I'll never buy a refurbished phone again. Sure they replaced the battery, but the phone itself stopped responding after the return date expired, and I was out a few hundred dollars. Bleh.

I'll never buy a refurbished phone again. Sure they replaced the battery, but the phone itself stopped responding after the return date expired, and I was out a few hundred dollars. Bleh.

Tip for consumers:
Very nice people working their but the phone was useless after just a few months.

I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S9 advertised to be in Like New condition, however, the phone Orchard provided had an angular scuff mark (see photo) on the centre of the screen beneath a cracked screen protector. Orchard had no replacement phone in stock and eventually agreed to refund the price differential between a phone in Like New condition and a phone in Good condition but will only cover the $20 cost of the screen protector needed to hide the scuff as a credit against a subsequent purchase.

This review is only for the support given to an iphone bought from Orchard, did not get any response from orchard regarding an issue with an iphone i bought from them. No response at all. I would not recommend buying from this company as they do not giive any support issues.

I purchase an unlocked iPhone 7 from them. They sent me a phone that never powered up. I call their customer service and they told me to return the device, which I did. I asked for a full refund, but they said to me that they could not until the phone could be power on to verify the serial number. They were already assuming that I returned another phone. Anyway, after few days, I turned out that the phone they sent me had water damage according to their technical repairman. So, they deducted 56.50$ on my refund for the repair. They had the guts to charge me for the repairs. This is robbery.
In resume, they sent me a broken phone and made me pay for the repairs. This is ridiculous. Don't deal with this company as they say something but do another. Go somewhere else to buy a secondhand iPhone.

Purchased an iPhone 12 mini and selected the offer to purchase a screen protector and the "free" service to apply to phone prior to shipping. Received an email saying "sorry for the inconvenience" but, we don't have any screen protectors and you "should" see a refund in 5-10 business days.
Here's a thought... don't sell a product you don't have and if you really want to make the customer happy, send a team member out to go buy one an apply it quickly and update your website to stop this from occurring.
I haven't even received the phone yet but, I am less than satisfied or impressed with --The Orchard Team.

This is the SECOND negative experience I've had with Orchard. I purchased an iPhone 8 in like new condition. Within a few weeks, the sound quality became muffled to the point that I can't have a basic conversation on my $1000 phone. Despite having purchased an extended warranty, Orchard is unable to help me because they're not able to work on the iPhone 8. Not sure why they would sell a phone they're not capable of covering. Do not buy from them unless you're ready to pay for your repairs out of pocket.

I purchased a Iphone for my Mother in law, and it stopped working, when we took it to the Apple store they said it was previously bent, when I emailed Orchard, they said where it was 3 months old, and I did not buy extra warranty, I would have to buy another! Why would there tech's not pick up on this, and then not to help with it? Never again

Orchard is a big NO-NO if you are a PROFESSIONAL of any sort, and require a reliable device. Two devices I purchased had been Frankensteined together from spare parts, rather hopefully, but more to the point rather inexpertly, as it happened twice. I work hard for my clients and I expect to receive at least a bare minimum of service when I'm in a market. Orchard's customer service is what you'd expect from an unmanaged team. I found the staff simultaneously introverted and irritated having to deal with a live person. Doubly so when I started asking questions about the phone I was interested in. DON'T bring your elderly mother, they won't offer her a seat, and they may sulk and sigh at you (as they did at me), apparently for bringing an alien being into such a hip establishment. This company put me off both alternate cell phone markets and collaborative work spaces. They had every opportunity to deal professionally, plenty of motive to do so, but the joint just comes off as another "I'm hanging out in my friend's basement" sort of operation.

Purchased an iPhone XR NEW (not refurbished) from Orchards May 2022. Phone came with a 1 Year APPLE warranty. The phone's screen got cracked. Called Orchards re warranty. Informed screen covered under APPLE warranty and to contact an APPLE repair facility. Repair facility informed me I had a 1 year limited warranty, but only covered DEFECTS in the phone, consequently I was on the hook for the repair $259.00 plus tax (I am sure l can get screen replaced for significantly less.) I was never informed warranty was limited, therefore waived purchasing extended warranty. Knowing warranty was limited l was farther ahead to have purchased a GOOD refurbished unit with warranty. This option was cheaper. Orchards refused to replace screen as per their warranty. Customer service? Purchased numerous APPLE products from orchards, recommended orchards to numerous friends and acquittances. Taking, it all back. Buyer be ware!.

Purchased a phone. Let them know it wasn't charging - their solution was to unfold a paperclip and clean out the charging port myself. The website boasts that they have an quality inspection process and the phone they sent clearly did not go through this process. This company will not proactively refund or exchange the phone. Terrible customer service. I originally gave this company 5 stars and after 30 days this company is not trustworthy. I trust craigslist and kijiji for buying phones rather then these crooks

Seems like most positive reviews come from those who have sold their phone too Orchard and the other ones are either friends or those seeking a 10% off incentive. This is my 3rd phone with them and I am DONE! The first was an Iphone 5S and it started shutting off at 30%, would send tex without me even finishing my sentences... went in person to the store and was treated like an annoying picnic fly or just plain ignored... watever... exchanged for a new 5S and the same $#*! kept happening only my phone calls would switch to speaker or drop the calls... i had a friend tell me that the 5's are old and that Apple Updates mess them up so I then got a more expensive 6S and low and behold the phone is crap AGAIN... siri comes on in the middle of my music, the music keeps skipping to a new song or just turns off... WTF ORCHARD... NO REALLY... why are you guys so shady and lie to ppl? You guys hide behind your computers and give this fake perception that you are the apex of customer service but your more like snobby hipsters that are too cool for school... yeah Dylan I am talking about you... and hate to see customers face to face... well I am returning this phone once again and I will shout it on the mountain tops and too Better Business Bureau that you guys stink and are not honest about the conditions of your phones. SHAME ON YOU ORCHARD, YOUR APPLES ARE ROTTEN

I purchased an iPhone 5 from orchard last March. The iPhone initially had some trouble with its battery- it died within 4 hours the first day. I took it to the apple store and they replaced the battery, no questions asked. It worked well for the next few months, and then yesterday it simply stopped charging. I took it to the apple store again, and they told me the phone was likely fake- they couldn't find the serial number and they pointed out that the back of the phone was completely different from a real iPhone. Even though the fix was likely easy, they would not do it because they said the phone was not an iPhone. So now, 9 months later, I've had to buy another phone completely. Huge waster of money and really disappointed in this company.

Purchased extended warranty on iPhone. Returned phone with home button problems.

Orchard basically called me a liar and said the phone had signs of water damage. I told them that if it had water damages we got I that way. Who would return a phone for warranty it I had be exposed to water.

Bottom line is that they refused to honour my warranty and returned the defective phone without repairs.

Orchard had lost a good customer as I will never purchase another phone nor will I recommend them to anyone else!

I had ordered a phone the other day off of the site, I had emailed them asking a question, they emailed me back saying that the price was listed wrong on their site and that they had to cancel my purchase and that they could not honour their mistake. This was a mistake on their part, I had already placed my order and paid for it, they as a professional business should of honoured THEIR mistake, extremely displease with this site, will not suggest to anyone.

Ordered an unlocked iPhone 5C 16GB Pink in good condition along with Orchard care extended warranty and ultimate iPhone bundle.
Received a LOCKED iPhone 5C pink that would not work.
Orchard sent a shipping label and the phone was returned and confirmed received.
Still awaiting the credit.

Re-ordered an unlocked iPhone 5S 32GB Space grey in good condition along with Orchard care extended warranty.
Received a 16GB phone instead of a 32GB phone.
Options offered to return it or pay the price of the 16GB. Was offered the 16GB price of $345.00 whereas the Orchard site showed it as $320.00. I asked for $20 off the listed Orchard price and was told no deal. So I accepted to return it as those were the only 2 options.

Now, I have to take time again to get it to a Canada Post office and pay for parking etc. twice for Orchard'e errors.
Obviously, the quality control standards are questionable and the after sales service is not geared to client satisfaction, rather to trouble clients for their errors and then we have to wait on them for the refund credits.

The first credit is still not in and when asked there is no response in the email on this subject and I am still waiting. Let's see what grief they give me on the second return and stay tuned for un update on this company.

You can get a brand new iPhone 5SE 16GB with FIDO on a 24 month Pulse 15 plan. This means you only pay $15 per month for 24 months in addition to your existing plan. Total cost of the new phone only is 15x24=$360 + tax. This is a few dollars more for a brand new iPhone, so go figure it out yourself.

Will follow it up with a BBB complaint if my credit takes too long.
