- Ordered 1 item: delivery was to be for 14 feb. Did not arrive, and no notice of any kind. - 15 Feb: receive a notice it will be received on 16 Feb. Didn't need it by then so i asked to cancel. "Can't cancel an order under 3 days of shipping date"- so my money kept by GB and the vendor and I just need to accept this. -16 Feb: will not arrive until 7PM. I'm not in the delivery area anymore, and it won't be delivered until 7PM, so no one will be able to receive it. They offered a lot of apologies, and some misdirection (reminding me how to prepare the food I don't have when I get it/if I get it) but at then end of it, my money is gone, and they don't own the problem= FAIL. The hardest part is when customer service drowns you in apologies, and "so sorry for YOUR experience, here's a discount to suffer our uselessness again for a little less money than what you spent before". At the end they're trying to sell you on a spoonful of excuses you know they themselves couldn't swallow if they had to endure the same incompetence they spill on you. It's a sales portal, and like many other sales, they're not skilled in customer service or ownership. Some of these well named chefs should be careful of brand association
The refund policy on damaged items really needs to be improved. I had a shipment that I paid for expedited shipping for my grandson's birthday. The order was shipped on Friday and was supposed to arrive Saturday by noon. My order did not arrive until Monday and when it arrived it was melted and destroyed. I requested a full refund. I was offered a replacement or a store credit but denied my request for a full refund. Very disappointed. I opted for store credit but according to my response, I will have to wait 3-4 more days until that shows up on my account. Again disappointed that my store credit should at least show up more promptly and not several days late.
Pizzas arrived on time. Still cold. Usually hard to get next-day delivery to that part of the country.
The follow up with my order not bring shipped to me. I was responded to in a timely manner.

Food was warm. It's 115+ here in az. We cooked all three pizzas for 3 people. Tossed out Most of it. Just can't eat that much pizza in one sitting
This order was a birthday present to my son who lives in Virginia. I live in Maryland.
When I asked him how the crab cakes were, he said "not bad." So I asked him what was wrong with them. He told me the crab meat was good - jumbo lump. See below for the bad.

The scones order from Seven Sisters was wonderful. The product was packaged well and the scones are delicious.
However, the quiches from Mrs. London's Bakery arrived upside down, broken, and unfrozen. They were packed with no freezing or even no cooling agent. We had to throw three of them away. I will never order from this bakery again.
Cake wash smashed. I reached out to goldbelly with no response. I understand this could easily happen... but a reply from customer service would have been nice.
Almost nothing. The Brunswick stew was inedible. It tasted like vinegar. I bet you won't share this. I would still recommend Goldbelly somewhat because they have other good stuff. Also by the time I got home from work the stew was getting warm on my doorstep. Also so much packaging and it still doesn't stay frozen.

Goldbelly put two separate orders/deliveries under one order number #*******. The first one arrived as expected (FedEx tracking ************** - 2 pies from Grand Traverse Pie Co) on July 2. The second order (FedEx tracking ************** - 2 pies from Grand Traverse) never arrived. FedEx texted me on July 6 that the 560 package was damaged and returned to sender. I have not heard anything from Goldbelly about the status of the replacement or a credit.
Timely delivery is good but FeDex needs to greatly improve their handling. First purchase through Goldbelly was Eli cheesecake from Chicago for my son's BD. It was delivered lopsided on its side! My son nevertheless was thankful and ate it but I am not happy at all. You nay have amazing foods available but if it's mishandled during shipping, what's the point of your business strategy? Disfigured cheesecake for 69 dollars? I don't think so!
In general, I like the site. It has some nostalgic items and in general I think the service is welcomed. My only issue is the way they handle their product reviews. You have to submit the review to them for them to review it before they post it. So essentially, they curate the reviews and only post positive snippets for their vendors. I think that is wrong to protect the merchants like that, especially when a good portion of their items costs over $100.
Receiving wonderful products at my driveway in the middle of nowhere is a great concept. When things didn't go as planned, customer service credited my account. Thank you!
I have 2 comments. The pickles I received were not half sour pickles as seen in the picture. So, very disappointed that I did not receive the correct order. Second, to open the bucket took a screw driver and a hammer. What? I was determined to open the darn thing. It was a trial. Maybe, dry ice and conventional packaging would be more appropriate. Placed 2 orders, simultaneously! Around 4/21. The first was to me at 952 B Heritage Hills Drive, Somers, NY *******. It was promised for 5/7. I got it on 5/7.
It was a tid bit warm (since the "ice" had become warm), but it was great!
The second was to my cousin, Phyllis Stockton, in her name or mine, not sure. It was a larger order, for delivery to 37 Freemont Lane, Coram, NY. Also promised for 5/7. She never got it. Both orders I believe were charged to my AMEX credit card ending in 7000, using my billing address in VT>!
Ordered two pizzas and it came with zero dry ice and as completely thawed. Fortunately no one got sick but quality was definitely affected.
Taste was blah, definitely not worth the money. I lived on long island for 26 years moved 4 years ago, this wasn't it

I have ordered from Goldbelly 5 times now. 3 out of 5 times order is late. Their customer service is useless. Never addresses the issue. Do NOT buy from them. You will end up with thawed food delivered days late (and not due to weather). FedEx 2 day delivery is how they say they send the packages but that is a lie. I am putting in a fraud complaint with my credit card company. Deceptive marketing. Does not fulfill promises of order. Basically non-existent customer service that really never contributes to email conversation and never resolved issue. If you want to buy partially spoiled food, go for it. Otherwise find another way. In past month I have started ordering from many of the shops directly and have never had a shipping issue. Bring Goldbelly into mix = thawed food that is delivered late.
Updated 4/10 - My issue at Goldbelly was escalated to a supervisor. My items arrived 2 days late (shipped on time but took 4 days to arrive vs 2) and was not cold. The supervisor offered me 2 options to make it right. I am upset that the special gift for my husband did not arrive on time and we did not want to use it after arriving 2 days later but Goldbelly did respond and made amends. I just placed another order tonight with them. I am crossing my fingers that all goes well but I felt that giving them another try was warranted. Thank you for addressing my issue.

The latkes were completely thawed out, I have idea how long they were above 40 degrees. We did not eat them
Easy to order, fast free delivery, fabulous food. This was a surprise for my Jersey husband located here in the South. 4th time we have ordered it. Always fabulous. My husband sent pictures to his sisters and brother. I believe they then ordered. His brother was trying for London delivery, not sure that was available. Great service. Thank you
Detroit Style Pizza was excellent. The crust fabulous! Pizzas were VERY SMALL. 9" X 7". I did not find this in product description so shame on me for not inquiring first. I won't make that mistake again. Expected at least a 10" x 14" for the price paid. Haven't yet tried the tenderloins.
