These people are rip offs. I haven't even had my car 3 months, I've had nothing but problems. They are ignoring me now, because when it was in for service, the whole problem wasn't taken care of. I'm supposed to have a warranty from Fred Martin, plus the extended I bought and I still had to pay for repairs this place makes me sick. How can they rip people off like this. BBB complaint is next

These people are rip offs. I haven't even had my car 3 months, I've had nothing but problems. They are ignoring me now, because when it was in for service, the whole problem wasn't taken care of. I was a repeat customer of Fred Martin's (Barberton, Ohio) when I visited on 12/14/20 to try to make a deal on a 2021 Jeep Cherokee Latitude Lux (NOT the Anniversary edition, just one with a 6 cyl and heated seats). John the sales manager put together a deal that was a rip-off. Low-balled my trade (a 2020 Jeep Cherokee Altitude 4x4, Hydro Blue, with 3700 miles in showroom condition) by $2,000, and refused any dealer discount. Tried to make me feel guilty for not agreeing to the purchase. Went into tirades and childish hissy fits. After 2 hours of trying in vain to get a better deal, I told John forget it and he BANNED ME from the dealership -- told me to NEVER COME BACK. A repeat customer. So... the next day, I went to Diehl Chrysler in Salem, Ohio, who gave me a much better deal ($2,000 more for my trade and a dealer discount on the new Jeep) and I purchased a
2021 Jeep Cherokee Latitude Lux Anniversary Edition with a sunroof, 19" tires and wheels, dual zone climate, 8.4" touchscreen and other options... and I got it for the SAME PRICE Fred Martin would have charged me for their bare-bones Jeep with none of these options. I'll be going to Diehl in Salem from now on whenever I am in the market for a new Chrysler... and i'll enjoy NEVER DOING BUSINESS AGAIN WITH FRED MARTIN.

While being repaired an employee stole $2300, 00 that was in my keep. The police were called and there employee was arrested.At first they admitted to the theft, then after consulting there legal team the backed out of the claim. The camara was doctored. My advice steer clear of this business!

Their policy love it or leave is BS. I returned the vehicle on the 9th day to have it looked at for a miss and they kept it 6 days so now they say I'm past the time to return it. They shouldn't make false claim to give the customer false sense of security.

On 2/22/19 I inquired at Fred Martin about a 2011 Dodge Challenger they had on their website. They put us in contact with a salesman named Nick. We set up an appointment to see the vehicle. We set up an appointment to see the car that evening. My husband test drove the vehicle he had a little trouble when he first took off the car stalled. Then while on the drive he had a little bit of an issue going into second gear. We both just thought he was a little rusty as it had been a few years since regularly driving a manual. We got back to the dealership and began paperwork. We did not have everything we needed so we came back the next day on 2/23/19.

We got everything taken care of and took the car home with us that evening. We drove the car a few times over the next few days. We were having some issues with the car going into second gear. I contacted Nick our salesman on 3/4/19. He gave me an extension to call for the service department. I called the extension and left a message. I got a call back from Scott on 3/5/19 at 5:15. I set up to drop the car off on 3/11/19 and to have an appointment for the car to be looked at 3/12/19. We dropped the car off on 3/11/19 after work. I called on the 12th around 2pm and left a voicemail. I received a call back from Scott at 4:36 to tell me that they did not get to look at my car. He assured me that they would look at my car on the 13th. I waiting till around 2pm again and decided to call. I left a voicemail again and waited. My husband got off work at 3:30pm and he decided to call about the car. He left a voicemail and got a call from the service department around 4. They told him that the clutch was bad. It would be $1600 to fix. My husband responded that we had not even had the car for two weeks. They then told him that they would talk to the manager and get back to him. He told them no he wanted to talk to the manager himself. The manager called him and said that they would split the cost leaving us to pay $800. My husband asked if they did an inspection on pre-owned vehicles. He was informed that they only do a safety check. To us this was crazy as we had not even had the car 30days. The memorandum title had not come and we still have the 45 day tags on the vehicle. At this point we are unsure what to do. I do know we are very unhappy with our experience and would not recommend Fred Martin to our family or friends.
