L place a order for pick up and delivery, l was told the time of delivery a hour and a half way later l got a message that said order had been deliver, l check at my door no where it was not there, l message the driver and he said l cannot come inside the building, l said fine why didn, t you call for me to come down and pick up he said he had left it down stairs, now this is a 102 apt building, they rip me of $29 but l will never order from them again and will be placing on facebook and twitter to spread of bad service,
I ordered through Grub hub for a pick up an hour early, got to the store and was told I would have to wait another 25 minutes for my order so I decided to order at a different restaurant up the street. There was no way to cancel my original order through the store or online and my credit card was charged for the original order. I called customer service and explained the situation. Although they did issue a refund for the order I didn't pick up I was told that they would refund this time but would be unable to refund in the future. Needless to say I will never order through them again. Nice way to run a business when I'm trying to support my local restaurants!
So today was my first time ordering food through GrubHub. I ordered Five Guys. I out in my address and picked my items. They asked if I wanted to tip, so I gave a 20% tip. Pressed the submit my order and then the app said your order would be ready for pickup in twenty minutes! Who orders through an app like GrubHub and picks up the order? Especially during this pandemic? Then who the you know what would tip 20% to get in their own car and drive across town to get their food. Biggest rip off! When I tried to cancel the order immediately after placing it, they said I couldn't because the order was already being worked. Yeah, Needless to say I came home and deleted the app from my phone. I will NEVER order through this flakey app again!
Terrible business model. Mess up an order, they blame the restaurant. Will only offer a partial refund only after arguing with them for half an hour.
We never received out food despite the announcement that our food had been delivered. USE ANOTHER FOOD DELIVERY SERVICE OR GO HUNGRY!
I ordered food from a resturant 10 mins away here i aam over a hour and half later still no food. Cant cancel the order. Customer service is a complete no show... Now im out close to 40 dollars and no food
Decided to give it a try for the second time since the first time ended bad. Ordered at 7:15pm and never received my order. Restaurant had called me that the food was ready but that they were waiting for driver. The order was canceled at 9pm and didn't get notified until 9:23pm. Waited over two hours for nothing. Worst food app ever.
Always asking for a refund, worst place to order from. You are better off picking up your own food, me and me husband got charged both on the same card for 1 deliver and gun hub refused to give me back my refund, I will never use this company again
I understand that promotions can end and that certain hours of the day might require an increase in the fees, but when you have moved to the final screen to pay for your order and you wait a moment to make sure of the detail, the app should not make changes. I had a delivery fee of 2.99, taxes of 4.15 and a free item on my order. I went to the final screen to pay for the order and wanted to double check the detail. When I was about to hit the pay button, I happened to notice that the order total had increase quite a bit... then I saw that the delivery fee went up, the service fee went up and the free item was not longer free. Imagine how I felt. If the family had not been excited about the food itself, I would have cancelled the order. Good bye GrubHub. I think this tactic is sneaky and unprofessional.
Ordered last night and it took an hour and 15 minutes to receive the order for starters. When our order did arrive it was short 2 chicken sandwiches. The driver was still in front of my house and I waved to him. I asked if he had another bag which he responded with why? Are you short something? I said yeah, 2 sandwiches. He tells me that the restaurant is horrible and to contact GRUBHUB for a refund. I said that's not going to help as someone isn't having dinner. When I contacted GRUBHUB through the website they are only refunding 52 cents out of the $9.78 for the 2 sandwiches. Never again!
Pathetic. Ordered from chick fil a@ 7:32. Estimated time was 8:15-8:25. A little long for fast food, but ok. At 7:52, my order has been delayed. Now is 8:35-8:45. Wow! FAST FOOD! Yeah, ok. At 8:10 a new message. Now it's 8:55-9:05. Really? An hour & a half? No! So I go to customer service to cancel & am told my order is still on schedule for 8:25. I ask them to verify. Oh, wait... It's going to be 9:21, but here's a coupon. Seriously? "Cancel my order". Thought their incompetence would stop here, but no. I get another SMS at 9:58 (that store closes at 9:00 btw) that they just spoke with the restaurant & my order should be there about 9:25 (a half hour ago). That's followed by another SMS 3 minutes later that states they're sorry, but they had to cancel my order & to check my email for refund details. God, I'm glad I decided to try their service before investing in them. What a waste - of time, of energy, of everything really. Not anything this country needs during these times.
Placed an order using Grubhub, and everything was on track for the order to be picked up and out of no where GH canceled the order without any notice or explanation. I called the restaurant to determine if they where closed or not allowing for delivery, the restaurant said that they did not cancel the order. They fulfilled the order and I had to pick it up myself. GH response was that I'll get my refund in 5 to 10 day, WTH. Additional, they offered no additional explanation or information for the cancellation of the order. I contacted customer service and they were not helpful at all. What a waste of my time and energy to use this app and service.
Do not ever use this service. We waited over an hour. Our order NEVER arrived. When we checked the website, we were told it 'had been delivered' There was nothing here. There is no number to call and no one cares anyway. They simply said they would refund our money but, we wanted our order. No one would answer the question of where out order went or why we never received it. They then said a refund would take a week!?!?!? I will never use this service again! I will also be posting this review where ever I can. Absolutely NO customer service!
Their drivers will not deliver over 9 miles so they cancel my order and tell me I will receive a refund in 5 to 10 days never again
My order was picked up in time, but arrived over an hour later after pick up. The order arrived a total of 1.25 hours late. It wasn't even the slightest bit warm, when it finally arrived! I called for a refund, and was offered a 20% discount off a future order? Nice way to hope you can still make money off me. I have deleted my account, removed the app, and will no longer be using them. This is not the first time I've had issues with their services. I've had orders cancelled with no explanation, until I call. I've even had no answers as why my order was cancelled, when I have called. Most drivers have been great, but this is the last straw for me.

The ETA changed twice. The order took 57 minutes to arrive. The driver BANGED on the door. Then, he waited in his car when I picked the order off the porch.
The food was like warm. The cole slaw was warmed through and inedible. I threw it away.
NOW, the Grub Hub app keeps flashing to purchase Grub Hub Plus for $10.00 a month!
I placed an order from GrubHub and chose a restaurant that is about 10 minutes away from my house. When my driver was on her way she texted me and let me know. When she left the food at my door, she also made sure to text and tell me that it is not a good idea to order from a restaurant so far away from my house. I have had a couple issues when using this company in the past but as a nurse and obeying to the stay at home order in Florida, I was excited to have food delivered. I reached out to GrubHub customer care and they did not seem to care at all how their drivers are treating their customers. I canceled the membership that I just signed up for today and will never order again from this company. Their are plenty other food delivery services who actually value their customers.
We purchased food from our local restaurant. We received a text from the grubhub driver that they had picked up the food and was on there way. A half hour later and food and no text we called the restaurant and they said the driver showed up but left without the food. We tried to contct the driver but got no answer. We called Grubhub service which appears in in India or some foreign country. It was difficult to communicate with them because of language issues. They tried to call the driver but got no answer. They said they would cancel the order and credit us. I said the food was ready to be picked up if they would contact another driver but somehow they couldn't give us an answer and said they would call us back. Still waiting to hear from them. Terrible service both from the driver and the company
Literally never get my order correct. You end up paying for an order and having to wait for your money back even though every order that's been messed up is on them. Doordash is much better I can't believe anyone actually even uses this garbage app.

Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.

Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
