I ordered Apple Air Tags - despite the fact the courier claimed they were delivered, they were not. Even though there was an adult at home waiting to receive the parcel, the delivery company couldn't provide any proof of delivery - no signature, no photo of the parcel being left anywhere. JD Williams customer service was truly dreadful - didn't listen, or even respond to emails. I have never come across a company quite so obviously contemptuous of its customers, and quite so determined to lose them.

BEWARE you will be charged interest and a non payment charge even if items are returned and there is no payment due! You are expected to make a minimum payment even though you have returned goods! Ridiculous - never come across this before. Would not recommend using and customer services waste of time.

Tip for consumers:
You are charged from point of order, therefore if you return goods you still at interest! Ridiculous

Terrible experience, they don't even know where my parcel is. It's lost somewhere and then they take years to even get this sorted. Why does it take so long? Terrible service.

They have been saying it's been alerted to the upper team for ages now. Like when will you guys actually solve this issue?

Poor communication from the team, no support is available, and delivery times are abysmal.

If you call them, they will tell you someone will get back to you the next day - but then you won't get a single response.

Disgusting company with the worst customer services ever. Having been a loyal customer for over 4 years, purchasing many items and never missing a payment they cut my account without any explanation. Waited a month for a letter explaining that they could at anytime withdraw customers accounts, disgusting treatment. Don't bother using this company. I have spent thousands with them over the years.

On the 4th October 2021 J D Williams courier Hermes posted my parcel through my opened top window and pushing my shutters open and rested my parcel on top of the shutters. This caused damage to my ornaments on my window seal and stress to my dog. I have been in contact with J D Williams over 30 times regarding this issue and all they say is that a manager will be in touch within the next 48 hours. I'm still awaiting there call. They have said that Hermes are not reliable for the damaged they caused and they agreed with me that this is not the way to deliver a parcel.

After JD Willams, took my order wrong, took my money, I made 3 phones, wrote to them. They admitted their mistakes and the fact I still don't have my order, as they didn't dispatch it... they haven't given me my refund... I have to stamp my own claim form! A supervisor won't speak to me... terrible service. Don't use them.

The last order had been disgusting items not arriving saying on website they were delivered lots issues with order they told me because of the issues that I have had they would take 10% off my garden furniture the guy lied to me as it had another been done I asked him 3 time have you taken the 10% off the garden furniture turns out he never done it after saying he had done service is disgusting I am clearing account of they lie threw there teeth never resolve anything they say they will just disgusting service kevin mcgrath

DO NOT ORDER from this company, they are utterly poor. They don't secure delivery of your goods and then won't issue a refund. I don't want anything else to do with them, please don't engage with them either.

JD Williams keep telling me i am in arrears on my account, when I know that I am not, but can you get past the first line of their dreadful customer service to speak to someone senior. NO, YOU CAN NOT

Literally the worst customer service that could ever be provided! Ordered 7 blinds almost three weeks ago. These were dispatched but never delivered by their courier EVRI. Made several calls to the South African call centre and was given misinformation every time. Eventually spoken to one of their managers after them refusing to transfer me to somebody in the UK. He told me that I was better ordering the blinds again and assured me that the same thing would not happen. He then ordered the wrong amount of blinds. To my dismay after tracking the items, EVRI again returned it to JD Williams. In the meantime I have approximately £1500 debited to my account for these two sets of blinds that were never delivered and they have not yet refunded me for either. To anyone with a brain, these items obviously exceed the permissible weight and dimensions that EVRI handle, yet they continue to advertise these items and continue to send them out with this courier. I have tried unsuccessfully to contact the Manchester head office, and whilst I have had some replies, they have not responded to me in a timely way and not addressed the issue. They take several days to respond to any email. This company is impossible to deal with.

Placed an order for a four seater garden table and chairs 10th May at the time it said delivery would be in 8 days it arrived the 9th June that evening my husband and I spent hours putting the chairs together as they came flat packed when we started to put the table together we noticed the fixings for the legs were in the wrong place we had 2 legs together at the top of the table one leg each side and nothing at the bottom rendering the table unable to stand. We were also 2 seat cushions missing. So next morning I contacted customer service and spoke to Wasim who said that he would send the replacement table and cushions out and they will be with me by the weekend. Brilliant I said. Then I started getting emails one saying they spare parts department have not got my missing parts but if I can sorce the parts they will refund me 20% of the cost I replied asking if they are saying I should buy a new leg for the table or just get some brick's to prop it up? The next email said that they can arrange a collection for the table and chairs then they will refund me my money then I can re order the table and chairs. Now is it me or is this just madness
Each email I have received is from a different person oh and to top it all no date can be given for collection they just turn up and if you are out then you have to phone in again for a new one

Don't believe delivery times when you place the order and pay the money and don't trust that customer service are there to help you resolve or listen your problems

I purchased a TV at a reasonable price only to find they have taken the payment from my account twice, leaving me overdrawn. I contact them and they blame my bank. My bank (correctly) say ABSOLUTE RUBBISH! I contact them again and they admit it was them (they lied to me then) and they're sorry but thanks for letting them know! Having none of this i argue the point (for an HOUR) & they offer £10 and 15% off clothing? I buy a TV and they offer cheaper clothes, what? So come back and spend more money with us after giving you utterly dreadful service. JD Williams, you are officially one of the worst. AVOID

Beyond disgusted. Informed of stolen card being used by customer. Continued to accept stolen and stopped card payments after being informed that the matter was in hands of police and fraud teams. VILE Fraudsters!

Tip for consumers:
Never use this company, Fraudsters who do not care where money is coming from

Sent to someone else using my stolen card despite being informed that card was stolen and that payment could be stopped! Card and buyers address clearly did mot match, bank and police involved but still continued to process payment a week after card was stopped. Clear fraud! Accepting money and sending goods on a stolen card!!

I tried to arrange a return of a washing machine a few days after purchase and experienced issue after issue. Everyone who has tried calling their helpline can feel my pain. The quickest response was after 38 minutes waiting in line. My record is hanging up frustrated after 2.5 hours without response. Several emails and Facebook messages asking for a call are being ignored. The chat is completely useless too. They send Hermes to my billing address. Hermes does not collect items of this size and my billing address is different to the delivery address. I thought this was bad but it has gotten more frustrating since. For 10 days now have I tried to arrange the collection. Twice my promised 48 hour call back did not happen. After more hours waiting in line and sending more emails the phone was answered and I was told the company they are using stopped collecting until further notice and they cannot tell me when it will be possible again. No solution was offered whatsoever. I do not have the space to store a washing machine for weeks. I emailed their Complaint Management Team as well but have not heard back from them. Apparently they have an 8 weeks response time.:-D:-D When I called CMT I was simply told that I am calling the wrong department, the help offered was: "I can try and transfer you but I am not sure if they will answer." They didn't. I am at the end of my patience and completely helpless and looking at my options. I will report this to the local trading standards department as JD Williams is breaching my statutory rights and I will hopefully get some legal advise.

AVOID this company at all costs. They allow fraudsters to open accounts in your name but with a strange address, without doing the proper ID and address checks. And then wrongfully add info to your credit file affecting your credit score! They then refuse to accept responsibility for their actions, refuse to admit they were at fault and refuse to uphold the complaint lodged with them. My credit score has been seriously affected because of their incompetence and shady business running. There are hundreds of similar complaints across the Web and on social media.
This company needs to be investigated for their misconduct and lack of due diligence!

AVOID this company. Do not trust what they say. They allow fraudsters to open accounts in your name without doing the proper checks.

Absolute shocking company it all went wrong from day 1. My brand new iPhone 13 pro was delivered to the wrong address by parcelforce on the 23rd October as it stands November 10th I still don't have my iPhone 13 pro. Parcelforce openly admitted they have miss delivered it on the 25th October after sending them cctv footage. I have all this is written proof yet JD Williams don't want to know just keep fobbing me off. I will never use JD Williams again and I would advise you shop else where as this outfit don't know their arsehole from their elbow. They just like to fob you off and think the problem is going to go away.

Ordered a dishwasher, that was showing as in stock on the website, paid in full, which included a £10.50 delivery charge, and was told it would be delivered in 3-5 working days. 3 working days later still no delivery confirmation, I rang to be told that the dishwasher wasn't in stock, it was expected to come into stock within 5 days but it may not and to ring the next morning to see if it had. I emailed a complaint to jd williams which 3 days later I still had no response to, despite receiving an email stating they would respond within 48 hours. I rang again 2 days later to check whether the dishwasher had come in to stock to be told they are not expecting it for another week. I've cancelled my order but have now got to wait for confirmation of the cancellation from the delivery company, which can take 3-5 days, before they will issue a refund. This is the first time I have used this company and will definitely not consider using them again!

I am absolutely disgusted at the service I have received. On an incorrect size order on the 13 June I spoke with a member of your team who advised that I was not able to cancel the item - Please find the web chat and look over this as now and unbeknown to me one of my items, a totally different item was cancelled even though I was advised I would have to reorder the correct size.
My parcel arrived on the 18 June for me to find an item was missing on looking at my account online this is when I note the item was cancelled - no one had contacted me and I have been charged for this item.
I participated in web chat again with Jody who told me that the item was cancelled by the warehouse because there was no stock. I asked Jody why I was not advise and why I had not been refunded? I received a basic reply saying I would be refunded today 19 June. I asked her if I would not have contacted you would JD Williams have just kept my money for the item that was cancelled, she replied YES, when I queried this further Jody left the chat and Nozuko joined the chat, Nozuko did not even speak over the chat so this led me to have to contact Customer service. I rang customer service and spoke to Jennifer, Jennifer advise me that the item was cancelled by myself on the 13 June. I told her this was incorrect and that I was unaware of any cancelled items and I was told the opposite in fact and that I would have to order again the size I needed. She advised again this was incorrect and at this point she started to raise her voice at me. I told her over and over the funds had been taken from my credit card and she basically started that this could not have been. Jennifer went off to speak with a manager. On her return she flippantly advised that the refund would just take longer and I will be refunded. I felt like, I feel like I am not been listened to and that no one is taking note that I have just made a complaint about the service I am receiving and the fact no one communicated the cancelled item, but yet I was still paying for it. She reiterated she had spoken to the manager and this is what he said, I asked why I was not speaking to the manager, was he not interested in my complaint and the way I had been handled, she replied he didnt have time to speak to me he was going into a meeting, this I have to be honest was the icing on the cake. I asked the managers name, I asked for a surname for the reference of my complaint she advised he was Dan **** I asked for her ref or surname and she declined to give me this stating that it would be noted in my account. She was at this time shouting at me and losing her temper, I did acknowledge the calls are recorded, she stated that then her reference will be picked up there too and started to say my conversation with Jody was on my account, however when she read the information about Jody she was referring to it was not the conversation with Jody she was relaying back to me but the conversation on Web chat on the 13 June. I told Jennifer this and she still declined to give me any further information on who I was speaking with.
By this point she was arguing with me and raising her voice. I told her I could not listen to this conversation further and I was hanging up because she was shouting and arguing with me. She then told me I was shouting at her and thats why she was shouting at me...
I am absolutely flabbergasted at what has just happened. I cannot believe that I have just had to endure this whole situation. I will tell you now I am that disgusted at what has just happened - baring in mind non of this my doing I am going to make a formal complaint and I am going to take to social media to express my upset.
I was left in tears and distraught after the service I have received - I am mortified

Customer Service.
On a day to day basis of ordering and returning there is no issue with this service. However the customer service is shocking. If the enquiry is outside their remit of replying via email with a standard template they tell you they have to escalate the query to a Manager. Once it gets to this point you never hear back again. If you reply to the "standard template" email you also do then do not get another reply it's goes no further and if you start a brand new email it's exactly the same pattern all over again.
If you try to talk somebody you will pay 13p per minute and then go through to a call centre in Cape Town, I did this on Monday I was kept on the phone for over an hour and the outcome is the same as the email, apart from in the occasion the operator Wayde did openly lie and tell me my bike order was in transit and on it way to me and the driver will call me two hours before he arrives, the truth is the bike was not even in stock( after a constant change in the promise delivery date) yet alone in transit, Wayde did tell me the name of the courier company to make it more convincing " direct delivery's". Then he cancelled the order in error and told me I will need to wait another 10 days. Then I get an email the next day advising me the supplier has cancelled the order. Incidentally the bike has been removed from the website. I was promised a goodwill credit towards another model bike by Tony in the Cape Town call centre but it will come as no surprise that this has not been raised A £350 order is nothing to a company this size but customer satisfaction and common decency is also nothing to them.

It is against their company policy to give a personalised email address for any management and there is no formal complaints procedure that they adhere to. The group CEO Stephen Johnson does not have any contact information available.
The more you challenge an outcome the more they ignore you. They are part of the N B Brown group which is a massive organisation, but they also don't respond to emails so It must be a group policy. Really disappointing and upsetting but this is clearly the vision of the Board and The Share holders.

This company is just pitiful... sharks. There is no words to describe how utterly awful they are. Unhelpful does not cover it. This is going back years, about 6. Yes 6. I thought 8 but let's be generous! I returned a hoover, but moved shortly after. Didn't think anything of it as I had no outstanding credit with them. Fast forward to 2020 where I got a letter at my new address stating that a CCJ has been issued against my name. What? I wrote to them, called them, wrote to the Court but it would cost me the amount of the debt (I use that term lightly as I didnt have a debt with them. The item was returned) to get it to court to dispute it. Fine. Have your money that you are so desperate to have. So. Been paying it now. Then, they say they want to help because I wrote a bad review on Trustpilot. As I stated to them in my email. Which I doubt anything will come of and they won't do jack about it... fear not... I shall find every single platform I can and write continuous bad reviews as it sickens me you are allowed to get away with it. How can I have disputed it at the time when you sent NO PAPERS... no brainer!
AVOID. Just sharks... never ever do I touch anything that I don't have the cash to pay for nowadays.

Dont use this catologe its a rip off charges are exstream your paying 4 times the amount for one item time they put the charges on if you pay £150 a month they take £17 off your bill robbers

Disgusting customer service,
Been a customer for years with never really any problems until now.

Ordered a 65" television that took over a week to be delivered, when the item was delivered it was labeled up as a 65" and invoiced as a 65" but when we took it out the box it was only a 50".

Made phone calls to get the problem solved as it was a picking and packing error clearly.

First I was told the correct TV would be sent out and the wrong TV will be exchanged over at the same time. Saving time, problems and because the error was their fault.

Two days later called again to ask what is going on to have to go through to a manger by the name of MARWAN who sounded South African.

To my surprise the customer service was disgusting, arguing back, stating I didnt say what I did, interrupting conversation, attitude stank.
This is the worst customer service I have ever received from anyone before. Absolutely dispicable the way he was speaking to me.

I will advise you to avoid this company as much as you can. Especially the customer service side of it.
We are still with out a TV two weeks later, still waiting on the TV to be collected and returned for an account refund which can take anything up to two weeks. We can no longer have the TV we order as its no longer on their web site yet we are paying for it.

All this time being with out a television with disabled children.

They have sold us a TV that they don't have in stock any more and basically try fobbing us off with a smaller TV and tried to get away with it.

As usual what a rubbish company. They are willing to charge you next day delivery but you never received it because they will not stop using EVRI to deliver their orders. When you get in touch with them they refused to help in any way and have no way of contacting the courier, which again is useless. I ordered next day delivery and it was supposed to delivered yesterday at my work between 5.00pm and 6.00pm. We close at 5pm but I stuck around as I was told that it might be a bit late and that they could delivered up to 8pm. I stay at my office in an unsafe place until 8pm and no delivery. I had conformation today 03/11/2022 that it would be delivered between 11.30am and 12.30pm. Wouldn't you know it, it did not arrive. Now they are saying anytime between 5.30pm and 6.30pm. I then had a very circular conversation with the webchat which was utterly utterly useless, with absolutely no resolve. What is the point in charging premium delivery when you do not get a premium service!
