It helped me tremendously write work emails, business reports, and even text messages. I have more confidence in all my writings, and Grammarly is one productive tool I cannot live without each day. I subscribed to the Premium membership, which is well worth the investment. Keep up all your great work.
Even though I pride myself in my writing skills, I have loved using Grammarly every day since installing it. It is like a boost of confidence when writing those important papers and the responses to requests for information. I think I've even learned a thing or two from Grammarly!
I found it clumsy to use. Sometimes it would highlight the wrong place to put the correction. And I had to undo it and do it manually, so I had to carefully watch what it was doing. Sometimes it was hard to follow where the correction was or to preview the next correction. Sometimes it would highlight and sometimes not highlight the next correction. It doesn't like "Then". I had to change it to 'and' when it was not the best word to use.

I really like Grammarly a lot but the only two things are bad about it. One is that it doesn't work in google products I don't know why. It only works on mail and Google docs in a google product. Also, the second thing is that the tone detector is not there when you click a new document on Grammarly. It should make things better when you are not paying. They should add more options on a free plan. Personally, I think that Grammarly is a great start!
Grammarly has been useful to me and as I'm writing this review Grammarly is correcting but, the flaws in Grammarly is you cannot recover deleted documents and if there is you need to make it more visible. And I have to wait a day to get this recover so now my school work will be lat so thank you for that.
I hope you found this information useful and it will also help Grammarly to be more better I'm not trying to be mean I just want you to see it from my perspective.

Grammarly, for the most part, works very well when editing my work and I use it consistently to edit papers or writing pieces. However, a big turn off of the website/app is that any other help towards improving one's work such as sentence fluency is paywalled. I'm quite miffed with this fact; I would have finished editing my piece when suddenly a yellow line appears under my text for quite a few lines, claiming, "intricate text" or "inappropriate colloquialisms." When I click them, they simply prompt me to pay for the premium version of Grammarly. Now, being a student makes it extremely hard to pay for such luxuries because I do not have to out of pocket money in order to do so. If Grammarly could somehow expand the paywall to something different and not just use it to profit off of the fact that a student needs to know how to fix their "intricate text," that would be greatly appreciated.
Most of the fixes it recommends, I can easily find myself, including some of the premium/advanced ones. Overall a rather elementary 'grammar fixer.' Wouldn't recommend wasting money on Premium, and personally don't allow Grammarly into Google Docs. Why? It helps with spelling and punctuation when you are writing, but doesn't help with the flow, style, fact-checking, and all the other necessities needed to peer review an essay or report.
Otherwise, this would be great for a middle school/elementary school kid who needs to get spelling and punctuation correct. But Microsoft Word and Google Docs already do an ok job with that.
Wouldn't recommend to a high school student, and never a college student who needs good writing style.
The only reason I still have it installed is that I enjoy seeing how many words I type every week. It's a good motivator to keep me writing. But the real purpose of Grammarly isn't worth it.
This is just my honest opinion, try it out for yourself to draw your own conclusions.

Well this is what happened I wrote a fanfic on Wattpad and when I tried to write conversations in a normal way of talking but it kept giving warning thingys I was frustrated and annoyed by it and one more thing I really hate Grammarly giving me premium suggestions that make me feel like that I am making a lot of errors in my text but all in all it's good enough for me to keep using in the future since I make a lot of mistakes when typing things. And hopefully, I'll get to know about Grammarly more so I can write better...
Working as an RA, I do a considerable amount of academic writing, and Grammarly is a lifesaver when it comes to missed commas and other minor errors; however, there are some cons.
Firstly, It is very pricey compared to similar services. An annual subscription is nearly 139.50 USD, which is absurd.
Secondly, it fails to catch some significant errors. For example:
"If Conan O'Brien meat you, he'd eat you."
On the plus side, my Reddit comments have fewer errors, which means fewer Redditors PMing me death threats and telling me to kill myself, which is nice!
I have been using Grammarly for several years, with the premium version. But in 2021 they made the conscious decision to stop supporting the Microsoft Word Add-In and to switch to a windows app that works externally. This has been clunky at best and IT DOES NOT PERFORM THE PLAGIARISM checks. You now need to paste 60 pages at a time into the browser to undertake a plagiarism check. Its too slow and definitely not what I paid a years subscription for. I tried to cancel because of the change and they were totally unhelpful. Time for a different approach!
EDIT: They tried to contact me to make it look like they still had the add-in but failed to properly acknowledge that the add-in says its unsupported, not being updated and has been discontinued per their support page. Either customer service are out of the loop or they just don't want to acknowledge that they've deleted a star product.
Tip for consumers:
It does not do plagiarism check on the current 2021/22 desktop version

I gave it 3 stars because while it is great if I'm typing in something that has autocorrect Grammarly and the other autocorrect mess up my writing because there both trying to fix it
Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.
To deactivate the autocorrect feature, please click the G icon on the browser toolbar and toggle "Correct spelling automatically" off.

It is kind of helpful but it also makes some mistakes in its corrections like changing "are" to "is" overall it is okay to write with Grammarly for informal writing where grammar isn't all that important in my opinion Grammarly might as well just be used as a tool for checking spelling.

Appreciate the truly grammatical suggestions, but use of commas and failure to recognize uncommon but proper word usage is a pain. Being asked to pay, once or twice, is expected, but every five minutes gets old. For many people, however, will be a good learning tool, so good luck.

It's definitely good at spotting grammatical errors I'll give it that, but other than that its a pretty average, though Grammarly is one of the only grammatic checking bot/site (I don't know what to label it) so there's really not a lot of other sources to go to
The thing that gives it downs is that the premium plans you need sometimes for classes and they won't tell you anything! So if they made Grammarly one big free package that would be great but otherwise it is good does all my grammar! More fun than I thought it would be.
Tip for consumers:
Use the app much better than on a google doc

The free one
I would love it if the premium was free but besides that, it's not even that good, google gives me better help.
Yes helpful but not really necessary, just too many apps around and choiceS, but again thank you for your support
So Grammarly is an extension you can add to your browsers that works a lot like auto-correct on a phone. It's meant to help you correct errors when typing, but like auto-correct, it causes a lot of errors as well and gives recommendations that go past wrong, keeps going, and stop somewhere near Singapore before realizing it's a moron.
I think the idea for it is great, but it's clear that whoever programs it either isn't great at programming or they're a little too good at huffing rubber cement.
As a writer, I oftentimes think faster than I can type, so the result is some garble that sounds like your drunken neighbour Farbor after a three-week binge on rum and paint thinner. Wait... Is Farbor a name?
But like birds yodeling, it happens. So I like that Google Docs will give me recommendations for minor mistakes I've made. Grammarly is a nice secondary 'mistake catcher,' but some of the recommendations it gives me makes me think back to the time I got hit in the head with a hammer and called my dentist to ask for directions to The Gap. True story. Well, except for the last part... And the middle part... And the first part...
I was told the paid version of Grammarly is better, which is what I have, and quite frankly, I've found both the paid and free versions to be about the same. Overall, it 'can' be a helpful app for minor things and if English isn't your first language, but other than that, you might get further having your cat proofread for you. I mean, unless you're more of a dog person.

Grammarly only has one product, as far as I know.
I've used Grammarly 3-5 hours a day writing a novel for several months. My monthly reports place me 95 to 98% in all categories. I have developed a love hate Relationship with it. The synonyms feature is rudimentary in comparison to MS WORD which I still must keep a ailable on one of my five monitors. It almost always wants to replace my colon colon with a semicolon. Takes a lot of time figuring out whether or not to acceppt some corrections. And some are dangerous.

I love it but, you don't get a free trial and they have like this basic service which is great however they tell you, you have a bunch of stuff wrong and basically you have to guess what needs to be fixed, or sighn up for their "premium service," which look I'm not a business that I need to pay $40 per month so I just try to figure it out and yeah it takes me longer to send emails and letters but eh. It's okay, I guess it's better than nothing. I know I want the service I just don't want to pay monthly $40 per month for it. I'm an individual, not a corporation or I might feel different.
I have been using free Grammarly for a while now, and overall, I'd say about 70% of the time, Grammarly's suggestions are helpful. I do have one problem in particular though, it keeps asking me to add a comma when I'm not supposed to, and then when I add the comma, the premium suggestion tells me to remove it. Please fix this. Also, I would ask that you get rid of the huge number of yellow premium suggestions piling up on the bottom of the document that I know I'll never have.
A lot of other suggestions tell me to remove a transition word or a closing word on a writing essay. Like evidently, or, in conclusion, when I have to put those words in for the essay.

I bought the Premier version for 1 year. Good program but BEWARE. There is no subscription reminder provided by Grammarly as is common with other programs. I canceled the renewal on the first day after the new auto subscription took effect and it came to my attention, but monetary cancellation only takes effect at the end of the renewed year. And, so, I pay another $140 subscription fee I don't want with no refund recourse available. In my estimation this is an ill mannered way of squeezing more money out of customers. Providing top-notch support to customers insures loyalty, not such practice as this. I'm disappointed. You may have squeezed another $140 out of my pocket but I definitely would not go with the program again.
Update: in all fairness, after emailing Grammarly I was granted a full refund as a courtesy which is to their credit. However, such a situation can be easily avoided, making it easy for both parties if Grammarly would send out a renewal notification prior to the end of the current billing cycle to give a customer a heads-up to either renew or cancel.
I sent the email to mention that I am leaving from the current job. I cannot use the current office email. I changed my email address in the Grammarly settings, now my premium account does not work. I personally paid for the Grammarly subscription until June 2021. I sent the email regarding this for the support department. I did not get any response to my email. I cannot use the premium level even though I paid for the premium services. Please forward this information to the relevant department to fix this problem. Thanks
I've had Grammarly for about eight weeks now. The suggestions are helpful, the tone reader is interesting, and the extension itself makes you feel like your doing something great while using it... the only issue I have is that most of the good options are part of the Grammarly Premium option, an option you have to pay for.
Grammarly is great because it helps me with my grammar in my schoolwork. It can be annoying sometimes when you have a history article and you're using old language. Grammarly doesn't know the old language and so they keep underlining it. That gets annoying sometimes. But overall, it helps you with your spelling and your punctuation. It also shows you how your writing will sound to others.

Base line Grammarly confused my wife e-mail address with mine, trying to explain this to Grammarly is like obviously talking to a machine, consequently Grammarly wouldn`t register and I am down two licenses and approximately $500:00
So even though their product might be good, public relations is appauling
