 versus "0 deductible". I called MarketPlace to get help, and I believe I was very cordial...After explaining the problem, Michael, the level 2 representative was extremely rude and unhelpful... So, of course, I wasn't happy but not rude...he then hung up on me! EDIT 01/22/2024--We had to cancel the insurance, we couldn't get anybody on the phone to help us. We couldn't afford to have $740 taken out of the checking account.

No pros: It covers doctor visits possibly. My grandson needs a heart specialist and none will cover him.

Cons: I got insurance in the past and everything was supposed to be covered. Then I got a huge bill in the mail.

We tried this for 11 months and because I had 96 thousand on my application and made only 47 thousand for the year, I have to pay 6500 in taxes because of the insurance. I made less and have to pay more in taxes! It's CRAZY! And, this did not cover my wife prescriptions and we could not even use the insurance.

The website automatically logs me out every time i look at health plans. If I log back in, it takes me to a different page. Trying to change my health plan was infuriating. The directions in the website's help center say to go to "my plans and programs" and then click on the "change plan" button on the left, but no such button exists.

I called to let healthcare.gov that I was tenporaly laid off due to coronavirus, and told the agent I wasn't making my 35k a year anymore, the agent went and changed my plan without my concern. And from $140 a month it increased to $570 a month when. I asked the representative why did she make the change she said I asked for it, I asked her to please change it back and she said is too late, then I asked for a manager his name was Timothy the nastiest person you can talk to, he said the changes were done and that there was anything else possible to do, then he said he was going to reppet me for fraudulent info which I didnt have, I ended up being threaten by Timothy because I was upset over changes that were made without my consent, horrible service try to go through your local area DO NOT CALL THEM DIRECTLY

Obviously, my life does NOT matter because I can NOT afford health insurance. I have done my best to work hard and make enough money to have health insurance and be a good and contributing member of society, but at these prices I can not afford the insurance. I imagine the average person can not afford these extreme prices. Hopefully, I will stay healthy because if not and it is something that needs medical attention I guess I will just die.

December 2022-January of 2023 healthcare got changed 6 or 7 times due to the constant harassment of calls from the Market Place. I was not aware of all these changes and what was going on until later. I found out from a BCBS representative that the Market Place is a call center with a commission base. It was better to get a BCBS or Healthcare company broker as a representative. Then December 2023. I was sold a United Healthcare plan with a higher amount of deductible and out-of-pocket. I was on the BCBS Gold Plan. Then I am put on another BCBS Plan with a higher everything for January 2024. I changed my United Healthcare Plan to no deductible, no out of pocket, and no premium but higher co-pays/specialty pay for February 2024. Meanwhile, I am constantly being harassed by the Market Place 30+ calls daily.

2023 I started a new monthly small pension and continued full-time employment. I provided this information of my hourly wage, hours worked, and net pension (my pension-$10.00 taken out for Federal). 2024 taxes show I now owe $1,500.00 for the Market Place. My rent went up $375.00 now almost 1/2 my income. So I opted to pay a 20% penalty a year by making payments to the IRS. My credit card interest is now 29% monthly more than 20% for penalties from the IRS yearly.

I canceled all my insurance and opted for free community health clinics. I am 64 and Medicare is around the corner. I will be forced to take Medicare or pay penalties for life. Medicare is not affordable either $175.00 a month. Social Security age is now 67. WTF. I am already living in low housing and cannot afford this! I have been on the Section-8 waiting list now for 3 years. Healthcare is for the poor and well-to-do NOT the in-between income. I have never made a $50,000 annual income. Teachers make more money than I do. I just help the elderly in healthcare. I cannot even donate money and I continue to go to food pantries. Our country needs an overhaul.
