First thing, the Monmouth junction, NJ store the employees always great you like an old friend. Had some confusion over a coupon and the manager Mikki went over and above to get it resolved. Everyone is s helpful, kind and nice. All other retail establishments should emulate them. Insider track purchase pays itself over after a few visits; would definitely recommend this.

An absolute joke. They try and give you so much crap at filling out warranty stuff that you enter over and over and the format is very poor for a company like HF. I will never purchase anything that I need an extended warranty for from this place. Time is precious and you shouldn't have to deal with this. Look at the review rating. It should tell you something is wrong. Oh and it says thanks for being a loyal customer. Wow...

I desperately needed a rotary die grinder for cylinder head ports i purchased a die grinder complete with flex shaft 6 months ago for 24.95 now they want 30.00 for the sane grinder with no flex shaft but the cases still hsve the place the shaft is supposed to go! What the hell is wrong with these morons are they trying to loose all their business online cause that is exactly where im going until they smarten up abd im about 100% sure all the real customers whom buy regular items are heading there too

This online experience was the worst of ever had.
They didn't feel my order even though it showed locally and at other stores but I couldn't get out to get it.
So I tried to online order they shipped half my order said some was back ordered.
Just terrible go to the store it's a great place to shop but not online.

I was there at harbor freight today buying a tire I believe I overpaid for it cuz of this subscription that raised the price I paid $53 for it that's ridiculous that they're gouging their customers in that way just to make more money I seriously would not want to go back I like going to that store but not anymore not to get gouged for more than what the product is worth

A RECALL SHOULD BE IN PLACE! A VERY LONG TIME CUSTOMER, I BOUGHT 3 PITTSBURGH SLATE GREY, NEW COLOR, 3 TON LOW PROFILE FLOOR JACKS. THE FIRST PUT OIL IN IT, THEN NOTICED THE FOOT PAD STAYS UP ABOUT 4 TO 5 INCHES WHEN THE PIPE HANDLE IS IN THE VERTICLE POSITION, ALL THE WAY DOWN, READY TO ROLL UNDER INTO POSITION. SO THIS MEANS WHEN U ROLL IT UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE THE CLEARANCE IS VERY MINIMAL TO NONE. I TOOK EACH ONE BACK, DID THIS 3 TIMES, ALL 3 JACKS, AND EXCHANGED IT FOR ANOTHER THINKING ITS JUST THIS ONE JACK THAT IS FLAWED. ALL THE JACKS ARE FLAWED. ALL 3 DID THE SAME THING. THE JACKS ARE ALL THIS WAY. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON ALL THE NEW SLATE GREY 3 TON LOW PROFILE PITTSBURGH FLOOR JACKS. U CANT USE IT THIS WAY. THE RED COLOR ONES BEFORE, THE SAME JACK, WERE GREAT DID NOT DO THIS. THE NEW SLATE GREY COLOR CAME, ALL ARE MOST LIKELY ARE ALL THIS WAY, FLAWED. PROBABLY MADE DIFFERENTLY, DIFFERENT COMPONENTS, NOT AS GOOD AS THE RED ONES. MY ADVICE DONT BUY THESE U WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED AND TAKING IT BACK. THE RED ONES HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED.

My first time at the store in Claremont NH maybe my last. The person at the register was not friendly and when I asked about a price at the register display was different then price on shelf I got an attitude from him. The manager gave us a refund of the amount over, but was not kind. Customer service is not the same as it was years ago when I was in retail. The customer pays your pay check.

Tip for consumers:
Hope this review makes a difference in customer sertvice.

Normally a good store. Today who were those people. Trouble with checking out. Checker so concerned she cleans her key board while waiting on you. No member prices. Electronic failure with NO backup plan
Like strangers had taken the store. Sure hope this is not the NEW Harbor Freight.

I make a good wage and a credit score over 800. Can only qualify for $2,500. Doesn't cover the cost of one tool chest. Canceled the credit card. Not worth the credit ding.

The ITC membership does not give you the stated benefit of "No need to save coupons, the best deals are automatically applied for Inside Track Club members." So if there is a coupon offer you don't get it unless you have the coupon. So my membership is a one and done.

Bought this paid over a thousand dollars for this All forecasters dis integrated won't replace under warranty or defeat.
Steer clear of buying anything from Harbor freight in toolboxes. You pay for what you get

I have shopped Harbor freight for over 10 years. I always considered their tools to be best suited for occasional and beginners and not contractor grade. They are gradually transitioning their pricing upward by adding new product names to make people think they are buying upscale. These brands have no track record, only what Harbor Freight touts. I think they have eliminated the 20% off any item coupon.
This is just my opinion and not based on any proven fact.

You people are notorious for putting items on sale and when you go to the store they have none of the product and the store has never received any of the product or you may send one piece for the whole shopping area and some of these items you can only buy in the store like there Pittsburgh rolling shop cranes I've been trying to buy one for 3 months at our Vienna store and check every week but they never have any and I'm told they can't order them in to the store they just get what the warehouse sends them this store should be put out of business for false advertising!

Tip for consumers:
Harbor Freight blames fee and Fedex blames Harbor Freight nobody helps me.

I bought a few items based on the shelf price. At checkout I was told I had to sign up and pay an annual fee to get discounts. Amazon will be my first choice. I will not step into Harbor Freight again.

I've made many purchases at HF and the majority I've had no problems. That said there are two issues I've had with them I feel worth mentioning. The first was on online purchase where an obviously used/returned gas powered tool was shipped to me. I could tell right away the box had been previously opened. The packing material inside was broken up and the tool itself had mud splashed on it and part of it was rusty. It was obviously used by someone than returned to HF where they put it back into stock without even opening and inspecting it. Needless to say I returned it. The second issue is I recently discovered HF removed a negative review I had given on an item. I leave both positive and negative reviews and while they post the positive ones they remove the negative which calls into question their honesty not to mention business ethics. I emailed them about this and they have yet to post the review as any honest and ethical business would.

I bought a pipe wrench set and worked good for the one job. Two months later they all started cracking form hitting the hammer. Alright for light use but not long term hard use.

Ordered a lot of products from them without any major problems until now. One of my items on my order was on back order, so they just canceled the item. When I went on-line to check on my order, it showed that the order had a shipping label, but had not shipped. I call customer service & some B hung up on me when I was giving her my order number. Called them again & let them have it. The guy at customer service said my order had shipped, Fed X say that they haven't picked it up yet & the Harbor Freight web site shows my order on back order. Told them to remove my information from their web site & no more buying from Harbor Freight!

My name is Ken and I buy and sell stuff for lung transplant fund. Bought a 10x17' portable garage from harbor freight in Jacksonville NC. 1.5yrs ago, I keep all my sales items under my garage & I called this past week may 31 - 2020 talked to a supervisor, was told to bring it back, and they will trade it out for a new one. Mind you I bought a 2 yr. Warranty. Well itook it down, took it back, only to find that they didn't have another one. Now I paid $50.00 for the warranty. Told me to call back the following day. Did that, no tent, said they were getting a truck that evening, no 10x17. Called back Friday June 5th. Talked to a manager. She got $#*!ty with me & said I'm sorry I don't know when we will get any of those back in.we don't get to order.the company sends us what ever they want, so they refunded my purchase price but not my warranty payment.so now I have all my lung transplant fund furniture on the floor I built inside of it with a tarp throughn over it. Needless to say I'm on 8 liters of oxygen 24/7.and saying they won't get another truck until Friday the 12th of June. Harbor freight corporate y'all should be ashamed of the way you treat your customers. I have been a loyal customer since California 30 years ago or longer. You can damn well believe not no more.im going to shame your company all I can, I want the public to know just how sorry the co. Has treated me. Thank you for ruining my lung transplant fund objects now that I can't sell them Kenneth Foy/Jacksonville NC. *******

Two weeks ago, I bought a Harbor Freight power auger to bore post holes with for a project. I used it a couple of times and then it wouldn't start no matter what I tried. The carburetor was bad and allowing gas to get into the air filter. I called their technical support and they were polite and all. But when I asked them for a replacement carburetor, they told me they didn't have any. It's a part used on many of the small gas engines in various tools they sell. But, they didn't have that part and told to take it back to the store and exchange it. So I did take it back only to be told they didn't have any and the next closest store didn't have any. But, a store 60 miles away might have one. They couldn't even tell me if more gas augers would be in soon. They gave me my money back. So, I have a project and no tool. I had even bought their extended guarantee. But, that didn't fix the problem. They wasted my time and gas while providing no support and no tool to exchange. Don't buy anything from them if you depend on it to work when you need it. You will be disappointed.

About 75% of the products are junk and thats why it's cheap but not cheaper than just buying real professional grade products the first time. Customer service is mediocre but hey they honored a warranty one time so yea.

On their website, I posted a review regarding a dangerous situation with one of their products. After 7 days, the review has not appeared in the review section for the product, leading me to believe they will not post it because it is negative.

I had purchased a 500 amp Load Tester item # *******. The first time I used it, the item smoked. I thought it did so because the item was new & the user manual stated item can get hot. The second time I used the item, it caught fire. I had to use a fire extinguisher to put out the flames. Inside the case of the tester, the positive cable insulation was badly charred & the negative cable insulation slightly charred, but the flames had engulfed the whole inside of the load tester case. It seems the cables used on this item are not sufficient size to handle high amperage. At the time of the second test, I had set it to 425 amps.

Tip for consumers:
Several items I had purchased in the past did not last beyond one or two uses. The quality of many of their products are low grade. Regarding this 500 amp load tester, it is dangerous. Had there not been an extinguisher nearby, or had I had the tester in the engine compartment of the car, things could have been much worse.
