When he answered he said "This is lawrence" "I am at a drive thru". I then said i can wait or you can call me back. He insisted on helping me right then. So i explain that i have a machine in ohio and it is being shipped to michigan. On the fr8star site it shows the bid was accepted on tuesday. He explained that it was taken on wednesday evening the night before thanksgiving.
No worries i understand its the holiday but i expected to hear from someone in regard to the shipment but have not heard anything from anyone except FR8STAR. So i have been in the dark since day 1 with no contact. So i had figured someone would reach out to me on friday but no one did. Then i check this morning and it has not been picked up and no one has contacted me about anything. Keep in mind the expectation that was told to me and is on the information says that 1-2 days and someone will contact me. The shipping was to be 1-2 days for pickup then 1-2 days for delivery. I chose you as a carrier as you were the fastest. I understood and relayed that i understood that it was thanksgiving on thursday to the rep lawrence. He just kept giving me excuses as to why its not picked up then started going on about how the place is closed and he cant pick it up ect... all i wanted was someone to explain what was going on. Not this nonsense of explaining all the excuses. Now there was some more conversation that i was trying to explain i was having concerns with no contact and the unit still being listed. That i have people asking me when i am going to do their snow removal which that unit will be used for. Then he starts to get all irritated and trying to say well if the machine is not paid for ect. When its all been financed and arranged prior to contacting you he was acting like he was going to cancel my shipment or cause issues for me. When i tried to de escalate the situation by telling him i understood what he told me and it was ok. He started yelling at me to the point i said i am going to end this conversation as he was raging on me and hung up with him yelling in the phone. Understand that i operate a professional company and have been put under pressure to meet goals. I expect that when i am told someone will contact me they will. When they dont i call. As of now i am trying to cancel my shipment to hire someone else though i may be stuck with you. I did not pay a premium to a company to be yelled at by someone who is too busy to take my call. Then get sub par and unprofessional behavior because they should have called me back. This is the first time i have dealt with core logistics and it will be the last. Your employees dont get to yell at me for any reason ever."
At the end of the day some communication broke down between fr8star, currency finance, and machinery trader. I am still stuck trying to figure out how to get my machine now. What a debacle.
