Bought the whole Ge Cafe line in July 2020. In May 2021 our dishwasher stopped working. After 8 visits and 11 months we finally were able to get a replacement dishwasher from GE/Mabe. As a family of 6 this was incredibly inconvenient for almost a year. Then in May 2022, our oven stopped working, needing a new cooling fan. This went to the extended warranty with King and State. King and State could not find any company to service our oven for this repair. We now have a less than 2 year old gas range with two ovens that does not work. With only a fraction of the original purchase price being credited, we will be out of pocket for a new oven. We are being told to take the partial credit and buy a whole new oven! We are also being told to purchase electric from another brand. Now I will have a mismatched oven with very expensive appliances in an open concept kitchen. The Brick should not sell warranty's for a company that can't find someone to repair. A cooling fan replacement should not require a whole new oven purchase. I bought gas for a reason and will now have to disconnect my gas line to install an electric range. This whole GE Cafe line is expensive and is of poor quality. Expect breakdowns and stay away from this line. It is not worth the cost or inconvenience.
I want to give it zero, I bought a dishwasher May 1 when it arrived it didnt work, they said they could send a technicain in 3 weeks, he came and said he needed a part 3 weeks later he came back and the part was wrong, I havent I havent heard from him since he wont answer my calls or return a messaage. Called Custom service ad they said they wont deal with me because of my anger. Now its going on Aug. I think they should give me a new dishwasher sinca they ave me a broken one to begen with
Words fail to express how disappointed I am in your response. When I remodeled my prior home, I used all GE Appliances. When my partner remodeled his prior home, he used all GE Appliances. When we remodeled our kitchen less than a year ago we used all GE Appliances. This included the microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and stove. We have always thought the utmost of GE and had no problems paying the extra for the peace of mind and beauty. We have also highly recommended GE to our family and friends for their appliance purchases. Due to handling of this situation, this will not be the case in the future.
While merely an aesthetic issue to you, we purchased these appliances and expected them to last both aesthetically and functionally for many years to come for our dream kitchen. We purchased the stove for function and aesthetics. We did nothing improper while the stove has been in our possession. Imagine our disappointment when we were told GE will not replace the incorrectly manufactured unit. Unfortunately, this portion of our dream kitchen has turned into a nightmare as these issues do affect us.
Bought a washing machine last year
Stopped working 13 months later
Couldn't get anybody from GE to take a look at it
Spent 2 days, 9 phone calls to GE and total of 3.5 hours phone hold time with no success
Ended it throwing away the washer after 13 months of purchase only and got an LG one
Horrible company
Will never purschase anything from it
I purchased a 48 inch side-by-side built-in GE monogram refrigerator, convection microwave, oven, dishwasher, and five burner induction cooktop. All have been extremely disappointing. I did not want the water/ice dispenser in my refrigerator door. Upon delivery, I immediately noticed that when I open the door to get ice from the ice bin, the ice would fall behind the bin and then drop out and scatter all over my kitchen floor. When I called GE to ask for a remedy, I was told that it wasn't designed to be used without the dispenser!? I asked "then why do you sell a version without the dispenser?" and was told "we really should not sell this model." The microwave takes much longer to heat food than my previous KitchenAid convection microwave. The biggest disappointment has been the dishwasher. It clogs with food residue and grease very quickly and must be disassembled and cleaned after every second use. My previous appliances were all KitchenAid and are far superior for less money. I would NOT recommend Monogram.
A neighbor worked for GE and recommended that I buy my new kitchen appliances through their 'Friends and Family' program. I had VERY strict requirements for my range dimensions due to a compactor that opened in front of the stove. The GE website listed the depth of the range including the handle. I even called and spoke with a customer service rep and was assured that the depth measurement included the handle. So I ordered a complete set of GE Cafe appliances (gas range, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave).
My first disappointment was when they arrived and I measured the range. It was deeper than I was told. The measurement I was given did not include the handle. This meant that my compactor would not open when the stove was in place. However, GE offered a Guaranteed Fit with up to $300 to make adjustments. I contacted the company and after weeks of getting the run around, I was told they would not honor that guarantee because the problem was not with the width.
I went ahead and had all the appliances installed. Within the first week the door on my $4000 SS refrigerator was dented when I closed it using my knee. The $1200 dishwasher did not clean or dry my dishes even on the 4 hour cycle. And after a few months, I noticed that the plastic on the $800 microwave handle was bubbling up (probably from the heat of the stove below).
What really sucks is that even if they would make good on their products, I would be responsible for the cost of removing, returning and installation of the new products.
Stay away for this brand!
I bought a brand new washer from ge From the first load I did it whined like it was struggling to ajitate
When I went to fold my 4 loads of laundry all was ruined as my clothes sheets and comforter all ruined with oil stains I have been waiting since mid September for this to be fixed Finally my parts come in and have to wait almost another month to have it repaired I have had to lug my wash to a laundry mat for all this time All customer service can say is I understand how you feel. I tried to go to a manager and no help I pleaded to them to just send me a new washer I asked them who is going to replace all my ruined things they say they don't do that save yourself the headache and dont buy ge appliances
I purchased my GE gas stove in 2018. After the ignition kept clicking within the first year I submitted a claim to have it repaired since it was still under the manufacturers warranty. This began a two month saga of dealing with the incredible incompetence of GE employees and the first service repairman who came out to fix the stove. I'll begin by saying I found out that the model they sold me in 2018 was discontinued years ago! So it sat in a warehouse for years before it was sold to me! The stove is in a rental property three hours from where I live so each attempt to repair involved driving almost 400 miles round trip, tolls, and taking time off from work. After having to take multiple days off from work to meet repairmen three separate times and another day that they didn't bother to cancel the appointment or tell me that the part was back ordered, I finally got them to replace the stove. They sent the wrong parts to me three times and after telling me they had to attempt to repair the stove three times before they would replace it they then changed their story and said they could attempt to repair it an infinite number of times! Only after I told them I was going to write to their CEO and write about their lies on social media did they finally agree to replace the stove!
I bought a GE dishwasher at the end of May 2020 used for 3 days days when it stopped working i have been trying to get it fixed since June 2020 and still nothing a tech came out and stated that there dishwasher are designed to only sanitize dishes but yet it wont even rinse a single dish i can wash the dishes by hand and stick it in the dish washer run a whole cycle and it wont even rinse the dish off total waste of money never ever buy a GE product
I cannot tell you how frustrated I am with GE and their incompetent customer service processes. Fist 2 knobs went bad after less than 2 years of use. Too expensive to replace ($41 a piece). But just after 2 years of use, one of the ranges could not turn off gas so I had to call my gas company in emergency and they shut the gas off. Made service request with GE. On 19 March 2018, they sent me what turned out to be a completely incompetent technician. After over an hour in house, looking at his computer, he "ordered" parts necessary to fix everything (out of control gas leak and knobs). Today, the 29th of March, they still have not ordered the right parts and had to reschedule service. Technician coming in on 2 April but no parts on hand. Customer service is useless, you get the run around, and get no where. GE should be ashamed of themselves. If I could throw all their appliances out on the streets today I would. I will never buy GE again after my current appliances get replaced. Look elsewhere and don't deal with what I've been dealing with. Relatively new GE cooktop in my house but no stove to use because of GE's incompetence in dealing with problems on their poorly made appliances. Stay away!
Smoke and noise when plugged in. STILL waiting for a "PART". NOT sure that I want to even keep
This oven. 1st two repairmen came "yesterday", here 10 minutes. Was scheduled for 1st repair on
July 20,2023 but NO ONE came. June 22 to July 26,2023 and still NO PART and STILL NOT WORKING.
Very, very sad!
We bought this refrigerator that has french doors, bottom freezer, ice maker, hot water dispenser and a Keurig for coffee. The first problem appeared on day 1 of installation. Some of the styrofoam insulation was extruding from the freezer door. The door was replaced in a timely manner. Then the freezer door closed with some difficulty. The door slider assembly was changed. Finally, 6 weeks after installation, the freezer stopped working. A technician replaced all kinds of items and left. The freezer was still not working. A second technician from a different company indicated that the compressor was most likely at fault and would require someone with technical qualification to replace and add the R600a refrigerant. Apparently none of the local technicians have the tools and qualifications. Customer service was made aware of these issues and after numerous phone calls and time, have agreed to replace my unit. The only one available is a less expensive refrigerator/freezer. And GE is unwilling to compensate for the $350 cost difference. If I didn't accept the cheaper model, GE would not longer initiate calls to resolve my problem.
I am so sorry to bought this refrigerator and am particularly angry that GE gave me an ultimatun: accept our offer or buzz off. This is terrible customer service and for a defective product.
Our builder put GE appliances in our home, we had no choice. They were supposed to be top of the line, but in a little over 4 years I had to completely replace the dishwasher and then the oven started having problems. The probe housing was shorting and always wanted the probe plugged in. Next the thermostat would not shut off the oven when it reached temperature. During covid we had to wait 10 days for a service tech. That tech, over the course of three visits proceeded to completely break the entire oven, convection microwave included! It is a big dead metal box in my kitchen. He also bashed my pantry door and took two chunks out of it. He blew all 5 boards in my oven! 10 weeks of nightmare! What does GE say?... They are going through a parts review. Really? What the heck needs to be reviewed? Every time someone is supposed to call me they don't! They lie! I have already pair $400 to have the oven repaired and now they want me to pay a proration to get another GE oven THAT THEY DESTROYED! NO WAY! GE is not the company it used to be. Run, don't walk, away from GE products!
We purchased GE appliances in the past because we never had any problems. However, the newer appliances are no good. We bought a stainless steel french door refrigerator 2 years ago. After several months, the refrigerator started making very loud noises. We called for service and it was repaired. It started making noises again and was repaired a second time. Not long after that, the door handle to the freezer came loose and it was repaired. The warranty is now expired so we will have to pay for the next repair. We bought a GE dryer in Jan 2019, and within 10 months the drum had to be replaced! The serviceman wouldn't take the old drum so it's sitting in our basement because we have no way of taking it to a scrap yard as it's too big to fit in our car. We bought a GE over the range microwave. The exhaust fan worked fine but the steam from cooking got inside the door to the microwave! We are in the process of having a new door installed. So far, the only GE appliance we didn't have a problem with is the GE convection oven but that'll probably change too. I can't believe the poor quality of these appliances!
I did not receive the first part, they charged me, and rebilled me once I disputed it, the part we did get did not work, we sent it back and have not received the refund, I disputed the charge and they again rebilled me, I have been changed twice, one for a part I did not receive and one returned. They will not respond to messages with the RMA number for the returned part. I have an open case with the BBB and will be reporting them to the attorney general soon if things are not resolved. I would never buy a part from them or buy another GE appliance.
All appliances gets repair after 1 year. GE just want to milk customers and provides worst service and worst quality. Never waste your time and money for GE.
I Purchased NEW a GE refrigerator for over 2K after one year almost to the year the Compressor went out and GE Refused to cover it, The appliance repair man said the compressor was more than half the cost of the refrigerator itself. I can't Express how Much I hate GE and how they treat there customers. Please Buy any product besides Ge and Pass this on to your Friends! No one should go thru this.
A technician was supposed to show up today 7/1/2020 but no one showed up. The compressor is just sitting here awaiting to be installed. The refrigerator is not even a year old. Just damn
This company is a disaster. Don't go close to this brand. I bought a washer and dryer 4 months ago and still haven't been able to use it. It is a piece of garbage that I paid $2000 for.
Will never buy a GE appliance again broke after 7 months of owning it and they won't send a tech out to fix it! Never again! They have been rude and unpleasant to work with over our broken appliance
Answer: SCAM! $800 EXPEND IN LESS THEM 4 YEARS AFTER MOVE IN A NEW HOME WITH GE APPLIANCES-GARB COMPACTER, ICE MAKER AND NOW, THE WATER FILTER HEAD... PURE SCAM... PRODUCTS ARE MADE TO BREAK!
Answer: Yes. I have repeatedly experienced this problem for the past 5 years on my 5 year old GE Refrigerator. Using your fist or a mallet, strongly tap on the fan's surround to break ice free. It will quiet down. However, a quality appliance would not require this type of user intervention. If it makes you feel better, I built a new house with all new GE appliances ( because we liked the slate color) and every single one has issues and has been a profound disappointment. NEVER NEVER NEVER buy GE. We learned the hard way.
Answer: I sure would entertain joining such an endeavor! They deserve to get a kick in the ass if you ask me.
