Booked my second trip via Fishing Booker after the first one went smoothly in Puerto Vallarta last year. I like that the deposit is minimal as I'm hesitant to pay a large sum to someone I never met in a foreign country, especially knowing that weather can change plans. I had a technical issue with my second booking, but a support person was able to resolve it quickly. I also find the reviews on the app helpful.

We didn't catch anything except fish that died when you pulled them up. I expected a professional. It was also inappropriate to have a big sign that stated how much tip was expected we felt like we had to give a large unearned tip on an expensive bad experience. They were nice people but catching and basically killing fish was unpleasant.

Booked with them for 9/07/23 and got postponed due to bad weather. Skies were clear and sunny all day. Next day they just up and cancelled due to weather again clear and sunny all day! They did refund my money but shouldn't a company called FishingBooker find me another charter as it's in their name. By the way, last year, it rained the entire day but we were fishing!

I was referred the name of the boat that I should book by another fisherman who was fully-booked. I did a google search and I thought i was accessing the boat directly to contact them. Unfortunately, I didn't realize I was booking through a third-party and now I've screwed myself out of $150 dollars.
Be aware! If someone else refers you to a boat/business make sure you go direct to them and not through this so-called service.

We take reports of this policy being breached very seriously, and we followed up with Captain John to make sure the trip went ahead according to our policy. He confirmed that you paid his regular price for a full day trip, which is also what's advertised on FishingBooker and his own website.

This company here overbooked a charter fishing boat that we had reserved to take her 13 year old nephew out fishing it was extremely excited and 9:00 the night before they canceled due to overbooking. The captain of the boat finn addict told me he knew nothing of the booking and he had a prior booking from 2 months ago. He apologized and said there's nothing he could do but we didn't get crap from fish Booker until after we spoke to the captain and they also didn't offer refund or deposit so I will never ever ever use this company again. They need learn how to do business and they're going to book fishing trips they need to figure out how to tell the captains and what they're doing.

We showed up for our charter and we're told the boat we chartered wasn't working and we would be put on a different boat with a different captain. The crew seemed invested in us having a positive experience, which was nice. Half way through it started pouring rain with lightning. The captain Suggested we go in early, so we agreed due to the dangerous weather. We asked for a partial refund and we're told since we asked to end early we could not have one. I even tipped 20%. Had I known they would lie, I would not have tipped.

In and out pretty quick and close to the shore. Despite the fact we asked for the particular experience and were promised we'll have a good time. Not to mention we were asked to accommodate their schedule with shorter trip then we initially planned. Felt like our trip was used just to fill the gap in their schedule. Capt recommended waiting a day due to weather which is understandable. Charter was supposed to be at 7a next morning. He then said 730a switched later to 9a meet time then 1p! Noon came around on Tuesday and we were headed to the marina and he canceled the charter due to boat issues. No alternatives our anything. Very disappointing

I provided an honest review of a recent charter that I booked. They totally whitewashed the review to protect the charter. I gave positive points and negative points to help future buyers know what to expect with the charter I chose. It appears they will try and protect their golden geese from posting the description of the review of anything less than stellar to preserve the symbiotic business dealings. - missed guides on same spinning rod on two occasions when running line and telling me it's ready to fish
- installed my ******* Stella spinning reel to a trolling rod with heavy rollers
- cut bait on back of boat where I was and cleaned it when I asked vs keeping it always clean
- the most expensive fishing trip of my life with two complete amateurs… $750 is a rip off!
- both captain and mate fishing on my dime & time to catch fish to sell at my expense
- my expensive fishing rods/reels were placed on deck not minding if the reels could scratch… I had to tell them to be mindful
- if this is not enough, I don't know what it is…

This company was incompetent and unprofessional in advising us at very late notice of cancelling due to bad weather conditions when the actual day is perfect weather not a cloud in the sky. I booked the charter for my 50th birthday travelled all the way from South coast nsw to catch fish for a barramundi a life long dream of mine. Very disappointed and would NOT recommend this company to anyone. They cancel at the last minute therefore did not have the opportunity to find another option. Very poor customer service and does not represent the Northern Territory in a positive manner at all. Totally disappointed and disgusted.

We can imagine how disappointing it must have been to have your plans fall through on such short notice, especially since this was supposed to be your birthday trip. Fishing can be unpredictable, and we're really sorry that the conditions didn't cooperate on your scheduled date.

According to the captain, your day was met by not just unstable weather but also very low tidal movements. From what we understand, this would have made catching Barramundi almost impossible.

As you know, the captain did try to make the most of the situation by offering you an alternative – bait reef fishing. The other party on your shared trip needed to accept the alternative solution, but they unfortunately declined. While we can see how this must have been frustrating, I'm sure you realize that this wasn't due to a lack of willingness from your captain.

Once again, we're sorry things didn't work out this time. If you'd be willing to give it another shot next time you're in Northern Territory, we'd be more than happy to help you organize a memorable outing.

Zero Customer service. Its all online and with slow response times. Confusing. Not up to date Capt. Information. They have your credit card and they Will charge it if you make a mistake or have trouble booking a trip which happens often. Stay Clear. No Help available.

The morning of our 2 hr fishing charter was canceled because of weather which was completely BS other charters still went out and the day was beautiful
My daughter and I looked forward to this as it was the highlight of our trip we are from Boston! Do not recommend this place at all

I booked a trip through Fishingbooker, what a nightmare. My Captain Jay of the Mariah in Kona was the
Worst. Please read his bad reviews on Trip Advisor and Yelp. (Fishingbooker hides his bad reviews at the end hoping you dont go that far... like me) Dont ever book with Captain Jay! I left a poor review, that Fishingbooker wont post but Jay replied with a whole list of lies. Thats what made me call the Fishingbooker. They didnt care and they dont care and they take down my reviews. They take down all bad reviews. They dont care about the product they are selling or how horrible their Captains are.
If you insist on using Fishingbooker, Do a lot of review searching because unless you hunt you wont find the truth on their site. I tried to give no stars above, but they wont let you.

Once again, I’m very sorry that you had a bad experience with Captain Jay. I understand that the inability to repost a review on our website left a bad taste in your mouth, so I will try to explain why this happened.

We care deeply about giving our customers’ a platform to share their experience. To do this, we send review invitations to every customer that completed their outing with us. Our only requirement is that they’ve actually completed a trip. This ensures that the reviews are genuine and that the review process is fair to both captains and customers.

As you might recall, when you posted your review through our invitation, it was visible on the website. It was only after your complaint about the captain’s response that we removed the review for you. Sadly, editing and reposting your original review wasn’t an option after that point.

We understand how important it is to be able to share your experience. Transparency is important to us, which is why we want to thank you for posting this review.

As far as the trip itself is concerned, we understand that you and Captain Jay saw your outing differently. It seems that the one thing you both agreed on is that you requested to cut the trip due to seasickness.

In such cases, customers are in breach of their captains’ cancellation policy, so they normally forfeit their payment to the captain. We forward the customers’ deposit to the captain, and this compensates them for blocking out the date and preparing the supplies and equipment.

Seeing as your experience up until that point wasn’t positive, we decided to make an exception and refund your deposit. We hope that you’ll see the additional credit amount we awarded your account as a gesture of goodwill.

Lastly, the quality of our product and of our service is a high priority for us at FishingBooker. When it comes to the quality of the guides we advertise, our Legal team conducts detailed credentials checks for every single captain that lists with us. Fishingbooker is a business originally owned company based out of Belgrade Serbia.
Buyer be where this company suckers fishing guide to compete and lower rates to unsustainable levels leading to business failure. Big hotels can do it with hundreds of rooms but check to check fishing guides struggle at regular rates. Fishing Booker can out internet anybody because they are good at that and they can afford Google AdWords and a regular small business cannot keep up the cash flow needed to compete on the internet.
Deposits are taken not returned Captains are unlicensed make for dangerous trips. Captains are unreliable and don't care. Book directly if you want good service and quality experienced Captains. Fishing booker is ruining the small charter fishing industry. They only allow select reviews on their site and they will not put themselves out to be reviewed by Google and the real world.
I will never use them again for fishing trips.

We only make money when a trip goes ahead and we've introduced captains to a new customer. If the trip doesn't happen for whatever reason, the deposit will always be returned to either the captain or the customer, depending on the cancellation in question and the captain's cancellation policy.

We never encourage people to lower their rates below what they usually charge – instead, captains are encouraged to list their regular rates. In general, we've found that captains who rely on a low price as their main selling point can struggle more than those who set a reasonable price and attract customers thanks to their great ratings and experience. Fishing Booker doesn't provide all the reviews of the captains. I booked a charter and paid the deposit and received a confirmation and the Captain didn't show up. I left a review so others would know and it was removed. Fishing Booker says that "if the trip doesn't happen then the review is removed." I got stood up with 2 friends from out of town and waited and waited and the captain ghosted me until i submitted the review. Buyer Beware. Fishing Booker is a unreliable.

The reason why your review isn't shown on the listing is that our system automatically posts a review stating that the captain canceled at short notice if this is the case. If you check back on the listing you booked, you'll see that this cancellation notice for your trip is currently the first review that shows up, even though there have been more reviews since then. On the other hand, custom-written reviews are reserved for trips that actually took place (as they're reviewing the fishing experience).

Beyond that automatic cancellation review, there's actually a lot that goes on behind the scenes if a captain ever cancels a trip. Our goal as a company is to help people go fishing, so we promote captains who have a record of going ahead with their trips. Each cancellation affects how well captains show up on our website, meaning you're most likely to see listings that have a track record of being reliable. And it goes without saying that if anything like this happens, the customer gets a full refund of their deposit.

Booked for a fishing charter through their web-site on September 1,2020 for October 2,2020. I contacted the captain 12 days before the grip and asked him about details of the fishing charter, uniform requirements and other important information. He did not provide any information and asked me to contact him two days before the trip.

Fishingbooker does not wanna publish my review as they support and backup bad and fraudulent behavior of their partner and interested that more people will be trapped by this scammer.

After you travelled many hours and would like to get a service that you paid expensive price for, but you see a scam!

First of all, I'm very sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience with your latest reservation with us. I'm also sorry that you felt unable to share your experience with other FishingBooker customers. The reason you weren't able to leave a review was simply because reviews are appraisals of fishing trips and therefore can only be left once the trip is complete. As you decided not to take your trip, this meant that it wasn't possible to leave a review.

I'd like to share a little more information about the trip in question if I may. The listing you booked is with an inland river fishing guide who fishes the Salmon River. This river is run by a dam company, meaning the water levels can vary and, if water isn't released from the dam, the river can be too shallow to run a drift boat. On those occasions, fishing trips are done by wading – often resulting in huge catches!

Unfortunately, the guide doesn't get this information from the dam company until shortly before the trip, which is why he asked you to get in touch closer to the trip date in order to agree on the full details.

Previous customers have had a wonderful experience with this guide, but we realize that the information about the potential of wading should have been shared more clearly on the listing. Since you reached out to us about your reason for canceling your trip, we updated the description to make it more clear for people who aren't used to fishing in the area. We did of course also refund your deposit to you in full.

I can see that you had a much better experience on the previous trip that you booked with us – congrats on the big Striper! I sincerely hope that you'll enjoy lots more successful fishing trips in the future.

Buyer beware! Captain Owen whitehead of fish and juice left me sitting at the dock after rescheduling and I paid him $500 never responded to calls or texts. I have filed a police report and charges will be pressed. I booked him through fishing booker and no help from them eve after I screenshot a text clearly catching Owen in a lie claiming he took us for 3 hours and they did nothing! Unreputble unprofessional

From what we understand, while the captain agreed to reschedule the initial trip with you, miscommunication lead to some crossed wires and unmet expectations on your behalf. However, we know this led to a negative experience for you and can understand any frustrations it must have caused. Because of this, we canceled the booking for you, refunded your deposit, and encouraged the captain to refund you more of your trip cost, which he did.

I booked a trip with fishing booker and it got canceled because the captain that was going to take us motor blew up. I found another trip with another captain on my own. I really don't think that the captain emailed me and said his boat motor blew up. Needless to say I am still waiting on my refund. I am going to contact my lawyer and see what can be done about this. We fully agree with you that if a captain has trouble with their boat or motor the customer should get their deposit back. In fact, our only income comes from successful trips – our business model simply doesn't support us keeping deposits unless you get to go fishing.

I see that your deposit refund was issued in early September and that you got confirmation of this over email. I know it can take up to 7 business days for the bank to process these funds, but can you confirm that this is settled now?
