My schedule is incredibly full and that doesn't just make it difficult to find time to sit down to read comics, it also makes it incredibly difficult to find time to actually go to the comics shop. Luckily, I have two comics shops within walking distance from my work and for the last 3 months I have been playing the game of ping ponging back and forth between the two shops weekly during the 30ish minutes I have free on Wednesday to attempt to grab the latest stuff I am reading. About two weeks ago, that stopped. I went to both in an attempt to get the second issue of MMPR/JL #2 and then found myself so insulted when the shop runners for both mentioned that they had purposefully understocked it to get people to sign up for pull lists and then wouldn't order me the issue if I did sign up for a pull list, that I just straight up decided to drop going to the comics shop. Given that they were the only shops in town that carry recent releases, I searched around on eBay and found Georgetown Comics. They had everything that I was looking for that week (MMPR/JL, Superman #16), and even stuff that I hadn't seen in my shops at all and wanted to take a chance on (Nova 1-3). I ordered everything and was seriously impressed with the turnaround time. Not only did I get everything by Friday evening (the night I actually get a chance to read on), but I also got 5% off all my books which made them decently cheaper. I bought from them again last week and was treated to the exact same service, so I'll be buying from them again this week and so on until the end of time. I honestly cannot recommend them highly enough. They fit better into my schedule than anything else ever could. I'm even dropping my Marvel subscriptions to start ordering from them instead.
