Not sure why so many negative reviews - so far I had only great experience with goodrx. Best prices, better price than my insurance can provide. This is a steal!
To save money, GoodRx uses people from non-English speaking countries to work their call centers. They did not understand my basic questions and give guidance that was simply incorrect -- a true lack of training and incompetence. Also, GoodRx advertises special one-time pricing that simple isn't accurate. Please don't trust this company with your medication. I ended talking to my pharmacy (CVS) and they had their own discount plan which was cheaper. Thanks for nothing, BadRX!

I would recommend Good Rx to anyone and everyone who needs medical help after hours of normal businesses. I would even choose this over most medical experiences during typical business hours to be honest. Quick. Easy. Affordable. Plus they checked in on me after which I didn't expect. I love that the staff is knowledgeable and caring. I wish I could give them more stars! I recommend be careful and pay attention when selecting how you rate your experience after your visit as I assumed it would show the ratings in ascending order not descending order and inadvertently clicked on the worst option where I had wanted to give them the best rating possible. Definitely will use this service again.
Tip for consumers:
Anyone who needs medical assistance after normal operating hours or anyone who has anxiety about seeing doctors face to face. I'm not sure how much they can diagnose but I noticed a long list of other ailments.

I was skeptical at first. I believed that it was the type of website that says free but nothing is really free, you go and then see the cheap prices and it ask for you to sign up then ask for a credit card number. BUT NOPE it is not like that. You literally go on the site look up the medication, and majority of them has pictures so if it is for a recurring prescription you know what it looks like. They have the prices based off the drug store you will go and pick it up at, click that and it gives you the receipt for the cheaper price print it and out and go about your day. I was so stunned. I ordered my prescription from Walgreens and printed out the discount from GoodRX, my total at Walgreens would have been $41.99 (since I am in-between insurances right now this one is out of pocket I expected a high amount). The GoodRX price was 17 dollars I went and got it handed the coupon to the Pharmacist she typed the information in and was like ok that will now be $17 (YES!). I would totally recommend everyone try it, especially if you are in between insurances, do not have insurance or the medication you are picking up is not covered by your insurance. No need to pay full price when you do not have to.

I had a prescription that had a $35 copay through my insurance. I printed out a GoodRx Coupon with an estimated price of $12.71 and took it to a Safeway Pharmacy. They accepted it with no questions, charging me $12.72.

My prescription was so expensive through Medicare. My friend told me about GoodRX Gold. I m so thankful. I was going to be charged $118.00 for a 30 day supply. Asked Doctor for a paper prescription vs faxing to Pharmacy, so I could check pricing. Whoa, $30.00. Less expensive than noted on goodRX website. Customer Service is also great. What a savings so far. Thank you GoodRX!
GoodRX Gold was exceptional! It's the pharmacies that need to be educated. Initially CVS refused to apply the discount as they said my ID # did not exist. Within 15 minutes Alexis at GoodRX Gold customer service had solved the issue with them and my prescription was filled at the cost quoted to me by GoodRX which was $83 less than the cost at CVS without the card. It did take an extra 15 minutes BUT CVS says that they have the info on file for future refills so there shouldn't be future delays!
Thanks for the kind words! Not sure why the pharmacist was confused, as we work closely with CVS, but happy it got resolved. :)
My husband has no perscription coverage uses VA. At times needs antibiotic now. Used Good RX at Walgreens on Levaquin 750 mg x 7 pills cost $36.94, savings $174.00, that's amazing. Thank You GOOD RX
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with GoodRx! We are very happy to hear we were able to help you save.
I was prescribed a medication by my doctor that came to $213 with my insurance at the pharmacy. I decided to check Good Rx because I couldn't afford to pay that much. With the Good Rx discount the medication came to $45. I'm so glad this service is available.

Wow, the whole process was smooth and fast. I absolutely loved that I didn't have to go and pay $180 at walk in, but at the comfort of my home answered all questions on their website, paid $40 and had my prescription quickly, I am super impressed. On top of it, used their coupon for the prescribed medication and instead of $44 it after the coupon it cost me $11. I am very impressed with their website and quality of service.
Hi Na! We're glad our Care team was able to help and get you the treatment you needed. Thanks for trusting in us with your healthcare needs!

I thought I had good insurance through a Medicare plan, but when I was prescribed fenofibrate for high triglycerides I was shocked to find that my co-pay for a 90 days supply was over $100. When I went on line to find out where I might find a better price, I was pleased to find that same 90 days supply for $24 with Good RX. Thank you, Good RX.

My prescription was originally $250 with no insurance, then my insurance kicked in and it wasn't covered for some bizarre loop hole reason. I saw a Good RX commercial and decided to check it out. My life saving medication was only $55.
All I can say is thank you to the genius who figured this out and please keep up the good work to help the broken health care system in the US. Mahalo!
Looked up my medication on the GoodRx website, found a price at Walmart over $100
Less than the price quoted by my local walmart pharmacy the previous day. Printed the coupon took it back to the same walmart pharmacy and they filled my prescription for the GoodRx price. No questions asked. I am so happy. I am telling everyone about GoodRx.
Used goodrx recently for the first time and was amazed at how well it worked. Without their coupon the cost was $160, with it the total was under $15. Extremely impressed and extremely grateful!

Wow those are amazing savings John, congrats! Thank you for letting us help you save on your meds.
Every time that I have used GoodRx at Wal-Mart, they DO NOT honor the reduced price with a song and dance that it's a different strength or some reason why I would NOT Get the GoodRx price. Wal-Mart expects you to give in to their higher price since you are already there. I instead take my prescription elsewhere (Kroger, CVS, etc) and the GoodRx reduced price is honored. Again, Wal-Mart continues to be listed with GoodRx reduce rates, but don't be surprised if it's not honored. I have used GoodRx over the past 2+ years at other listed pharmacies (except Wal-Mart of course) with huge savings.
I ordered an elective prescription from my doctor, it was for 90 days and Walgreens wanted $1200, with insurance it was $450, with GoodRx it was $23. I want to personally thank GoodRx for providing this service but am afraid they will get hosed once more and more consumers use this service and the corporate entities change their minds about how this formula saves consumers money.
Hello Jeff! We are so happy that we are able to help you save so much on your prescription! Feel free to let us know if we can help you with anything in the future!
Yes, they did reach out. And LISTENED to me. I was impressed that Doug Hirsch, the CEO, took time to email and look into my situation. He offered me $20 in compensation--but I really only wanted $10--the amount that I actually spent over and above the coupon quote. And he promised to commend the customer rep that was so helpful. They did the right thing.
Thanks for the additional post, Janet. Appreciate it.
First time I tried it. Coupon was $18 for 30 days of generic Effexor ER. Got to the pharmacy (Target CVS) and they told me the GoodRX price was $55. Big difference--over 3 times higher. The pharmacist found me a cheaper price from another source. When I reported the difference to GoodRX, they confirmed that their coupon price was in error. They told me I could go back across town and probably get a refund for maybe $7. And for my time and gas expense--they offered me a $5 Amazon gift card. REALLY?

UPDATE: I sent a PM as requested by Good RX in their response to my post. They haven't bothered to answer.
I went to the Safeway pharmacy today to pick up my prescription. It was over $900 and with the coupon code it came down to $329. It was my first time using it but it is the real deal. For those whiners out there stop expecting everything for free. If you get any discount your lucky.
Hi David! Thanks for sharing your experience with GoodRx. Glad to hear we were able to help you save on such an expensive medication. GoodRx will always remain free to our consumers!
I'm reading all of these negative reviews and to be honest, I'm surprised that these people have had so many negative experiences using GoodRx. I currently have health insurance. As with most insurance companies, it doesn't pay for all medications. My Doctor recently prescribed a new medication for me. My insurance did not cover it. It was $297.00! There was no way I could afford it. I was upset and told my Doctor I couldn't afford it and if there was another possible medication that she could prescribe. She told me she really thought this would help. She then recommended for me to use GoodRx to help pay for the medication. She said alot of her patients had praised the plan ad how it has saved them so much money. She asked me to please try it. I wasn't feeling very positive when I took my prescription back to the pharmacy. When I went back to pick up my medication, I asked if they accepted GoodRx and was told yes. I told her I had no card to use and how would I get the discounted price. Luckily, I had a very patient cashier as she showed me how to look up the medication on the GoodRx app. I almost cried when I saw that all I had to pay was $18.37! I didn't believe it and she said if I needed the medication on a monthly basis, that I could use GoodRx each month! Well, several months have passed and I have used GoodRx not just even on that one expensive medication, but, others as well, and I haven't had one medication denied! I've even saved additional money on prescriptions that my insurance DID cover! This has literally been a life saver for me! One suggestion I have for those having a bad experience when using the card, is to download the app and look up your particular medication. If you find it, give the pharmacy a quick call to verify their acceptance of the GoodRx. Then, you will avoid wasting your time and not to mention embarrassment of dealing with dealing with the cashier. Also, you don't need a physical card or printed coupon. You can just locate your medication on the GoodRx app and hand the cashier your phone and she can enter the coupon code and group number right from your screen and "bam"! That's it! Honestly, it's that easy. This has been my experience every time. I've even gotten my sis and a few friends using it. All love it. So, I'm hoping that everyone can have the same positive experiences as I have. I feel comfortable in recommending the use of this offer. It worked for me and continues to do so. I'm sure it can for you as well. We all need to save money. This really has helped me!
Tip for consumers:
Download the GoodRx app. Look up the medication before going to the pharmacy. Then you will know exactly what you will be paying.

Good RX saved us money. My husband and I are both are Medicare and have several medications each that we have to take. Three of them cost $62.00 each every month. We usually ended up paying $221.00 each month for our medications. We just picked up our monthly meds and was surprised (and very happy) to only have to pay $42.00 for all of them! And a few even had 90 day supply! We did have to change to a different pharmacy other than Walmart, which was fine by us as Our Walmart is a joke! I'm very happy! As others have said, the Good RX card is NOT to be combined with a Medicare program. It is instead of. I usually don't do reviews, but in this case I have to say they deserve recognition. Thank you Good rx!
I had been using GoodRx until my Dr changed my medication. Even with GoodRx it was $400. So I switched to GoldRx and it went down to $130 if I use a certain pharmacy. I think the plan is around $6 so it's worth it. I have several prescriptions that my insurance refuses to cover. With GoldRx I save close to a thousand dollars a month so it's more than worth it to me.
I've always had decent insurance, but got a prescription from my doctor today that was not covered on my plan. I had anticipated what the doctor would prescribe and did a little home work before even visiting the doctor for how I could handle the situation financially. That's when I stumbled into GoodRx via google. I was a little worried based on some negative reviews that this was not a legitimate service. I was surprised when I visited the doctor today and he told me what he wanted to prescribe was not covered by insurance, but he would show me how I could make it affordable. Next thing I knew, he brought up GoodRx on the computer to show it to me. I told him I had already stumbled into it the day before. He said he recommended it for this situation and gave me a paper prescription instead of just sending it electronically to my pharmacy on file so I could shop around. I went the grocery store and used their pharmacy because it was on the list with a great price of $26. The normal pharmacy I go to had it listed at over $300. Sure enough, I did my shopping while waiting for the prescription to be filled, and was pleasantly surprised when made my way to the pharmacy to pick it up paying the $26 as advertised in the coupon. Thank You GoodRx!
