Yesterday placed order, restaurant called said they out of items I ordered. GrubHub called them to confirm and they said, oh no, its on it's way (Lied.) Grubhub finally confirmed and did issue refund. Next day, place order for KFC, order confirmed, driver calls from outside building telling me to come down and get it. Told him physically unable to, order stated that food was to be brought to apartment and left outside apartment door. Driver said "Too bad", you want it, you have to come down and get it! Once again, had to call Grubhub to issue refund.
Don't use Grubhub, waste of time.
I can't count how many times grubhub has let me order from somewhere that hasnt closed and wont close for another hour then my order after waiting 30 40 mins all of a sudden gets cancelled. Then they try to give you some bs 10% cheap discount. It gets old fast. I want my time back and a free meal
I signed up for GRUBHUB to get food delivered because of Covid-19... I noticed the food was more expensive butI figured it was because it was being delivered... 2 hours Later no food... my kids are hungery... we called 3 times... I had to get the food and i paid $3.00 extra per meal... called grubhub 3 times... one hung up on me... I just wanted what they stole from me... I paid extra to get it delivered not to go get it myself... GRUBHUB REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. DONT DOWNLOAD THE APP
Ima keep it simple. I understand it's a balance to try and make this affordable AND keep employees. But you havd failed miserably grubhub. By what logic does a 10$ meal turn into 25$? No.
Worst delivery service out there. I ordered food and for over a half hour the site said he was en route, even though his car had not moved for the location he was sitting at. Then after almost 40 minutes the driver finally moved to go pick up the food and still took another 20 minutes to get from the restaurant to my house. The restaurant is less than a mile down the road! When we got the food finally, of course everything was cold. The only reason I had it delivered is to help out the delivery service and my local restaurant. But from now on Door Dash only.
First time using GrubHub. I usually use door dash but I used GrubHub because KFC doesn't use door dash... I ordered around 4:30 pm and I never received my food. Will not recommend grub hub to anyone
I placed an order for my sick niece. I asked that the driver call due to gated building, driver never called but delivery status was that food was delivered. After contacting grub hub about not receiving the delivery. The person at grub hub was very nonchalant about the situation and after throughly questioning my niece. They just said you will get a refund In five days but you can reorder your food. So that would be another 19$ out of my pocket with no guarantee that I would get the delivery. They should have sent a replacement delivery without me spending $40 for a bacon cheeseburger meal and onion rings. Need better customer service. Maybe she lives in the wrong neighborhood to get good service from grub hub (west side of Chicago). Very disappointed.
I recently reinstalled Grubhub on my phone. I wanted to spread the business I was giving to home delivery businesses.
I ordered and waited over an hour, after a driver change, for a message that the order could not be filled. NO EXPLANATION, NO FURTHER COMMENT.
I've greatly abridged this review but suffice it to say I removed Grubhub from my phone, I will NEVER order through Grubhub again.
I believe that I've decided that 3 strikes, you're out! Can relate to most of these reviews, everything from not receiving the meal at all, even though it said delivered, to being told they couldn't find address. Or, waiting for delivery, to find package on my dirty doormat, with no knock on door, even though I'm right by my front door, and no idea how long package was there. Plus, receiving only half an order, but being charged for full amount. Customer service at grubhub by phone, or in chat, is only time consuming, and doesn't resolve anything. I guess they count on that. I could go on-and-on, but most on this site, already know the problems, and issues that grubhub delivery services have...
We ordered during the coronavirus outbreak in WA, and left explicit instructions to the driver to buzz the door. The driver never buzzed the door, and didn't respond when we texted back within the minute. When we went outside 20 minutes later to check, we found someone had messed with the food and it was open and looked like it was eaten. Grubhub was very unhelpful and just said "sorry, we will try to improve". I had to throw the food away since I wasn't risking my health. Terrible customer service and callous drivers.
I ordered from kfc. Placed order around 4 30. Email said order should be delivered by 5 16. The driver texted me to ask for direction at 4 57. At 5 45 I still hadn't gotten my food. I texted the driver back and called and never got a response. So I called GrubHub to see what was going on with my order. She said the driver was at the restaurant picking up the food. By now my delivery time has moved to 6 00. They put me on hold to call the driver to get a delivery time. When they got back on the phone with me they said there had been a technical error and something didnt go through on their end and gave me a full refund. Thing is if there was a technical error how would the driver even have my number to text and ask for directions? Long story short I never got my food and they refunded me after waiting for my food for 2 damn hours. I will never again in my life use their services again and never recommend them to anyone. They are horrible. Like I told the customer service person, I understand it may take longer due to what is going on with this coronavirus thing but still the least they could have done was communicate to me what was going on and it would've been fine, I would've waited. I even gave the driver a nice tip. From now on I'll just go through door dash or waitr, they have much better communication skills and care about their customers.
Our order went to another house. Called GrubHub customer support and did not offer support other than to say, we will issue a refund and there's nothing I can do about that. Meanwhile, I tried calling the driver and he never answered or returned my text. My neighbors sure are enjoying my food, but I won't be. Thanks for ruining lunch for us, GrubHub.
I ordered food, called the restaurant to confirm they received my order, manager said no, checked grubhub app, said order was cancelled. If i ordered food why would it be cancelled? I didnt cancel it and neither did my husband. Called grub hub they blocked the account. They said wait 24-48 hours and my money would be in my account. Waited 48 hours, still no money. I call back they then said 3-5 days (on phone and in email). 3/31/2020 was the 5th day. I call since of course no money still. They tell me they have until 11:59 on 3/31/2020 to have that money in my account or i can sue them if its not. 12:01 im on the phone and the guy says that it takes 3-10 days and to call back at 9am today 4/1/2020 to speak to a manager. They cant give a straight answer they give you the run around. And yes, i called my bank several times and check my statements no money has been credit to my account. And i have spoken to a manager at Grub hub named Gabriel, and he was the one who said 3-5 days.
I ordered food 8:57! It was to come between 9:30 and 9:40 but it never came at alll! Funny thing is I was reading negative reviews about that happening to people right before I ordered my food but I ignored them... and see here. The driver legit ran away with my food! And wasn't answering calls even from grubhub customer service like wtf. Then online it says he delivered it at 9:54. Its after 10 now... I wasted almost an hr and an half on grubhub and they were like "were sorry here's a refund"... like no... you wasted my time wt heck
SO long story short dont waste your time because they simply aren't reliable. Period.
We ordered dinner. They went to the wrong address. Then they just canceled our order. They messed up and we paid the price. I guess the one or two other orders were ore important than fixing their mistake.
It is supposed to be free delivery because of covid-19 and my total said something else and then they charged me $10.23 extra for a card verification so the total that they overcharged me was $19.37
Many times (I don't know why I go back) my order is delayed because grubhub says they don't have a driver available. I have spoken to the driver that picks up the order and I have been told each time they were available and didn't get it til almost an hour later than I ordered it! This is completely unacceptable and horrible business! I doubt I will ever use them again since this keeps happening! I am trying to support local businesses during this time of need, and this company just doesn't care. I was offered only 10% off my next order and this is after I complained even more. DON'T USE GRUBHUB! THEY SUCK!
I was ordering take out at Blue Sake in Dunedin. Grub hub asked me if I wanted to place the order with them instead of the restaurant and promised me that if I used grubhub, they would apply a 10$ off my order. I accepted the offer from Grubhub, and the coupon auto populated on my receipt and said my transaction would be $34. I entered my cc info and then the total changed to $44. I called Grubhub to have them credit my account the ten bucks and they said i had to produce proof of the $10 discount, which was impossible bc I never added the promo code, it auto populated. What a scam. They refused to honor the amount they said they would charge, and when I went to my receipt the promo code was not there any longer. They refused to issue a credit and had no remorse that they told me a different amount than what they charged me. This company has a bleak future, their business ethics sucks.
GrubHub consistently has deals of "free delivery" or get X off a delivery. However, they don't actually follow through. You input the code they email you, and they say you cannot redeem it. Or, their site will say "free delivery with an X purchase." When you read the find print, there are not restrictions. But, wen you go to check out, they are charging you for delivery and a service fee. So an order originally costing $12-$15, now costs $30! Not worth it.
So we ordered from Lefty's and I ordered a cheeseburger with cheese fries on the side which is 85 cents more than regular fries. Food gets here and the driver was very nice and and on time. I open my box and I received curly fries instead of cheese fries which is not a big deal but I thought I'd just message them and ask for the 85 cents back and that was it. They decided out of nowhere to refund my portion of the order! Thanks for saving us money!
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.

Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
