Aussie site all states. Choose your area by name or kms. Buy new, secondhand, preloved & even get free items! Almost anything avail. Watch options available. Pickup or post depend upon seller. Also great place to sell. Great for local stuff too. Owned by eBay but shopping is generally much cheaper & no selling fees & no auctions. Highly recommend. I love it! First place to look for something.
Staff at gumtree are incompetent and unaware of their own policies. I've had to reach out to them on multiple occasions to get them to reinstate my add after incorrectly removing it Theyre never available to chat online and email responses take forever, no contact number either so makes it very difficult to deal with and even more frustrating if its a paid add and they're in the wrong
I've used Gumtree alot over the last 5 yrs especially. Have no complaints about buying things from the site.
For my to sell/promote my business on the other hand. I've had my account restricted more times than I can count. When I've emailed them to sort it out they've told me they don't pro.ote my type of business. Yet there are at least 5 others promoting the same work that I do. Unbloodybelievable they are.
Gumtree app cannot be now used on different devices without being continuously signed out. Now when you post you need to insert photos twice as the first insert simply vanishes. Are the Gumtree employees qualify to manage this app?
Gumtree is charging now ridicules fees for posting: pets & cars.
Even for 1 only private car, they want money now.
It's less and less popular mainly due to greedy fees introduced.
Annoying amount of Scammers.
If you make a mistake in category, while posting, you can't correct it!
You have to delete and start again! How bad!
Every so called "update" is making this app worst, unusable.
If you keep trying you can still manage to post "coffee table", or "pair of shoes"

This website is okay for locating things for sale in local area. Other than that, it's a website to stay away from.
They don't regulate who posts on there. I've seen many scammers posting ads and gumtree.com.au does nothing about it.
