I'd seen an advert on Facebook, about a tv device, which allowed you to watch tv programmes for free, without any subscription to pay, just a one off payment for the device, the advert was from the USA, sounded too good to be true, so I contacted my son, to see what he thought, as I'm dubious of anything from the USA, he got back to me and said, he'd found this company based in the UK, he seemed to think it looked ok, so I purchased the device for £30.99, on the 19th November 23, using my Barclaycard, as it's safer, in case there's a problem with scammers etc, I received the usual email, confirming my order from 'Flash Discount UK' then all the emails started, offering me all sorts of stuff, which I wasn't interested in, so I ignored them. The emails then lost the UK on the heading, it just read Flash Discount and included Chinese Writing, I waited and waited, thinking I would receive the device in a few days, as I was told, there were 12 in stock, I waited and waited, days turned into weeks, I then got an email saying, your item has been posted, we will let you know, when your item reaches the country of destination, the email also included a tracker, to check the the whereabouts of my package, the package finally arrived on 8th December, it was wrapped in bubble wrap, when I opened it, the boxed item looked as though it had been kicked about like a football, it was in a sorry state, I removed the tv device, a very flimsy thing, like a Christmas Cracker gift, I plugged it into my tv and a usb port for the power, the instructions were so small and virtually unreadable, so l looked on YouTube and surprisingly, found the setting up instructions, it was then I found out, an app is required, to be downloaded to my phone, it helps to set the device up and your phone will act as the remote, after I downloaded the app, I found that, I needed to pay an annual Subscription so, I knew then, I had been Mislead and conned into purchasing this device. A couple of days before I received the device, I'd received my Barclaycard Statement, they'd taken out £30.99 on 19/11/23, then next day 20/11/23, they'd taken a further £12.64, which I hadn't agreed to and didn't know why, i contacted them, by email, they refunded it, without any fuss. Anyway, I packed the item up, made up a new label, with the Return Address on it, which was a UK address. I contacted Flash Discount, to tell them I was returning the device and that I wanted a Full Refund, the item was ready to go, I got a reply email, with the usual 'Sorry your not happy with your purchase' and could you return it to our Warehouse in China, I replied, I'm sending to the return address, in the UK, which was on the label and, as I was under the impression, when I purchased the item, that I was dealing with a company from the UK, as it had "Flash Discount UK" on the email heading at the time of purchase, they said that they don't have a warehouse in the UK so, all through the transaction, it's been a pack of Lies. I'm sorry I haven't got any pictures of the tv device, as I didn't think I'd have a chance of leaving feedback. I've enclosed proof of purchase.
