I had 4 Samsung S10 5G and the offered me $259 for like new so I sent one in and got the 259. Decided to send in the other 3 got $259 for one the other one which is in great condition the said phone was in terrible condition and the third they told me I sent in a S10 instead of my S10 5G 256GB and the are offering me $108 for it. I sent in 3 same phones all same colors and model and they are tryimg to steal my phone. I requested the one they offered $80 sent back to me but I am affraid to request the other one back because that is not what I sent in. And the worst part about it I ahad already sent in some more S10+ 512GB so who knows now whatbthey are going to say I sent in.
These people cannot be trusted and their website keeps askimg me to change my password at least twice per week. I am sorry I never read these reviews before I decided to do business with them.
Please stay away from this company do business with someone else and if you send in your phone take photos of the phone along with the imei for your records you will thank me later.
My IPad has always been in a full case, and had a screen on it. It was only used at home and only at night when I was in bed. I wanted a newer IPad, sent it in to Gazelle for purchase for $120. When they received it, I got an email that it didn't turn on, it failed and it had too many scratches! I'm now waiting for them to return it to me as their Gazelles response is ridiculous. I wonder what condition it will now return in!
They do not appear honest. I certainly will never use them again and you too should be weary of them.
Gazelle returned my IPad. I was concerned they purposely damaged it. But, It turns on and there isn't a scratch on it?!? See the pictures and find even one scratch!
My husband and I submitted our phones (the exact same model, in the exact same condition, at the exact same time, in the same box.) His phone was received immediately, acknowledged and within a few days he received his offer (slightly less than they initially quoted us) and his payment. My phone took over 10 days to be received. It was a low ball offer w/them stating it wasn't the model I said it was (yet their quote listed the exact same model) and that it had numerous scratches (it had ZERO scratches). Using their form, I requested they re-evaluate. Never received a response. Tried calling (sat on hold multiple times for over 30-45 minutes each time). Tried chatting (worthless). Tried emailing. Declined the offer finally and asked them to return. Long story short. 3 weeks later, no tracking information, no idea where the phone was, multiple escalations. If I was rating my husbands exp, it would have been 4 or 5 stars. My experience says we will never use them again.
I tried to sell my old iPhone 11 Pro after I bought the iPhone 13. It as delivered last month and I still have not gotten paid. Very poor service both online and on the phone. Expected a lot better since others had a positive experience
I will NEVER buy from Gazelle EVER AGAIN! They sold me a stolen phone (even though on the website they state they do not accept/sell stolen phones). When I addressed customer service with my concern, they told do not buy from them because that is a risk I'M willing to take from buying from them. I feel like my concerns about it were not heard and they just blew me off
This seems like a legitimate business and they seemed to offer me the best price for my phone so I deceived to use them. However, I fell victim to a bait and switch. They also may have damaged my phone in the process. If you decide to use them make sure you take pictures of your phone before you send it in. They quoted me $494 for a perfect 256G iPhone 12 mini. When they received it, I got a message saying the offer was reduced to $205 because of some scratches and that it was actually a 64G phone. It took me two phone calls, 2 reinspections and me sending in my TMobile bill that showed the IMEI number and that it was 256G right in the bill for them to finally admit that's what it was. That alone seemed like a bait and switch where they were just trying to get me ti accept a much lower amount. I mean how does someone inspecting the phone keep getting that wrong?!?!? Then once they admitted it was 256G they only increased the offer $40! The scratches were on the bottom near the charging port and minimal. I have requested that they send it back to me so I can sell it another way but I worry that they dropped it or damaged it somehow during the at least 3 inspections. I talked to a senior customer service person who was not helpful and could not explain to me why it took so many attempts to get the storage size correct. I won't be using them again and I don't think anyone else should either. Their offer may look better than others but that's probably not what you will actually get from them.
Company revised my phone offer from 510 to 155 stating my phones condition was wrongly indicated. The phone I traded in was a very gently used Samsung S21. I chose to decline the shady swapped value and requested to receive the phone back. The phones was shipped back in a cardboard box with NO peanuts, paper, or anything to secure the phone. I am amazed at how horrible Gazelle handled the whole ordeal. Never again!
I was told that there was some discoloration to my ipads and they were not as described? That is a big lie. And I just used these ipads last weekend and they work great! They are out of their minds. Now I see why my organization does not use Gazelle any longer to see back our ipads...
How can you say a phone is 165 but then give 25 for it. I only accepted the 25 because I didn't want to deal with it. So if they say a amount don't expect it.
Sent in my iPhone X 64GB to Gazelle, they initially offered me $174.00. Now this phone had been in a case and glass screen protector from day 1!. In fact if I were to hand it to you, you would think it was new! I also told them it was a Verizon phone.
I get a response back saying:" We found that the device has more than the acceptable amount of scratches" WTF? I said send me a picture of the scratches, of course they didn't. They also said: Model Change: You identified your gadget as an Apple iPhone X 64GB (Verizon), but it is actually an Apple iPhone X 64GB (Unlocked). We discovered that the Cell Phone you sent in is actually a different model. Because different models have distinct values, this affects the offer we can make.
Ok, so I forgot that it was unlocked, so I go back to their website and configure two separate phones. One with no scratches and Unlocked, And one with no scratches from Verizon. Both came back with identical offers of $174.00. So they lied about the scratches, and lied about being Verizon or unlocked affecting value. I'm sure once people send in their phones and the offer is much less, they just agree and get whatever they offer... THIS IS ONE SHADY COMPANY!
In the past years they were very competitive and purchased quality iPads and cell phones at a fair price but in recent years they offer only pennies on the dollar which is literally an insult to the individual selling their item. The mark up on the used items they purchase second hand from consumers is outrageously high. The bottom line is that Gazelle only has one thing in mind and that's fast profit, they don't care about anyone or anything but large, fast profits! It's best to use a more reputable company such as sell your Mac as they deal in much higher standards and offer reasonable quotes instead of insults. I really don't see Gazelle lasting much longer, they've changed hands and their new motives are very transparent.
I have used Gazelle multiple times in the past to sell back phones and have always been satisfied. However, this last experience has been horrendous. I sold back an iPhone 7 AT&T 32GB for an offer of $72 dollars. A few weeks later I see they sent me $9 dollars. Upon inquiring why the payout was so low, they indicated I sent in a different device and it was not in good cosmetic condition. Both of which are incorrect.
1. I sent in an iPhone 7 AT&T 32GB. They said I sent in an iPhone 7 AT&T 128 GB.
2. Gazelle indicated the phone was cosmetically not in good shape, which is false as the phone spent its life in an Otterbox.
Hence, I believe they mixed my phone up with another or are intentionally being shady. I contacted customer service again and they said they were going to go pull and re-verify the device sent in. Not surprisingly, they have not reached out to me at all.
I would avoid Gazelle at all costs and will not use them again.

First, let me make it clear that I've purchased phones from Gazelle in the past. While their customer service has suffered in the last year (I attributed it to COVID and cut them some slack), my latest experience will guarantee I never do business with them again.
The following summarizes my most recent experience with Gazelle:
After several conversations with Gazelle, followed by two visits to Verizon, Gazelle finally acknowledged that they knowingly send out phones without checking whether the phones are still locked to a previous carrier. According to their customer service agent, Jerimiah, roughly 1 out of every 100 phones cannot be used.
Gazelle insisted that they were not to blame since they had "checked" the phone on using Verizon's BYOD (bring your own device) service. BYOD, however, only checks whether Verizon can activate a phone AFTER it has been unlocked. As the Verizon representative explained, the only way to determine whether a phone can be used on the network would require Gazelle to Do Their Job; had Gazelle taken the time to insert a Verizon SIM card before selling the phone, they would have known the phone was unlocked. Since the phone in question was an iPhone SE, and Verizon no longer locks their phones, it was grossly apparent that this was not a Verizon phone.
Gazelle offered no apology, no work around, and their customer service team made it clear that they were doing a favor by offering to take this phone back.
This experience has shown that Gazelle has no interest in serving their customers. I strongly advise against purchasing from them.
Long time customer... not anymore.
Got a refurb phone (fair), speakers didn't work.
They offered refund... this process takes 2 weeks between USPS and banks.
Meanwhile, I bought another phone (Good), speakers don't work on this one either and the phone has not been cleaned. All the speaker/holes are stilled filled with the previous owners skin and dirt.
Of course they'll let me return it but now I am still waiting on the first return to process and this one to.
The customer support agent didn't care. She simply offered be the bare minimum which was a return. It would have been nice if she tried to earn my business back in some way.
Don't use this company!
I sent an excellent Samsung phone in. They said they would give me 44.00, not much, but I said okay. Weeks later they say they will give me 14.00. I said send it back. I sent in the cord and brick which were perfect and they didn't return those items with my phone. Hard to resell without original equipment. They are sending me generic cheap ones to replace the higher speed units that come with phones. Cheap ones take forever to charge phones. Not happy with this bait and switch company. Don't bother, sell it yourself.
The worst customer service ever. Can only speak to a person during business hours and then they won't help you. Spoke to 2 reps today. The worst being Ryan. Rude, not helpful, not trained to resolve an issue. They do not have the technology to take payment on the phone. The first rep was not understandable. Maybe she wasn't speaking English. Said she was at home. They had no solutions and eventually the products I wanted were sold out. If you have hours of time to waste, want to decipher a strange language, talk to an angry rude employee and visit an archaic website that does not have the technology to tell you why your card declined so you can fix it... then this is the place for you.
I've sold a number of phones to Gazelle over the years. But in the last year or two their customer service has gone downhill and their operations have become shady. We sent in a phone in good condition and once they received it they claimed it was "heavily damaged". We rejected the offer and asked for our phone back. It has been over 3 weeks since then and we still haven't received it. We've contacted them multiple times and got different excuses. The latest is that USPS picked up the package but decided to stop scanning any of them so no one knows where the phone is. We are just supposed to wait and hope it comes back.
I even had one customer service agent that wouldn't even look up my case. Just said we'd have to wait longer because they are busy. Today, Dec 3,2020, USPS shows the package was picked up (Gazelle said Nov 25). I've already sold the phone to Apple for more than Gazelle ever offered. Stay far away from this company. They have shady business practices and poor customer service/experience.
I bought a phone that came to me with a scratch on the screen and it had electronic problems in less than a weeks time. When I called the company they wouldn't take the phone back, they said I must have done it because they check out every phone. Next, I originally bought the extended care for the phone. They told me the scratch and electronic issues would have to be ran through the life program, less than one month later. I had to email the company for life program, because no one would help me over the phone. It took the company three days to call me back and then they just left a message with nothing to help me. I've had nothing but electronic problems with my iPhone 11 Pro Max since the day I bought it and it was scratched. I will never buy another phone from these people again!
First time seller with Gazelle and not a happy customer! I sent them 2 iPhones in the same box tagged from Gazelle by USPS: iPhone6s and iPhone XR64GB. Gazelle received the iPhone 6s, which was not worth $, so decided to have them recycle the iPhone. The iPhone XR 64GB was worth $192, however, they are telling me that Gazelle did not receive the iPhone XR 64GB (same box as the iPhone 6s worth $0). Why would I not send it to get $192? On Gazelle's website the iPhoneXR 64GB sells for $409-$449.95! I have tried emailing, chatting on-line and calling *******520 and *******553 with no answer and no resolution. Pam L
I spent over $1,500 for three iPhones. When I tried to activate them - they were all under financial obligation - basically stolen, and now worthless. When I reached out to Gazelle - they said tough luck. I'm out GAZELLE LIKE THE PLAGUE. They are crooks.
Answer: No experience with that. Experience with their staff and their customer service, don't fo business with them. My phone was returned in October, and I still have not received my refund. They finally sent me an email saying my return was received, in December but tracking showed it received in October, and still no refund.
Answer: I would not buy from or sell to Gazelle regardless of what they claim.
Answer: No! Dishonest! Had to file a dispute with my credit card company tinged my money back and that took 3 months
