I placed an order for two pair of Gravity Defyer shoes on July 3,2021. The order shipped quickly, and I received it on July 7th. But once I opened the package, I immediately could see the quality of the shoes was much less than I expected (considering the price I paid). After trying them on, I knew they were not going to work for me. I went to the company website and followed their instructions for return-for-refund. According to their policy, they had 30 days from the time they received the returned merchandise to issue the refund. That seemed to be a long wait to get my money back, and I kicked myself for not reviewing their return policy before placing my order. I filled out the requested form, used their provided return label, and sent the package back the very next day. I had my tracking receipt to prove the merchandise was received by Gravity Defyer within 7 days from the time I received it. Their website said a return confirmation email would be sent once the "request was processed". After 10 days, I had not yet received any type of acknowledgement for my return. I sent an email on July 19th asking for status. I received no reply. I sent a second email on July 24th. Again, no reply. On July 29th, I called their customer service number and was put into a voicemail queue. I left a voice message, but no one called me back. I decided to just wait until the 30 day period had gone by before trying to escalate the issue. Out of curiosity, I visited the Better Business Bureau website to see if there were any complaints about this company.
Sure enough, the most common complaints on the BBB website about Gravity Defyer were slow response time to email/phone inquiries, and delays in the processing of exchanges
& refunds. After 30 days had come and gone, I decided to call Gravity Defyer customer service one more time. I got lucky and a representative answered the phone on the third ring! I spoke to a representative who was very polite to me. He apologized profusely and said he would issue my refund right away. To my relief, the
Refund actually came through 3 days later. Although I eventually got my resolution, I was super disappointed that I had to spend so much time and effort to get there. Not a good experience for me at all, and I would never recommend doing business with this company.
Shoes
Ordered an 11 and I knew right away they looked very small like a size 9. I could not even get the top of my foot into the shoe. From noticing all the bad reviews I would tell everyone to go in on a group lawsuit because these shoes are more than dangerous as God forbid you are in a bad situation where you have one or more bad guys chasing after you where you immediately need to run fast and get out of an unfortunate bad experience nobody would ever be able to run away from trouble because these shoes are heavy like bricks attached to your feet and people would be a victim of a very bad situation since no one could ever run to get help so hopefully if people are wearing these uncomfortable painful shoes and you find yourself in a bad situation where you need to run away I hope people are at least able to call for help on their phone if people need an ambulance or the police as wearing these shoes could easily cause people to get wiped out or unfortunately pass away from an unexpected disaster as there is absolutely NO way to run from trouble if the need arises. I tried on those shoes and again I was not able to get my foot in the shoes and they looked a whole 2 sizes smaller! I must say that the catalog that the gdefy has looks good as they seem to sensationalize their shoes with the colorful advertising and they have these young models in the catalog wearing the shoes that you might picture yourself in. The colors of the shoes are beautiful and you say that you may every shoe in the catalog but well ok maybe not every shoe but you may notice a lot of shoes that you may like and even have a hard time deciding on which shoes you would like to buy. Wow I am amazed as I was really looking forward to some great shoes. I also have another pair of shoes as I have the compass work shoes and even though they had great reviews I had a huge painful red rash right in the middle of my toes which was excruciatingly painful! I'm wondering now if those "good reviews" are only written by the people who work at the gdefy company just to make the company look good because there are a ton of bad reviews by people who have the same exact problems that I have had. I no longer wear any shoes from the gdefy company as I find the shoes very bad and poor quality in fact there is no quality as the shoes are way too painful! I noticed that the same problems that people were having kept repeating over and over again as a lot of people said that they tried to return their shoes and the gdefy company told the people trying to return their shoes that their shoes were not in "like new condition" or people were being offered a "store credit" or some people said that they also were not refunded their money but were offered a 20% coupon so it definitely sounds like the gdefy company is a scam and unfortunately they do the same exact thing to everyone and that is a skeevy company. There is a guy on the radio by the name of Mike Trivisanno and he is hilarious and he is 65 years old but he looks 40 years old but he acts like he is 18 years old and he gambles and plays poker with young people in their 20's and 30's so Mike is hip and every now and then Mike Trivisanno talks about skeevy businesses. Mike is on a radio station called WTAM 1100 Cleveland Ohio on Monday through Friday between the hours of 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and WTAM is an IHEART radio station so WTAM is literally heard and can be heard all around the world if you go to www.WTAM.com you can listen to "The Mike Trivisanno Show" or go to the IHEART radio website and go to www.IHEART.com and type in WTAM 1100 Cleveland Ohio and you can listen to Mike Trivisanno as he is very interesting to listen to and he does talk about skeevy businesses and Mike Trivisanno says that America has the best scam artists and that's what the gdefy company is. One time back in 1994 Mike Trivisanno wanted to show people how easy it is to buy drugs during the day so Mike went live on air as I missed this episode but they play this episode on "The Best Of The Mike Trivisanno Show " and it was funny because Mike was talking to a guy live at the radio station and the guy at the radio station told Mike to give the hand signals indicating that he would want to buy drugs so as Mike said to the guy back at the radio station "what is the hand signal?" All of the sudden Mike Trivisanno had about 5 police cars behind him. Everyone back at the radio station was laughing hysterically as a police officer told Mike they needed him to go to the police department for questioning and Mike Trivisanno explained that he was trying to do a show about how easy it is to buy drugs during the day so Mike got out of trouble and that was one of the funniest things that he ever did on the radio live. Mike is great and he is the top radio talk show host for over 28 years. Mike does talk about Skeevy businesses and that is exactly what the gdefy is. This gdefy is absolutely unbelievable as these shoes again are fatal to wear in that again if you are in a bad unfortunate situation you will never get out. If people want to wear these shoes then that is their decision but a warning in that if anybody wants to wear these shoes I hope people are responsibly armed where they can defend themselves just in case you find yourself in a fatal situation. There are many responsible people who have took "CCW classes" (Concealed Carry Weapon Classes) to protect themselves and who are responsible owners so people can be legally allowed to be armed in case of a bad situation and again I hope nobody is ever wearing these gdefy shoes if someone is stuck in a bad situation where you need to run away because you will never be able to run away from a dangerous situation if you are wearing these horrible cheap shoes. Again I say people should all go in together in a group lawsuit and sue this company before somebody really gets injured or worse
The gdefy company is a scam and beware!
