I received a notice from administrative concepts inc, saying they will not pay for my hospital bill in Albuquerque new Mexico Presbyterian hospital. I am having issues having anything covered by Getmecare health plan. I am started my policy in August 2020. I called a couple of times and talked to customer service regarding issues I am having with Getmecare health plan. I went to the hospital in 2020 in new mexico. I paid for several things myself. I keep calling and felt like I am not getting any help regarding my plan. I have law enforcement and other people watching and can testify I have called for help regarding my coverage. I had a customer service representative tell me the bills were not submitted to the insurance company. Then I called and talked to them about radiology.
I need to know why Getmecare health plan is not covering all my doctor bills, and hospital bills. I pay over $200.00 a month and also was paying for life insurance. I cancelled my life insurance policy. I have Getmecare health plan deducted each month from my checking account and I am not getting any coverage for my hospital bills in Albuquerque New Mexico. I have other bills that were not paid for. I emailed the company and within one or two minutes I had a phone call from a number I have never seen before. Then I received an email saying they will forward my complaint to the right department.
I am confused. When I first contacted Getmecare health plan about insurance coverage in another state. The female customer service representative said they can not cover me in the state I live in now, however they will cover new Mexico. So I signed up for other insurances so I can get coverage for the state I am in. Then Getmecare health plan sends me a explanation of benefits in the mail stating that they covered one bill from the state I currently live in at a different hospital.
However they will not cover my bills from Albuquerque new Mexico.(This is according to explanation of benefits they sent me in the mail.) They did pay for a radiology bill after I paid for it, that was it. Now I have to call radiology in Albuquerque new mexico and explain to them that I paid for the radiology bill first in 2020 and then the insurance company paid for the bill after I did.
I talked to a female customer service representative from Getmecare insurance company in 2020 and talked to them about paying the radiology bill because the hospital in Albuquerque New Mexico sent my radiology bill to a collection agency. Radiology in Albuquerque New mexico did not hear from insurance company and I was tired of waiting, so I paid for it.
Getmecare is not a reliable source. I am cancelling my insurance policy this year.
I just received an email saying from Amanda Flores customer service department that says that there is no benefit on my policy for radiology.
If there is no benefit, then why did Get me care pay for my radiology bill after I did?
This company also goes by Tobias and associates
I was not satisfied with the healthcare plan my wife and I had so I got on the site for Obamacare. Iwas transferred toan insurance broker by the name of Daniel Colongne. He was very polite and explained to me about the open enrollment period and that not be able to sign up until that time came. In the meantime he suggested a short term plan that he said was much better than what I had, which was probably true. I had reservations however about making changes without speaking to my wife, and in the end decided not to rush things. The following day we received a call from Daniel at which time we informed him that our old insurance company had already taken our sept. Premium out of our account. My wife and I were both of the opinion that if we began coverage in October that we would not be charged a premium through this new company, Get necare, until October when our coverage would start. Perhaps there was some misunderstanding between us on this point. What there is no mistaking is that mr Colongne reiterated several times that I could cancel this policy at any time for whatever reason within 30 days. Iwas also told I would have no problem contacting them should any questions arrise. Well surprise, surprise. The following day a new premium was taken out of my account. No problem, I thought, Ill just call the number he gave me and clear this up.So I called. Several times. The usual response was a taped message saying how my business was so important to them asking me tol leave a message after the ' beep'., which never came. Instead I was disconnected. This happened several times. So I got on line and looked up the direct number for Getmehealthcare. I again got the same recording and the same result, but I kept trying. Eventually I got through to a person named Zachary who I explained the situation to. He said the only thing I could do was to cancel the policy. I informed him I would talk to my wife and Get back to him. After talking things over with her, and reading some less than stellar reveiws about this company online, I decided to try getting a local broker who we could both meet face to face, as well as go to directly. So now I only needed to cancel this policy. Again I had trouble getting through to anyone until I got somewhat nasty asking for a return call. Finally Mr Colonge did call me back. However now he claimed I was told I could make 'changes' to the policy within 30 days, He told me I could cancel Nov. And Dec. But I was not going to get my money back for October! Please bear in mind I am writing this on Sept. 11.So as you can plainly tell, I've used no coverage on this plan. I'm ashamed to say we got into a rather heated argument, during which at one point he claimed I was not being honest when I said I was unaware that I would be paying a month in advance. He claimed to have done me a great service and that I had somehow basically gotten a ' bee in my bonnet' and was simply looking for a way out. Long story short, I informed him that I was going to call the better business bureau and ended our conversation. A short time later I got a call from Zachary at the office ofGetmehealthcare and we discussed what had gone on.He has assured me that I will get a refund in 10 to 12 business days, and I hope that this is the case. I can only say that from my experience the negative reveiws are on par wiyh what I've seen. This is not the first time an agent has told me I have a right to cancel a policy for any reason wiyhin thirty days, so I believe it to be fact. It just seems to me that once money changes hands you'll really find out, perhaps to late, what you actually bought. This is exactly the reason I've decided to seek a local agent I suggest you do the same
