Hi I recently came back to fingerhut after 25 years and so far I have been happy with all my purchases except the women's tops with built in bra they were way too big and awkward fit. I enjoy the cheap monthly payments and it brought my credit score back up. I ordered so far 6 pairs of sneakers from here in the past and today a gold ring.

I brought Birkenstocks for my granddaughter for Christmas. They didn't fit. I returned them and they are not going to refund my money. I only made this purchase from them. Some how they are taking it off my balance which is absolutely ridiculous! I told them I wanted my account closed. I am writing to the BBB see if they can help. So please do not EVER use Fingerhut.

High risk. They are what they are.

My entire bill is almost paid off and for good reason. Recently, I considered buying some beats headphones from them until I compared the prices on apple ($199) and amazon ($149). It's outrageous to charge $450 for the same headphones and they really need to knock that off. Two stars, because while I have received orders in the past (the shipping has been astronomically painful) they did arrive on time. Three knocked off because beats headphones are not that expensive in reality.

Do comparison shopping before you buy from them and look at the figure below where it says "month". Something that's $450 will be tacked on as $38.99 to your bill.

I believe most of fingerhuts merchandise is store returns. I have even received a watch that was later found to be fake. They double sometimes even triple the price because they know credit challenged people don't have a lot of options. I have paid on time for years and needed to move one of my payments date, mind you I had never been late and paid off balance several times. I got a representative on the phone and when told that I needed to move a payment date I rudely got the third degree about why I couldn't make my payment on the due date. You have the nerve to give me the third degree when I was never late paid off balance on several occasions and I have spent thousands on their pre owned over priced merchandise. I am paying them off and never using this service again.

Fingerhut is extremely overpriced but it has helped me raise my credit score somewhat and has helped me get credit cards. For this reason, I have continued to purchase from them. But the overwhelming number of phone calls that I receive has gotten rediculous. They call me the same as frequently as if I wasn't making my payments. (I have never been behind in a payment to fingerhut. In fact, I pay early and always pay off my balance ahead of schedule). I only answered once and the recording told me that I had been given a credit raise. Ok, that one was fine. But why call me every dadgum day!? I answered again today only because I was still upset about the call that I declined on my phone earlier this morning at 8am! The woman on the other end of the line started out be verifying who she was speaking with and then read me the line about recorded messages bla bla bla. She never got straight to the point so I told her not to call again. On top of that, you could hardly understand what she was saying because her English was so badly broken. Because of the outrageously rediculous amount of phone calls that I have been receiving from fingerhut, I have paid off my balance and as soon as the payment in full hits my account, my account will be closed. PERMANENTLY!

Have you ever received a notice from a debt collection agency? If so, you know that it contains language similar to this:

"This is an attempt to collect a debt. Any information obtained will be used for that purpose.

As required by law, you are hereby notified that a negative credit report reflecting on your credit record may be submitted to a credit reporting agency if you fail to fulfill the terms of your credit obligations."

Normally, you don't receive notices like that unless you have defaulted on your debt, and the debt is handed over to a debt collection agency. Fingerhut, however, will send you this threat before your payment is even due! As a person who takes great pride in paying my bills in full and on time, every time, I don't appreciate being treated like a debt-dodger by a company that is obviously paranoid about not getting paid.

I e-mailed them to complain about this, but they haven't replied to me. I won't be buying anything else from them because of this issue.

I just got approved with a line of credit for 700 dollars after I read those reviews I think I'm going to cancel the card

I've been shopping Fingerhut for about 1.5 years. I mostly used it to improve my credit, which so far has been proven successful. I've only bought a few things here and there, knowing full well that everything is overpriced to begin with. The shipping is horrid; $40 for less than $120 worth of products, with the weight being less than 10 pounds. It's not the best place to buy stuff, but when you have no credit, it suffices.

Everyone I have ever talked to was rude. They over charge on shipment. I haven't ordered much but some of it is not of great quality. I'm almost done paying off the balance and I think I will be done with this site.

I bought the bàkeware set item number NIFZC. Twenty piece set in Dec. I didn't use it till this month as I was in the process of moving.it has already started to rust and peel.Not happy with it. All.

I received email offering me credit & discounr on my order. I have not received confirmation that my recent order was shipped on open credit. Where is my order,& when should I expect to receive it.? I am asking the media to investigate. I want my order.

I had wanted to order a coffee table and finally went to place my order but the site said I couldn't change my shipping and billing address without calling customer service first (I had recently moved right after getting an account). I called customer service and after "verifying" who I actually am with everything besides giving them a blood sample the rep assured me that my billing and shipping info would be changed after 48 hours. I thought that was a long time to do a simple address change but whatever. 48 hours came and went, 3 days came and went so I called again and explained I wanted to order something but couldn't until my address was changed. The rep said to give it a couple more days. I was irritated but decided the table was worth it. A couple more days came and went. This time I called and was very angry, again the rep asked me a series of questions to "verify" that I am who I say I am and then after my tone was noticeably frustrated she went ahead and changed my address in a matter of seconds! I asked why it took over a week to do something when it just now took her a few seconds to do and she didn't really have an answer for me. With my address finally changed I went to place my order again and AGAIN it said I would have to call customer service. I went through the runaround yet again and a new rep said they had to now verify my account. If I had ordered through anyone else I would've had my table by now. Hopefully my coffee table comes when expected and it is all worth it. Very disappointed and exhausted with customer service.
