Not pleased that the colors I wanted were not available, They are not as loud as the website states they are. I honestly don't believe that IF anyone heard it, they would think it was a child's toy instead of true safety device for women. However I guess it is better than nothing
Great personal safety device. Our employees were very appreciative about our company caring about their safety while working and on their non-working time. The strobe light was a great feature. I would have liked that the Hootie to be louder than 130db.
These are Christmas gifts for family and friends. Hoping they love them and that the Hootie alarm will offer each of them an added sense of security. I liked the choice of colors, the price, and the shipping was fast.
These are handy little safety devices (fortunately I've not needed to use mine yet and I hope I won't need to). I like that they aren't 'stun' devices, because we have grandchildren who are very curious, so they are a good choice for Moms and Grandmoms around young children.

I bought one for myself and several other friends. So far everyone loves theirs. We have tried other bulkier hooter-like things, but they were just too big to carry all the time. One friend walks her dog and was very please at being able to attach it to her belt.
Delivery was prompt, I ordered them to be delivered to Canada so paid about seven dollars each for duty. They are Christmas gift so we haven't tried them yet.
Glad I purchased it for my family members, but grateful no one has needed it. I tried it out and it is loud but someone said that they could not have heard it if they had been in their house. But that person doesn't have the best of hearing anyway.
I was quite surprised at the efficacy of the delivery and quality of the product that I received. Hopefully, my loved ones and I will not need to use this personal alarm however I feel assured that we'll be ready if something terrible would transpire. They arrived quickly and work as disproved. Just wish it was even louder. It could never be to loud to protect the ladies in my family. Got them for sisters and nieces. Will be ordering more as I have more people I want to protect
I got 3 Hooties, one for myself, my husband, and my daughter - we all love them! Hoping we never need to pull that top off but it feels really good to know our Hooties are with us and ready to blast if need be!
The colors I wanted were not in stock, purple and white. I was unable to check out for days because the continue to shipping button would not work. Problem was resolved after I emailed for help.
I ordered four Hootie personal alarms and did receive notification when they shipped. My package arrived as expected but the quantity was off - I ordered 4 and received 3. I talked to Sarah in customer service and she refunded the fourth as it was a Christmas gift and there wasn't time to get another product here on time. So I am satisfied how the problem was resolved.

I was somewhat disappointed at the noise level that the Hootie achieves, i expected a higher sound or at least an ever increasing noise factor... i used it at a shopping center parking lot and hardly anyone look my way...
I have not used the Hootie because I gave them to family members and think they are great for safety because the all the crime issues circulating around our country.
I purchased 3 of these for myself and two daughters but after testing one out, was very disappointed. The sound wasn't as loud as i thought it would be and the light was probably the most disappointing of all.
I have not had any bad experiences with using the Hootie. It really gives off quite a loud alarm. But, there have been no instances where I have had to use it, but, I am sure if using it, would scare off anyone wanting to do harm!
I am happy with my hoodie. I feel a lot safer having this device on me. With pepper spray if the wind blows toward you it will hit you instead of the attacker. I would rather use the hoodie, it is safer.

The booties alarm is discrete and loud. A good deterrent if you feel safe refusing. Your safety is more important than almost all possessions, however.
