Today was the first time I used a food delivery service and it was a pretty unpleasant experience. The lunch was supposed to be delivered at 11:30 but I got a text at 11:11 saying they were getting a tire fixed and would then go pick up my order. Things happen so that didn't bother me and I appreciated the text. At 11:30 I texted and asked the status and was told that they were on the way to pick up the food that had been ready since 11:00ish and would be right over. I got a phone call from our showroom at 11:55 by one of my fellow workers asking if I was expecting a food delivery which I confirmed that I was and asked that they send them to my office. About 10 minutes later I called the showroom asking if they had told them where to go and was told that they decided to pick up a couple of things while they were here and then would be heading my way. THEY WERE SHOPPING! I finally got my food that was prepared at least an hour before and when they delivered it the girl didn't seem concerned in the least. If I hadn't already put a tip on the card when I ordered the food I sure wouldn't have given them one.
My family and i recieved horrible service! We received our food almost 3 hours late and could not get ahold of the delivery guy. Do not recommend.
Ordered food from local restaurant for delivery to hotel after driving all day from midwest. Kid talked me into it. After two hours food hadnt arrived, called restaurant to check on order was told it was for pick-up, I reluctantly drove into downtown D. C. in the dark during rush hour to get the food. Food was all soggy and cold. Got it back to hotel three hours after it was ordered. My first question is why would I use grub-schlub if I was ordering pick-up? Wouldnt one just call the restaurant? Isnt the service based on delivery? Isnt that the whole idea? Terrible 1st time experience with Grub-Schlub.
I placed an order at lunch time for dinner delivery. An hour AFTER dinner was scheduled to be delivered I was notified it was cancelled. No explanation. I contacted the restaurant who said no one from Grubhub showed up. Nice.
Grubhub place a "no comtact" on my order, which I didn't do. Though I didn't place it on there, it had specific message for driver to txt or call when delivering meal. Food was left out, in my yard and was rained on. Didn't know it was there. Called Grubhub and told they would not redilever, free of charge. Offer discount for food we couldn't eat. Will never use them again!
The menu button we clicked was under the heading "all entrees served with rice", yet when we picked up the order there was no rice. Then we checked the Grubhub receipt and there was nothing about rice. So the menu does not map correctly to the receipt. Sorry guys, this is not on.
1st I ordered BK. It said 30-40 min wait. After waiting 20 minutes i get a notification saying it will take another 40 minutes. My lunch was over before they delivered and I didn't get a chance to eat. Now today I ordered kfc. After 20 minutes of waiting I get a notification saying my order was cancelled with no explanation why. Now i don't have enough time to go pick up food and I'm sitting here with my thumb up my $#*!. Isn't grubhub supposed to help keep you full? Well they kept me hungry more than once. You had one job.
I don't even know where to start aside from the fact that I did not get items that I paid for it I asked for a contact list delivery twice and did not get that the customer service I dealt with in the chat all three of them were absolutely horrible and I will never ever ever use the service again
I have used this service twice. Neither time has the food arrived on time. It has been a minimum of an hour late and has destroyed the food being delivered. After this experience, I will stick with Door Dash.
Ordered my food. First time. Downloaded app etc. After I placed my order it said delivery in 45 minutes. Okay. Then I get a text with 5 minutes left before delivery that a delay of 25 minutes. Okay. Grrr. But then nothing for an additional hour and half after latest delivery time. Which was almost 1 a.m. and I was tired and no longer hungry. Just mad. No apology except from driver, no refund and cold food. Thanks for stealing from me.
Yesterday was my birthday. My daughter came over and ordered some dinner for us. The driver called and said that she couldn't walk up stairs so could my daughter meet her in the parking lot? My daughter said that was fine and told the driver where my building is, in the complex. The driver agreed to meet her there. My daughter went out to meet her but she was not where they agreed. So my daughter had to walk clear across the complex to another location and when she asked the driver what happened the driver screamed at her that if she didn't want delivery to just go get it herself next time. We complained to Grub hub and they did nothing. The drivers name is Melissa.
5 star all the way. I love driving with them. I also love driving with them. I also alway order through them
I have ordered form this place twice and never received food. The restaurant told me that grub hub never came to pick it up and grub hub told me that they were closed so they couldn't get it. Totally unacceptable at this hour, getting off of work and hungry. I al tired of trying to give this place my business when Uber eats has never done this to me. Boycott grub hub!
This is the worst delivery company and the drivers are worst. I order a meal that claimed to be delivered but I never received. It was picked up, but I never got it. The driver just decided to steal my food and keep it for herself. The drivers name is Jasmine here in Shreveport. I will never use this company or app again.
I ordered from Grady's House of Chicken in Dallas. Tracked my order. Text said delivered. I called and the number didn't work. Beware. Call the restaurant to be sure it exists. I never received my food. Grub hub needs to provide actual businesses.
GrubHub has a commercial let's save the restaurants during the Corona virus, order through GrubHub. They don't mention my wife who got laid off from a restaurant due to the Corona virus and now we are losing are house and are car and are ten year old son is watching it all. So don't support GrubHub or restaurans until they make this right.
Total waste of time! If I could give the site a half star I definitely would. This was my first time ordering with GrubHub and it will definitely be my last time. I placed an order for $65 worth of food from a restaurant at 6:30 PM. I was notified by GrubHub that my food was going to be late, then I was notified that my food had been picked up, that I was notified that my driver was on the way and will be there with my food soon. At 8:00 PM I received a phone call from the restaurant that I ordered the fruit from letting me know that my driver never actually picked up my food, and they were closing so I would not be getting my food at all. They had tried contacting my driver several times before they closed to see if she was coming to pick up my order and she never answered her phone. I tried calling the driver to see where she was at and she never answered my phone call either. I waited for an hour and a half to end up with no food at all and having to cancel my order. Had I not been notified by the actual restaurant I would've been waiting around for forever with no food that was coming. When I contacted customer Service all they did was apologize and tell me that they would work on that. Now I have to wait five days to get my $65 back for their stupid driver. I am beyond disgusted with their customer service, the lack of caring from their customer service, and the fact that I never actually got my food! Definitely would not recommend using GrubHub at all. It's way more worth it to just drive to the restaurant yourself and pick it up.
First time ordering from here we received terrible service the driver said the food was delivered to us, but the funny thing is we were on the porch the whole time and no food was delivered to our door when we called customer service (which they were nice)got in contact with the driver and he said he left it on the clip on our door which is another funny thing because we were by the door the whole time, there was no one, I bet he delivered the food to the wrong address and we waited for about an hour for nothing, good customer service bad drivers.
This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with any food delivery service. I am a very easy going person and I am never one to complain. I am that person at a restaurant who, if given the wrong food or not what I asked for, I will just eat it because I do not want to hurt anyone's feelings or make a scene. But this time, this was absolutely ridiculous. I ordered from a local subway and it said it would be 40-50 minutes which is fine and it said it would be delivered between 1:30 and 1:45 pm. However, due to the current pandemic the delivery was no contact which I get. I laid out specific instructions for the driver on how to find my apartment including where it was located and what the building looked like. I was told I would receive a notification once the driver delivered my order. Not only did I not get a notification, but when I checked my order status, it said it had already been delivered. I walked to all of the nearby houses to see if maybe they had delivered it to the wrong address, but did not find any food. I contacted the customer service line and they tried to help me track down my food order by contacting the driver. After being on hold for 15 minutes, the customer service agent told me he is having trouble connecting with the driver. I waited on hold for another 20 minutes for him to tell me that they are unable to contact the driver. He said he would try again and if he couldn't get a hold of the driver in another 20 minutes then he would talk with his supervisor about the next steps. At this point, it is going on 2:15 and I am starving so I asked him if we could just get a refund and forget about it. I was issued my refund and will NEVER use Grubhub again.
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
