ZERO STARS. UNPROFESSIONAL AND POOREST SERVICE.

ZERO STARS. DO NOT EVER USE GETMOVERS.CA. THEY WILL RUIN YOUR PEACE OF MIND, RUIN YOUR FURNITURE, LOOT MONEY AND PROVIDE POOREST SERVICE.

I USED THEIR SERVICE IN JULY 2023 FROM MISSISSAUGA TO KITCHENER IN ONTARIO AND THE EXPERIENCE WAS A NIGHTMARE.

1. The driver could not arrive at the location and cannot use a GPS properly. They passed by my residence and yet went 3 blocks away and called me saying they arrived. I was standing outside my building in the middle of the road to give them directions and they could not even speak or understand English instructions. They were unable to describe their intersection and unable to give clear direction in English. They wasted 40 minutes there.

2. We packed everything sturdily and labelled clearly what items are fragile, which side is up and what needs to be carefully handled. They did not even bother to see the instructions and handled every box very roughly holding anything upside down. Even the costly leather couch was very roughly handled.
We had to repeatedly mention for each and every item to handle properly or wrap it or blanket it, and they still damaged items. Our furniture was stepped on and broken. The broken table with boot print marks on top was heartbreaking to see. Why on earth did they use our furniture as a step stool. What professional does that?

3. After unloading, they did not unwrap the items. Also, they just dropped the boxes marked as fragile on floor from a height instead of placing them gently. We are yet to open all boxes and see what other damages has been caused inside.

I'm glad i did not use your packing service too. Otherwise the move would end in a disaster.

4. They did not unwrap anything and just left in a hurry, because they wanted to run before we see or notice the damage. They stepped on some of the furniture and even broke a tv table and tore a mattress. Photos attached.

5. After the payment was done, they just delayed purposely for more than 30 mins just to complete the time. They only had one last trolley with boxes and they took very long. So they charged me for more time.

6. They did not care to wrap properly and also did not use blankets for most of the items.

This is very disappointing experience even after paying so much of our hard earned money. On phone calls while booking and also at confirming one day before, you mentioned twice that you will take care of the items and wrap them with care. But in reality it did not happen. Everything was carelessly and roughly handled.

After making multiple calls all this they asked to raise a claim and after I submitted the claim with photographs all damages worth more than $3000, they rejected it saying you already signed a form. I signed that form for payment before 45 mins of completion of unloading as per their terms before booking. Now they are showing this form and saying claim is rejected.

WORSE MOVING COMPANY EVER

I have moved several times in my life but the worst mistake that I have ever made was getting this company to do my move. The red flag was there at the beginning when they were calling and emailing me to send E-transfer deposit. I paid $150 deposit for the packing and $150 deposit for the move. I was charged $190 for a truck on the packing day when the packers showed up in my house on scooters. Some guy who claimed to be the supervisor dropped off Home Depot boxes and papers for them. They brought zero wardrobe boxes to pack a 4bedroom house. The packers barely speak English and had ZERO ZERO ZERO experience in packing, I MEAN ZERO. We ended up packing our breakable items ourself to avoid a disaster. The packers labeled all the boxes the same "THINGS", no proper labeling of master bedroom, kids bedroom, bath, etc. All boxes labeled as things so my wife has to relabel all the boxes. Bedroom items were mixed in the same box with bathroom stuff. In one box with my clothes, they put iron with water in it and got everything inside the box wet. When my wife called the so call supervisor, he told her that it was her fault that she should be paying close attention to what they were doing. At the end of the day, half of my stuffs were left unpacked. At the end of the packing day, they gave us a verbal bill of $1669 with no explanation or breakdown. No written bill or invoice. They requested for a cash payment or to write my credit card information on a piece of paper to take with them. I refused to do so until they provide me with a written bill and no way that I will write down my credit card info on a piece of paper for them. They refused to leave my house, finally they provided an email invoice after multiple phone calls to the office speaking with different people and I paid them. The worst part of the ordeal was that each time I call the office, I will get a different person. When I ask for the person that I spoke with previously, it is either the person has left the company or off that day or in a remote location or has gone for the day. Infact in one of my numerous call the office, one lady was laughing when I was complaining about their terrible service, very obnoxious. I requested to speak with the owner?"Ken", never happened. I was told he will call me back, still waiting after more than a week.
Moving day was the same ordeal, they showed up in trailer hitched on 4X4 truck. The first 30minutes were spent arguing with them because they wanted to load the boxes first and my furnitures at the end but I wanted them to load my most needed items first. We were told that they will leave if we persist so we lent them do it their way. They were able to move all my stuffs and completed the job at 1am, total of 14hrs. Requested to be paid before off loading my stuffs, we paid them. I have been calling and emailing them to send me receipt/invoice of my payment, they have not responded to my request. I called 4times today, no one answered my call and no one returned the messages I left for them to call me back.
I have to admit that the movers did a fairly good job even though they were very unprofessional and argumentative.
I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM. They made me feel as if it was my fault giving them a job to do. I believe they take moving jobs and use subcontractor with no experience for the job.
I will continue to wait for the invoice of the move that I paid for more than one week ago
