On 3/12/24 I placed an order online paying with a VISA gift card. The next day I tried to use the same card for a retail purchase and it was denied for insufficient funds. When I checked with the gift card service, there was an unauthorized purchase for $145. Someone at Fat Brain Toys used my card info to drain my gift card. Fat Brain Toys is not helpful to resolve this. Why order from a company with untrustworthy staff? I'm extremely disappointed.

After ordering a toy for my grandson, I realized it was not in his age range after looking at the appropriate ages online again. I never opened the box – it was in its original packaging and sealed well. I requested a refund fully understanding I would have to pay the shipping costs. Several days later I received an email saying they were giving me a gift certificate because according to them, the toy had not been packaged properly, which again I never even opened. When I called the representative to see why I had not received my refund she told me her notes said the box was flimsy and the toy 'was destroyed'. I have no control over what UPS does with their packages during deliveries and the box was very sturdy. I believe this is a tactic/scam that Fat Brain uses so they can keep the money and it's their word against the consumers. Please be wary of this company – I will not be using them again, knowing they are taking advantage of their customers. Rebecca M.

Fat Brain Toys have been far more superior in quality, than any other toys I have bought in the past.

When placing my order they give specific dates when it will be delivered, not estimates. I paid an extra $45 to have it overnighted by 10:30 am. They didn't ship the toy till the morning it was to be delivered.

When I called customer service to get a partial refund on the shipping cost, they basically called me a lier. They said they don't ship past 3 pm on Fridays and not on the weekends and would look into why their page stated the dates that were provided to me...I doubt they will.

They wouldn't provide any refund because they still have to eat the cost. But why should I have to eat the cost for their page providing me false info.

Just terrible customer service.

I have purchased many items from Fat Brain Toys for my grandchildren and for some friends. Each item was processed and delivered (correctly, each time) in remarkably quick time. In most cases my order was on its way the same day I placed it (even custom name items - all correct as well). Each age-appropriate item I have purchased has been terrific. I wish every company was as efficient and talented as these folks are. This is a great company to order from; you won; t be disappointed.

Horrible customer service! Just got off the phone with Becky the Customer Service Specialist. They apparently dont what customer service is. I ordered two gifts that were supposed to come yesterday and never arrived. UPS had no further information. I asked to reorder the items and have Fat Brain toys pay to have it here overnight so i would have the gifts on time for a party this weekend and Becky said no. I will never buy from Fat Brain toys again. This is why small businesses go out of business. So disappointed.

Fat Brain Toys is an amazing website with wonderful innovative products for kids. We were looking for some challenging games and activities for our kids and found some unique kits, award winning games, books, and science sets. Our orders were confirmed, estimated ship dates sent, confirmation of ship dates sent, and a follow up message after every order to ensure all items had been received.

If you are looking for unique items for kids -- this is the place to look.

Here is the best part, Fat Brain wants people to leave good and bad feedback regarding the items they carry. We bought a solar kit from them that, unfortunately, was poor quality due to the manufacturing of the individual pieces. We wrote a scathing review of this one item in our order. Fat Brain obviously checks out the reviews because after our posting, THEY contacted US and appologized for the poor quality of the item and gave us the option of contacting the manufacturer or contacting them for a replacement kit -- no questions asked! THAT is GREAT customer service!
