Fred's is a discount chain found in a lot of states. They offer a number of items and food. The best thing is you can put stuff on layaway, and the prices are much lower than other stores. We have used this store about 10 years and have been very happy with it.
Everything in Freds is almost $1-$3 more than the comparable store Dollar General or Family Dollar I have found the quality to be exactly the same in these stores.
