FRIENDS PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY HUUSK KNIVES
July 16, 2021

FRIENDS, PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY
HUUSK KNIVES ARE OWNED BY EKOMLITA UAB FROM LITHUANIA.

I am in two minds on how to write this review.

Being an Award-Winning Business Owner myself, I know what it takes to give Unconditional, No Excuse, Honest Customer Service.

You Do Not!

First of all, I am so mad and extremely upset at the completely Deceptive, Dishonest and Unprofessional way you handle your business. You obviously don't know this, but please listen carefully because I am only going to tell you this once.

We Customers, are Not as stupid as you think we are.
First, you intentionally deceive us by telling us that your knives are Hand-Made in Japan by Japanese Sword Makers (False), they are mass-produced in China by CNC machine punching which is inexcusable by itself.

Secondly, you then proceed to defraud us out of extra money that you have not earned and you should be absolutely ashamed of yourself. You planned and designed your payment process so that we could not see our order summary before we pay, which means we can not correct any of the errors that you purposely planned for us to make. We could not even go back to the original order before we paid.

For example, I ordered one knife and yet when I got my credit card bill there were 5 knives on the order, which I did not ever click on and I know you know this because in your FAQ's there's a question about ordering 5 knives by mistake.

As you know, It's not a mistake at all is it, because that's how you planned it, it gets you extra money. If you were really concerned about us customers as you say, Why would you intentionally allow this deceptive design on your website to continue when customers keep telling you about this deception.
Then you compound the problem more by choosing to totally ignore us by Not replying to any cries for help and support when we email and phone you.
You have Lied to us all from the very start, by promising to deliver a product which you claimed in your video is hand made in Japan by a Japanese Samurai Sword maker, which takes 132 steps and 2 months to create each knife, which it is Not!

Your knives are mass-produced in China by the thousands, just have a look online, Ali Express has pages of these cheap knives for approx $7 to $15, or Amazon where they sell under the name Viking Knives.

You are so gutless and weak because you go into hiding on purpose and refuse to answer any of the emails that myself and other customers have repeatedly sent to you, in my case I sent you 23 emails to all 4 of your different email addresses and you could not even be bothered to reply to me, not even once.
You never answered your phone calls. I suppose I wouldn't want to answer the huge number of customers complaints either after what you have done to us.
Just have a look on TrustPilot and Scam Advisor at the huge number of customers who have complained to you about your deceptive sales practices, customers who never received their knives just like myself, who has been waiting 12 weeks so far.

In my opinion, you are a disgusting and dishonest company that intentionally deceives and defrauds us out of extra money. I don't know how you can even live with yourself, so go and enjoy your ill-gotten gains because when you intentionally deceive and defraud good people who honestly tried to support you in good faith, karma will always catch up with you and the consequences will be commensurate with your deception and fraud soon enough.

Friends, please beware of this company…
I wish I could have given you a Negative Rating because I would have.

Have a nice day… Not!

Tip for consumers:

BEWARE THESE KNIVES ARE NOT JAPANESE
THEY ARE NOT HAND MADE
THEY ARE MASS PRODUCED IN CHINA
THEY ARE SOLD AS VIKING KNIVES
These are Kitchen Knives being sold as Japanese Hand Made Knives crafted by Japanese samurai sword makers which we have now found out to be totally False. They are mass-produced in China on CNC Machines by being punched out.
They are sold on ALI Express for $7-$15 and on Amazon as Viking Knives.

Huusk Knife. My personal review.
My first test, which is one I do with any and all knives I purchase, is the paper test. Can it slice cleanly thru a sheet of paper. This did not. I tried several times using a sheet of printer paper (20 lb wt.) to no avail… meaning it ripped the paper instead of cutting it. I tried others, like cardboard, envelopes and construction paper. Same results.

1 – The Facebook ad showed a leather (presumably) sheath for the knife. That was one of the reasons why I bought this. There was no sheath included.

2 – Sharpness. Outside of the ridiculous portrayal of a heated knife slicing thru some item, my Huusk knife failed rather miserably. I don't eat tomatoes, so I did not use one as shown in various videos. I did, however, try an English cucumber since it is a relatively tough skinned vegetable. I was able to make an initial cut on the third pass of the knife. The 1st pass did not make any imprint. The 2nd actually began to cut the vegetable. On the 3rd pass, I was able to pass thru the skin.
I stopped there and simply pressed on the knife. From the ads and, what I presume are paid for videos, I should have been able to slice the cuke. It mashed rather than sliced it.

3 – My final test, and the main reason I bought this item, was to do a simple field dress of wild game and fish.
The first I attempted to use was a channel catfish. Since the catfish has no scales, I figured it should have no issues. The point of the knife was, *and is*, quite sharp and had no difficulty penetrating my fish. There it ended. No matter how carefully I drew the knife along the skin, it would not cut cleanly. I say "cleanly" because it *did* cut, with far more work than any other knife I have used for this purpose. Fail.
The second was to prepare a groundhog, woodchuck, if you will. – This animal was taken legally from a farmer's field with permission – Again, the point made a very clean penetration. Then, it became a chore to use. I had the same, if not worse, results as I had with the fish.

I attempted no other tests. The paper test should have given me pause. I have not, nor will I ever, attempt to sharpen this thing. It Is NOT Worth It.
However, a HUGE but here, the hole in the blade makes this knife a joy to handle! If only it did something – ANYTHING! – else.
My opinion? Do I really need to say?!
