“Don't trust them”

I believe that I have been treated unfairly by your dealership on Ireland road. In South Bend. I bought a used 2005 KIA 3 months ago, it was supposed to have been thoroughly checked by their service department. And it came with a 3 month warranty. Driving it home after picking it up a bolt came loose on the right rear break. I called the service dept and they came out and towed it in. I picked it up the next day and the gear shift fell apart, I drove it in and they fixed that. Wondering that I might have purchased a lemon, I talked to Jeremy in the finance dept. he suggested that I buy an extended warranty and keep it for three months so if anything else went wrong it would be covered then I could cancel the warranty so it wouldn't cost so much. I told him that was a great idea and he sold me an extended warranty and told me (and I quote) " this warranty will cover everything except for NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR" Thinking that "NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR" meant things like tires or wiper blades etc. I believed him. Two or three weeks ago the radiator overheated. I called the service dept. and they said I only had a three month warranty. I told them that's OK, talk to Jeremy he said I was covered for (again) "everything except NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR" I had this conversation as I was on a gurney in the hospital to have some surgery done. And yes I did tell the service dept to go ahead and fix it thinking it would be covered. I went to pick up the vehicle two days later and was told the bill was $1100. 00. I said for repairing a radiator? The service dept said they replaced the radiator. I said why didn't you repair it? If it leaked, you should have repaired (welded) the leak. They said they hadn't heard of fixing a radiator that way. What about the warranty I said? Radiators are not covered they told me. But I bought the extended warranty How is a radiator needing to be replaced not covered? It's not normal wear and tear. Not covered they said. Since then I have called the dealer many times and they just never call back. I called the main office and they never call back either. I just get the answering machine from someone called Jill she never calls back either. I believe your dealership has treated me unfairly. I made a complaint on my face book page two days ago and they replied asking me to e mail them about the problem so they could "rectify the situation" they still have done nothing. I did contact them via e mail, here is what i said Gurley Leep Ford Lincoln Rick, we love what we do and we want for every customer to have the best possible experience. Please allow us to rectify the matter and provide details via *******@gurleyleep.com so we may reach out as soon as your schedule permits. What do you propose to rectify the situation?
