I hired a company through Thumbtack for interior painting Flying Dutch Painting. The owner came to my house was very nice and gave me a reasonable quote explained how the process would work he would paint the dining room and kitchen first in the living room and entry and then move to the bedroom. Unfortunately this did not happen he came in got every room taped off and completely turned my house upside down the workers were very inconsiderate had paint on my furniture my floors my woodwork he kept hiring young girls everyday a different young woman was in my home he spent most of his day flirting and talking and not painting two days he didn't show up at the agreed time I had an appointment one day that I had to go to so I was forced to leave one person here that did show up to help him however I did not know her he told me that she was trustworthy come to find out this was her very first time to work with him they didn't even know each other he was very defensive when I mentioned anything that I wasn't happy with like paint on my floor on my woodwork. Two days that I know of my water hose in my backyard was left running and excess of three hours they left to go to lunch and I happened to hear it running one day when I advise Dutch the owner he just laughed it off. One week later they had some finishing things to do and touch up and clean up Dutch ask to be paid so I paid him they didn't come back Friday to finish the touch up they were supposed to come back Tuesday I later found out Friday they were working on an empty house as opposed to finishing my house that I was living in did not show up Tuesday to finish the work and left my house in a complete disaster he took his money and never returned I have had to hire another painter Dutch collected $3,000 for a job not completed and in addition I will be out another 1500 to have the work completed. In addition to this mess when I became aware he was not returning I started putting my house back together I had jewelry boxes in my closet and as I was getting them out I noticed jewelry was missing as well. I have had to file a police report and I am now filing suit against him chances of me ever recovering my money or my jewelry probably will never happen DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY I'M NOW GETTING THREADING CALLS AND TEXT
