I receive a gift card for appreciation. I try to register it and it said error. Then I call it gave me the total amount. As soon I try to use it declined. Call customer service was a waste of time. Never received it back. They keep trying for me to give them my address and other unnecessary information. When I keep telling them it was a gift.
I received a $100 Gift Card and right after I registered it the balance came up as.74 cents. I knew these scams are out there but you always think your protected. Tried to call and not able to reach anyone. Extremely heartbroken as I was going to use for much needed groceries. Michele Williamson
Unable to register card online although I can check balance by phone. No way to get help from an actual person whrn I call. I also noticed they commented under peoples reviews only to give them the same USELESS number I called that was unable to put a real person on the line

I placed an order on line on December 17,2020 to Gift Card Mall in hopes it would arrive before Christmas as a gift. Not only did it not arrive prior to Christmas, by January 1 it had still not arrived. I called the company on January 2,2021, there were excuses about the mail, and I was told to call again on January 6 if it had not arrived. I did not make that call. The card did arrive on January 11, twenty-five days after ordering it on line. I would question a business using that outlet as a means for gift cards, and I doubt I will use it again.

I was going to purchase a gift card as a thank you to a client and wanted to include a personal message so they would know who sent it and why. A rep at the 800# said there was a field at checkout yet I could not find one. I then tried the "chat" feature and was then told that is not a feature hat is offered. I explained that I didn't want the message printed on the card, just a text note included with the card or on the shipping label just as other businesses do. I was once again told no, only if I choose ecard option. I chose not to buy. Not too impressive for a client to receive a gift and not know why.
I have been ordering Visa Cards from these people for a few years without any problems until today. They cancelled my order telling me there was a risk that warranted cancelling it. I contacted them, but they gave me a vague excuse which was of no help. At least they were decent enough to reverse the charges on my credit card. I don't know if I will try buying from them again.
I bought this gift card online through a 3rd party company (quibids.com).
My wife and I were just cleaning house and stumbled upon the 25$ Chili's gift card..."Cool! Hey Jess, wanna go get some chilli's?"
I call to double check we haven't used it yet and it says it needs activated. Well I don't have the activation code, and I can't find it anywhere, nor can I find it in any saved emails or documents. I try the activation number anyway, only a pre-recorded answering machine... frustrating. I search their site and find a number. I waited on hold for 11 minutes and hear a click. My cell phone reads, "Call ended." I called them back. They instantly picked up and asked for my card number, where it was to, my name, the address it was shipped to and once I provide that, they activated it instantly (they told me to wait 5 minutes before using it.)
So overall it wasn't too terrible, but after reading these reviews and getting hung up on and the fact they send activation code and gift card to different places, I'm thinking I would like to stay away from this site for the rest of my life.
I ordered a gift card from this website. I never received it. Possibly it was due to getting lost in the mail, but it was activated the same day as it was supposedly sent out. Finally, the problem got resolved (I got my money back), but I would not buy from this company again. It was too difficult to get a resolution to the problem.
The card is really difficult to use. It's virtually impossible to use the full balance on the card because it continuously gets rejected if you spend anywhere close to the amount on the card. So you basically pay $5 or $6 to activate this card and then you lose a dollar or two that you can never spend. On top of that, i have a really hard time checking my balance because whenever i try to log into the website it marks my card as potential fraud. Selling pre-paid credit cards can't possibly be as difficult as visa is making it.
I tried to purchase an egift card through gift card mall. I am used to the egift cards arriving within the half hour, unless I post date it. This site did not offer post dating, so when I placed the order, I expected it the same day as the site didn't seem to specify when the card would arrive. After awaking the next morning and the card was not received, I became concerned and called the company. The company advised that it could take 12 to 24 hours to receive. Fine, I didn't mind waiting. It just would have been helpful to know before I placed the order. Low and behold, 24 hours came and went, and the card was not received. In calling the company. The order was "cancelled as they were unable to verify the account to protect from fraud." Although it seems reputable to protect against these situations, in order to verify the account (according to the representative) they would have had to call or send an email. There was no email. There was no phone call. To top it off, there was also no notification to state that the ecard order was cancelled. Horrible way to do business, and with that alone, I would never do business with them again. After reading the reviews of how these cards work, I guess I could consider myself one of the lucky ones.
Buying the gift cards was easy, large selection of store and online gift cards, and Visa & Mastercard gift cards. Low fee for Visa gift card. You can have them shipped direct to the recipient. I bought 5 cards for nieces & nephews about a week before Christmas. The downside is, well after Christmas, I get letters with the activation codes! By this time, the kids tried to use their cards and had them rejected! Also, I only received codes for 4 of the 5 cards, customer service (yeah, right) didn't get back to me for 5 days, and I'm still waiting for it (1/9/2011)
Most people have a Visa or Master card for online purchases or what ever, I do not, and wanted to do some online shopping, so remembered seeing these Visa or Master card gift card or pre-loaded cards at our local supermarket, so I bought one for a hundred dollars.
I then proceeded to do my online shopping which was a replica NHL jersey for my son for Christmas.
I went to a sight called overbestmall.com which went by the name of classyjersey.com because they had NHL shirts at abit lowwer price then what shop.NHL.com wanted for what appeared to be the same product. This was a chinese company located somewhere in the state of NewYork. Needless to say I was ripped off by this websight for 89.00 for a shirt that they never intended on sending me(thats when I discovered Jabber) and was horrified to learn many others had been ripped off too!
I imediately filed claims with the Visa card as most all Visa or Mastercards back up their customers relating to freud or internet theft. Boy was I wrong!
I got refunded through Pay Pal the full amount, but was jerked around by the gift card people. I used a pre paid Visa card that had a hundred bucks on it.The people from the card sent me a dispute form and asked me to write down my side of the story and told me to fax it to an office in Miami area. I did this exactly as instructed by the foriegn sounding operator that I could barely understand. Two weeks passed and I got a letter stating they never recieved the information that they requested(huh?)---So I re-faxed the items again, this time requesting a receipt that they recieved the fax and of course got nothing back. Again two weeks later I got the same letter stating they had not recieved the 2nd fax and this time they were closing the dispute------WOW!
I can't decide who are the bigger sleeze bags---Overbestmall.com or Giftcardmall.com
I decided to review this site next--beware of thoughs pre-paid Visa and Master card gift cards at the supermarket, they do not carry the power of a real charge card or at least the companys don't back them up like one that has a bank behind it. Thanks for screwing up my holidays Overbestmall.com and Giftcardmall.com you two are real sleeze bags!
