Do not I repeat do not order anything from these people. Over 2 weeks to ship my order. I recieved a partial shippment the day of my party and some items were missing. No response from the Company after mulitple phone calls and E-mails. I have an open dispute with Pay-Pal that they havent responded to yet. Waiting on a refund after a month. Buyer Beware

I ordered some stuff here and all the merchandise came in broken, crushed boxes. One of the Blacklight spot lights had no spike to put it in the ground with. Everything was rewrapped i also ordered a large expensive blacklight that came with all the styrofoam used to sucure it broken into pieces and a note on the shipping invoice had an arrow pointing to this item saying "these are all down at the bar" i guess they use the stuff when they're not selling it. They sold me a bunch of used crap thrown in a crushed box that i paid a lot of money for, i love halloween and am always buying new stuff and spend a lot of money but i will never buy from them again.

What a rip off i paid over 20 bucks for 3 day shipping recieved half my order 3 weeks later and the halloween prop. For through head had no fork and no eyes total rip. Calling credit card company tomorrw morning

Ordered a bunch of stuff for halloween 2 weeks prior to the event. 10 days later I called to check on the status since I hadn't received anything and it was getting close to halloween.
After waiting 20 minutes the sales rep told me they didn't ship it out until 8 days after the order was placed and the delivery wasn't scheduled to arrive until 10/31. He also alluded to the fact the the fog machines may not have shipped as they were coming from somewhere else and he didn't see a confirmation. He said he'd check on it and call me back. Never heard back.

Summary: Was charged nearly $100 in shipping only to have them hold up my order for no apparent reason. Probably won't get my order until after Halloween and it won't even be a complete order. All of this without even an email giving any sort of notice.

This is from an email exchange with this company. I was in the wrong about the delay in processing, but I am surprised by the angry response they sent. I have worked in the customer service industry, and am fully aware the customer is NOT always right, but I would never turn off someone like this because I was a salesperson who was personally offended (thereby representing the company!). I also think the fact that it was on sale is moot. If they wanted to sell the merchandise at full price or X200% then that is their choice--I didn't realize that a reduction in price tag also meant a reduction in customer service. And I was never complaining about the price anyway--only the fact that it took two weeks to get my stuff.

Dear Halloweeneffects,
I am disappointed in the shipping rate of my order--especially having paid over $20 for shipping, when most things on the Internet are either free or less than $10 AND they arrive within at least a week. By the time I get my order, it will have been TWO WEEKS. I called a week after placing the order online asking to see if the order had even shipped; it had not. I just think that if you want to stay on it in this day of Internet buying, you need to step up your processing.
I won't be buying from you again. I only hope that the products I ordered aren't in bad condition/anything is broken, because I REALLY do not want to deal with even more of a hassle/shipping/time wasted.

RESPONSE:

Maybe you need a better understanding. You placed this order on 11/1/13 at 5:01pm. We closed at 5pm just like other businesses. And just like other businesses we were also closed on Saturday 11/2/13 and on Sunday 11/3/13. Then on Monday 11/4/13 we all came back to work and started to processes orders from the weekend (which included your order).

Since we had an "end of season inventory reduction sale" on 11/1/2014 you were able to receive a substantial discount of 70%. In other words you bought $200 worth for only $59. Lots of other people also took advantage of that sale which produced about 2000 orders for us to process, pack and ship. I thought we did pretty good since we had your order packed up and shipped out the door within 3 business days. Yes your order shipped on 11/7/2013 via UPS tracking number XXXXXXXX and it is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.

You were disappointed with the shipping rate. Please understand two things: First, UPS sets their own shipping rates not us. Second, you saved $141 from your order total because of this sale. We actually lost money selling these items to you at that price. You are right in saying that some other companies do offer free shipping but they will also charge you the full rate of $200 for this order. They can afford to pay the shipping out of the huge profit. In this case there was no profit. YOU INDEED GOT THE BETTER DEAL.

In closing you stated that you won't be buying from us again. That is your choice. Maybe you should have paid the $200 somewhere else instead of the $59 plus $20 shipping you paid here.

By the way... sorry for the hassle and time you wasted buying these items that will sit on a shelf until next Halloween

This website is a rip off. It advertises items are "on sale" half-off. I placed an order that included a LED Super Strobe Light battery operated. It was listed at an original price of $29.98 and on sale for $14.99. When the order arrived the packaging box of the strobe light had a preprinted price of $9.99 on it.
