G2 solicits reviews with the promise of compensation, usually in the form of gift cards. The reviews are time consuming and the compensation elusive—especially because G2 limits the number of reviews that qualify (indicated deep in the legalese). So you complete the review and then receive an email that states, in part, "Unfortunately, your review was not one of the first we received and is therefore not eligible for a gift card." So they get your review and you get nothing. The process is underhanded and duplicitous. While legal it's certainly dirty. Avoid at all costs.
Avoid at all costs.
This company asks you to review a product you are familiar with, with promises of a gift card compensating you for your time. In my case a $25 Amazon gift card. But then a few days later you get an email saying that because yours wasn't one of the first reviews, you are no longer eligible. This is a complete bait and switch.
