Gray market camera(s)
April 27, 2015

Bought a Nikon Coolpix... their ad did not state that it was Gray Market...
Thus no US warranty.

Long story short
August 13, 2014

Long story short. Don't deal with this company. They admittedly sell gray market equipment which they do not disclose online or on the phone unless you specifically ask. They sell items online that they clearly do not have in stock. Items may or may not be used. They have no intention of honoring their return policy. Read below if you would like additional details of my experience.

I ordered a white Samsung NX300M camera and a white NX 50-200mm lens from Gadget Circuit on July 31,2014. I was initially concerned due to some of the negative reviews I read, so prior to placing my order I called three days in a row to verify that they had the items I needed in stock AND that I would be receiving a brand new US edition camera with the MANUFACTURERS warranty. I was told that they did in fact have the camera and lens I would be ordering and that they do sell gray market cameras which they warranty in house but the ones they currently had in stock were not grey market and would come with the mfg warranty.

Instead of ordering the lower priced camera kit, I specifically placed the order for the camera and the lens separately to insure that I received the correct model lens, because there are 2 editions of that lens and I wanted to make sure to get the newest one. (Additionally, I placed my order with expedited delivery because I needed it quickly.) Upon intitially trying to place my order I encountered website problems where the shipping costs were showing up to 3x more than the stated price. I reset my browser cookies, used a different browser and finally waited a day and was able to place my order. I was even impressed when upon checkout there was a brief survey to which I related the problems I was having and the very next day I had an email from Mike at Gadget Circuit offering me a free 32gb SD card to discuss my shopping experience and tell their tech team about the issues...

Fast forward 2-3 days later...
I received my order and of course it was WRONG. First off, they sent me a kit, instead of the separate lens and camera which I ordered and furthermore they sent me a black camera and lens when I specifically ordered (and called to make sure they had in stock) a white camera and lens, for which I paid a difference of $200! Additionally, I am NOT convinced that this is a brand new camera... I called within 10 min of having my order delivered and was told that despite the 3 phone calls I made to verify this, they did not have the white camera in stock but I could just be credited the price difference... This was NOT an adequate solution considering the extent I went through to ensure I would get what I ordered! I instead asked for a return label for which I have been waiting 11 days! I was told that I would be refunded the price of my camera and the expedited shipping I paid and that a return label would be immediately emailed to me. I never received the email so I called again that same day and was told by yet another person that I would be receiving an email with a return shipping label. After a few more days I emailed Mike who had offered to discuss my shopping experience and have yet to hear from him or receive my shipping label. I will now be filing a dispute with my credit card and letting them deal with it.
