Glyde has a rating of 3.3 stars from 922 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with Glyde most frequently mention great experience, video games and shipping box. Glyde ranks 6th among Mobile Phones sites.
This whole process was extremely easy from beginning to end.
Placed three orders on three separate occasions on Glyde and received confirmation before all three being cancelled and account placed on hold. Sent a number of emails and even spoke with 2 customer service reps but my account is still suspended and I can't purchase anything on their site. I can only assume my credit card info is worth more to them than the commission they would have made on the phone sale.
I ordered six phones, all unsuccesfully. I did not order these at the same time, but because 4 times an order was cancelled (and I re-ordered again from Glyde) and 2 times because once I received the phone it turned out to be locked, according to AT&T. Very dissatisfied customer.
I attempted to purchase a phone via glyde.com and was told my account was suspended and order cancelled. I unfortunately referred a friend because I was so excited about this service and his account was suspended and order cancelled, When he asked why, he was told a third party service did the validation and they were so sorry to disappoint. End of story... no resolution or attempts made to validate account
This business appears to be in the business of collecting credit card numbers to sell. I cannot understand the logic here.
I've attempted three separate purchases with three separate email accounts, three separate cards, and I even asked a friend to try the last attempt for me. Each time, Glyde has canceled my order and closed my account after a few days' delay.
They have not responded to any of my attempts to appeal. From reviews, this seems to be a recurring pattern for many potential customers. Don't waste your time. Buy somewhere else, because they don't want your money.
The phone I bought from Glyde wasn't what I hoped it would be. It came with an off brand charger that didn't work, which should have tipped me off but I didn't think much of it - just happy to have a new phone. Glyde gives you a short window in which to check out the phone and determine if you want to keep it. The problem is that I couldn't discern the problems that would arise within that short window. In fact, none arose during that time. So, I accepted the phone and off my money went to the seller, within days it was shutting off and opening/closing apps and even deleting email at random. I contacted Glyde about my disappointment with the experience but didn't hear anything back from them.
UPDATE: I posted this review and as a result someone from Glyde got in touch with me and accepted the phone for a full refund even though this was months after the fact. The only downside, which I wasn't made aware of ahead of time, is that I had to return my phone to them within 2-3 days of receiving the return box from them which meant I had to scramble to find a new phone and actually went without one for a few days.
Hi S. C.,
I'm very sorry to hear about the problems that developed with the phones. We'll help you with a full return and refund. We've contacted you via private message here on SiteJabber. Please just follow up there with the order number.
Thanks,

This could not have gone easier. I will tell all my friends about it!
Like a lot of people on here I have had a near impossible time ordering a phone. Supposedly my account is fraudulent... when I ask for a phone to call to correct this and order the phone I am not given one. Should be as simple as being able to call and placing my order.
Hi Ricardo. I'm very sorry about the account issues. It appears to have stemmed from multiple accounts created on Glyde. We've followed up with your via email and working to help you correct any issues. Please let us know there if you have any questions. We'll help you get this phone ordered.
Glyde is an excellent site to buy from and sell through. The fees are reasonable to a point. Market price is off the market is the only downside.
In spite of the many negative reviews I read here last night, I still decided to order an iPhone 5s. Not long after, I cancelled the order as I wanted the iPhone 6. Cancellation went smoothly, as did the purchase of the new phone.
I woke up today to receive an email message from customer "service" that my order has been cancelled and my account permanently suspended because their software couldn't confirm my credit card information. This is the most ridiculous response I've every experienced.
I've used the same credit card to make hundreds of other purchases, it is a completely valid card. Even if the card had been compromised (which, to the best of my knowledge it has not), why wouldn't they simply ask for another credit card?
I wrote back to the company, but given how poor an experience others have had, I don't anticipate getting any relief. Never has it been so difficult to make a simple purchase.
Here is there response, word-for-word, to my request:
Thank you for checking on your account status and your purchase.
Unfortunately, our fraud software was unable to validate the information provided and could not process the transaction. Your order was canceled and the card used towards this purchase will not be charged. Any charges you see should be in a pending state only, and your card company should release the hold on the money within the next few business days.
I should let you know that we use a third party fraud analyst software that collects industry data to help flag suspicious purchases. Since our fraud software could not verify your information, we are unable to re-open your account.
I'm terribly sorry to disappoint you with this.
Sincerely

I placed 2 Google Nexus phones and 1 LG G2 phone for sale. The Nexus phones sold quickly, but only after I dropped the selling price to almost half of what I originally expected to get. I got an email saying to drop the price for a quick sale.
The LG phone I tried to leave at the fair market price recommended by your site did not sell for weeks. Again, I had to drop the price to half of what I was expecting to sell it. The process was of getting the shipping kit was easy, but the price I got was disappointing. My phones were in excellent condition with no wear and tear and your site led me to believe I could get fair market value for them. In the end, I had to sell them for half of their market value.
Great products and outstanding customer service. Great prices too!
I feel like I get a good value for my games and games I buy. Plus the fact I can get older games for gamecube and playstation without spending the overpriced value people think collectors would go for is great. I've had some sellers send me games two weeks late tops, but glyde has a nice tight system of seeing if they're sending me the game or not where they email the seller a few days after the shipping due date. I'm also happy with the customer support system who quickly were able to handle that I didn't receiving the packaging for a game I was selling. The only thing I dislike is how often they're telling me that the value of my games lowered.
Glyde is great, it's simple to use and very little hassle. Sold games, movies, cell phones even tablets on here.
A couple days ago I submitted my first order ever on Glyde.com - for a used iPod Nano. Entered my credit card information, transaction went through, and I received a confirmation.
Next day, I receive a message that my order was cancelled and my account was put on hold. No explanation given. And I was told I'd have to write them to get my account reinstated.
After contacting customer service, I was told that I would have to speak to their fraud prevention team to re-instate my account. There was no offer to simply verify my credit card information and re-instate the order.
The company apparently don't even have a system to verify credit card info real time. I'm pretty sure I entered the credit card info correctly, but even if I missed one number - it should have caught the mistake real time. And then why didn't customer service just call me and ask for the info again?
Ridiculous company. I can't imagine what customer service would have been like if I didn't like the product and wanted to return. Avoid using Glyde.
Hi Matt,
We've sent you a private message here about this hold. We'll help you get the account issue sorted out and your account re-opened. I am very sorry about the hold. It is often just a mistake in the payment information or billing address. Please reply to that message and we can help.
Thanks again,
Brian

We sold TWO Galaxy 3 phones, one with a cracked screen. NO ONE would give us anything for them and with Glyde we sold them and received $80.00!
It was so easy, the box they send you makes it so simple, you truly don't have to do much of anything except enjoy your funds!
This was my first time to use this website and I loved it. It was easy and they kept me well informed with every step of the process. I would definitely use Glyde again.
I sold 2 iPhone 5s. The process was incredibly easy, although 1 of the iPhones was returned to me with no explanation. It wasn't working and I indicated that when I posted the item for sale. I would try to sell it again via Glyde, but I'm concerned it may be returned to me again with no explanation..
Three out of 4 of my Glyde orders were cancelled within a 2 month period. Customer service takes to long to respond. No offer of discounts on future orders.
Hi Bill,
I am very sorry about these seller cancellations. We've followed up with you here via private message and we'll work to get you a discount or coupon for your next purchase. We also make sure that unreliable sellers are removed from Glyde. Please follow up there via the messages sections.
Thanks,
Brian

Answer: Glyde is a great companyi did have a bad experence with a purchase but glyde sent out a return label on them and i was credited really quick. When dealing with companies on the internet i use my amazon or my paypal so that way its not hlding up my personal account. At any rate my issue was the person that sold me the phone had sent me a phone that was originally a sprint phone but flashed to cricket carrier when i tried to switch it to sprint they werent able to program the phone and i was already a customer only they couldnt figure out why. When we were programming the phone it showed the name cricket as we completed a reset of the system. So most people these days they jailbreak phones or flash maybe another work at any rate your covered regardless but i would recommend
